  • Is it possible to compile Silverlight controls project with Nant?

    Hi all, I am attempting to compile my Silverlight control project with Nant without luck. Since my project contains XAML files, I am not sure if Nant is capable of generating the .g.cs files from the XAML file to be compiled into the project. I have come across posts where people suggest using the MsBuild task. Is there a way to avoid using the MsBuild task and compile the project using just Nant? I am not against using the MsBuild task. But would prefer to not use it if possible. Thank You, Vish

  • php mkdir windows relative path

    Hi, Want to create a directory on windows from a PHP script. My script is in www/Test directory of Apache and want to create a folder(fold1) inside www/downloads directory. Inside the script, using, $dirName = "../downloads/fold1"; mkdir("{$dirName}"); If we use the full path of dirName like C:\Apache\www\downloads\fold1, it works fine. But want to use relative path since this code will be sent to the client. Please let me know. Thanks, Vish.

  • Flex datagrid multiple rows single file

    Hi, I have a flex datagrid with 3 columns. The first column contains the image name(unique key). The other two columns have username and size details. I want to split the username into lastname, firstname, address and some other stuff. Can we have multiple rows in the grid for one image? Tried multi-line, it works but we need to keep adding spaces and its cumbersome. Since each row in the flex datagrid is represented by one index in the XMLList which is enumerated, is there a way to have more than one row assigned to one image and shown in the grid? something like this..     Hi, Recently got started on MapGuide. Kind of lost. The amount of information available on the web is overwhleming. My requirement is to use custom maps of a campus and building and navigate from a campus view to the floor levels and floor plans of that building.     Hi, We have an application which uses WAMP server. Now, there is a new requirement from a customer who wants to use MS SQL Server instead of MySQL. How easy is it to port to SQL Server from MySQL. Also it has to retain this configuration. Apache-PHP-SQL Server on windows. How can I connect from Apache to SQL Server.     I'm a flash actionscript game developer who is a bit backward with mathematics, though I find physics both interesting and cool. For reference this is a similar game to the one I'm making: Untangled flash game I have made an untangled game almost to full completion of logic. But, when two lines intersect, I need those intersected or 'tangled' lines to show a different color; red. It would be really kind of you people if you could suggest an algorithm with/without math for detecting line segment collisions. I'm basically a person who likes to think 'visually' than 'arithmetically' :) P.S I'm trying to make a function as private function isIntersecting(A:Point, B:Point, C:Point, D:Point):Boolean Thanks in advance.

  • How do I build a 2D physics engine?

    The most advanced games I've made are a 8-ball pool game made with the physics engine Box2dFlashAS3 and a platform game with levels. When I did platform games, I've always wished to know how to make an engine, so that I could re-use it. When I see games that have slopes, curved slopes, perfect gravity and real-life physics, I've always wished I knew how to code the engine. Please suggest techniques and articles for whatever relevant knowledge-base is necessary.

    I've noticed that the trend of movies is diving into the world of movies with 3-dimensional camera.For me it provoked a thought as if it was the same feeling people got when they saw a colour movie for the first time, like in the transition from black and white to colour it is a whole new experience. For the first time we are experiencing the Z(depth) factor and I really mean when I said "experiencing". So my question is or maybe if not a question, but Is there a possibility of a genre of 3d camera games upcoming?

    Hi Gurus, i am downloading tiff images from WAMP server using our Flex AIR client. It automatically prompts for a Save dialog. Works well. But i want to open the image being downloaded in a viewer(flash viewer or any) instead of the save dialog. Please help me. Thanks Vish.

    Hi, We use a Flex AIR client and a WAMP server. Tiff images are stored in MySQL. Currently, I can download the image from AIR client and it prompts for a download dialog. Things are fine till this point. We got a new requirement. Requirement is that only some users can print the image which gets downloaded. For other users, they should not be able to print the tiff image. Wondering how to accomplish this. One idea, not sure if its efficient, is to convert the image requested to pdf at the server side, disable print option there(hope there are API's available) and send back the pdf. Please let me know btter ideas. Also, is there a way to prevent file download dialog from popping up everytime the file is requested for download? Can we just get the file stream to the client and manipulate it to open with a particular viewer or write it to pdf... Please help.

  • I would like to build a Java Web Application. What's the quickest start?

    I am a reasonably competent programmer, with about 11 years experience. I particularly like Ruby/Rails and ActionScript. And Java is not too hard. I'd like to develop a web application in Java in order to leverage things like BlazeDS and learn some new tricks with regard to JBoss and the whole Java App thing. But I'm having trouble - and confused - looking for a smooth start. I don't want to use Grails, thanks, I want to use Pure Java, with whatever Framework you can think of. Spring, Hibernate, lalala, it's cool. Where do I start?

  • Flex Datagrid File Download old value

    Hi, We use a AIR client and WAMP server. Got a weird issue with Flex datagrid. When I download an image by double clicking on a datagrid row, the file gets downloaded correctly. But when I go on to select another row for download, even though the correct parameters are being passed, it again prompts download of old file. Upon cancelling that and trying again, it picks up the selected row.   • flex checkbox value not selected from database

    Hi, I have a small flex datagrid. The dataProvider is an xmlList. I have two columns, userList and user permissions. The user permissions column as checkboxes. The values for the checkbox are stored as 0 and 1 in mySQL. While returning it from PHP, I am converting them to true or false. Its returning the values correctly to the frontend. But inside the itemrenderer, the checkbox is not being set to true or false. Either everything is true or everything is false. Here is my code. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/4ba76933d3.gif How can I correctly set the value of the checkboxes from the DB values? Please help.

    Hi, We have nested folders with parent-child relationship. We use MySQL MyISAM DB. The data is stored in the DB in the following manner. Every time a child folder is created in the nested structure, the previous parentID is added. I want to get the RootFolderID of a folder which is added in the hierarchy as tabulated below. FoldID ParentID |RootFolderID -----------------|------------------- 1 0 | 0 2 1 | 1 3 2 | 1 4 3 | 1 5 4 | 1 Please let me know how to get the root folderID and populate it in the RootFolderID column after a folder is created each time.     Hi, I have values inside an XMLList in Actionscript. Need to send these values to the DB and update it. Also what should be the contentType in Flex.
