learning inkscape for webapp/website

Hello, I'm quite impressed with Incskape, it's very powerfull. That's why I wanted to start learning it. But how should I start (to learn it efficiently)? Should I read a book (anybody can recommend me a good one?) or just (inefficiently) do some tutorials on the internet. I really want to learn it to make professional graphics for a webapp or website.

So how should I tackle it? Thanks!
