• Will Django user permissions work for models with inline tabular forms of other models?

  I am setting up DJango admin to make a model editable. On the same page I have tabular inline of a child model. Everything works as expected. Now I want to restrict permission on the tabular inline child form. Specifically remove update and delete permissions on it. I have tried removing the permissions for the admin user using the 'user permissions' of that user. However, it does not work. Does DJango respect the user permissions in regards to inline model forms?

• Anyone know about a good general way to fix IE 7 CSS issues?

  Just made a site using great standards compliant semantic HTML and CSS. It looks great in Gecko, Web Kit, but IE7 mangles it (of course). Any progress yet on this front, or do I have to go through a tonne of hacks as is standard with IE.

  I have a Django radio button group that renders to HTML as follows: <ul> <li><label for="id_package_id_0"><input type="radio" id="id_package_id_0" value="1" name="package_id" /> Test 256</label></li> <li><label for="id_package_id_1"><input type="radio" id="id_package_id_1" value="2" name="package_id" /> Test 384</label></li> <li><label for="id_package_id_2"><input type="radio" id="id_package_id_2" value="3" name="package_id" /> Test 512</label></li> <li><label for="id_package_id_3"><input type="radio" id="id_package_id_3" value="4" name="package_id" /> Test 768</label></li> <li><label for="id_package_id_4"><input type="radio" id="id_package_id_4" value="5" name="package_id" /> Test 1024</label></li> </ul> I need it to render without being a list. I am a aware of form.as_p, form.as_table, and form.as_ul. They will not help me as they continue to add extra HTML tags. As well, I am not using the form object in it's absolute entirety, just for validation. I am doing a custom template for the form already, but wish to continue to the radio widget.

• Can I override a query in DJango?

  I know you can override delete and save methods in DJango models, but can you override a select query somehow to intercept and change a parameter slightly. I have a hashed value I want to check for, and would like to keep the hashing internal to the model.
