• Exception with RubyAMF and Ruby 1.9 although code works

  I'm getting an exception with RubyAMF using Ruby 1.9 and Rails 2.3.5. Although code afterward executes normally I'm not very comfortable with seeing such exception in the log file. • Simple 2 player server

  I have recently started learning javascript and html and have developed simple 2 player games such as tick-tack-toe, battleship, and dots&boxes. However these 2 player games can only be played on one computer (i.e. the 2 players must sit together) However, I want to modify this so that one can play with a friend on a different computer. • Ububtu 13.04 Rename Computer

  How can I rename my computer? Renaming it in /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname does something weird. Before renaming it, I am able to open these files via sublime using sudo subl /etc/hosts but when I rename my Computer (using nano) and open any of these files using subl, I get this message: No protocol specified (sublime_text:20071): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0 So I guess renaming in the above files is not the only thing I have to do. PS: If I rename using sublime, after renaming one of the files, I get same message when I try to open other file

  My Bluetooth is not working in Ubuntu 13.04. I am unable to turn it on and also, Bluetooth icon doesn't show up in the top bar. I asked about this on #ubuntu IRC and they said that I am missing the proprietary drivers for it. There is nothing under Additional Drivers in Software and Updates Bluetooth does work 'Try Ubuntu mode' when I boot Ubuntu from DVD/USB. How can I get the required drivers?

• How to make sliding button sidebar in Flex

  Hi, I'm fairly new to Flex. I want to make a button (icon) on the far right in the middle of the page that display a sliding side bar with multiple buttons in it when you hover over it. I want when the user hover out of the button bar it slides back again. Conceptually I got the basics of that to work. The issue I'm having is that when the user moves the mouse between the buttons in the sidebar it kicks in changing state and side bar slides back again. I tried using different types of containers and I got the same results. Any Advice? • Convert MBR to GPT - Without any OS

  I just got a new laptop without any OS (it had FreeDOS, but not anymore). When I go to Windows Installer and try to create a new partition from un-allocated space, I don't get any Error message but the installer is unable to create the partition. At the bottom of the installer window, there's a warning which says something like, Windows cannot install on MBR *partition. On EFI systems, Windows can only install on GPT *partition How can I convert MBR to GPT without any OS?

• Win 7 x64 explorer.exe stops responding on copy/paste

  Few months ago I changed my Win7 orb using this software. But it changed only the explorer.exe in C:\Windows. To solve that, I copied explorer.exe from there to C:\Windows\system32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (Probably a bad idea). Things were working fine until a few days ago, it started giving me problems while copying. Sometimes, when I copy/paste, It works fine but sometimes it stays on that dialog box which looks like it is doing pre-copying things like counting number of files/file size etc. But its not. It stays on that screen forever. Now if I try to close it, title changes to cancelling but rest stays the same. If I try to close it too many times, explorer.exe crashes. And its not related to file-size. It may crash for 4Mb file and work fine for 10Gb file but some other time, it'll do the opposite. Is there any way to reset my explorer.exe and Is this because of explorer.exe or something else PS: I forgot to take backup of explorer.exe. PS2: I didn't install any software or downloaded anything that could harm my computer. EDIT I tried System Restore and SFC /scannow but they didn't help.

  I have jQuery thickbox(TB_iframe=true) which shows an https page in an iframe based overlay. the parent page is http & overlay page is https.if i use self.parent.tb_remove() This does not work and gives me Permission denied for https://www.abc.com to get property Window.tb_remove from http://www.abc.com. Any solution. I want to be able to close the thikbox irrespective to whether its is https or http page that it is displaying in an iframe.

  Hi I need to segment text using fullstops using PHP/Javascript.The problem is if I use "." to split text then abbreviations , date formatting (12.03.2010 ) or urls as well split-ed , which I need to prevent.There are many such possibilities , I might not be able to imagine.   HI I have to implement login over SSL in my website. for example cloginForm - this is the form https://www.myweb.com/loginProcess - this is the action which process the form -authenticates user. I am able to do this with usual web form but the problem is the overlay dialog box for login for example if I am on my website home page http://www.myweb.com - notice http and I click a login link there , it shows a small html div with login form (like a litebox).now ,as I am on a non SSL page (http) the data which I post does not get encrypted,and posted to the process action.   suppose i have a dll with 2 functions.name of dll="dll1" f1(int a, int b, int c); f2(int a); my program would take the funtion name ,the dll name and a "list" of parameters as input. how would i call the appropriate function with its appropriate parameters. i.e, if input is dll1 f1 list(5,8,9) this would require me to call f1 with 3 parameters if input was dll1 f2 list(8) it would require me to call f2 with one parameter how would i call the function without knowing the number of parameters in advance. further clarification: how do I write code that will call any function with all its arguments by building the argument list dynamically using some other source of information
