Ubuntu ripped a CD for me into audio files but they are all .ogg format which I can't play on my MP3 player.
How can I convert .ogg files to .mp3 files?

As it was suggested here I am using cat command to concatenate several .mp3 files into one .mp3 file.
Imagine, I have following .mp3 files in the current folder:
001001.mp3 001002.mp3 001003.mp3 001004.mp3 001005.mp3
or, like this:
096001.mp3 096002.mp3 096003.mp3 096004.mp3

i am using
ffmpeg.exe -i 0123456789 -ab 192k out.m4a
ffmpeg.exe -i 0123456789 -f wav - | oggenc2.exe - -r -q 6 -o out.ogg
(0123456789 has no extension). My m4a output is 14,608kb while my ogg output is 19,809kb
why? AFAIK -q 6 is roughly 192kb. So it should be about even. I could see one file…

However, I heard that I can embed the subtitles inside the OGV-file as well.
How can I do this on Linux?

I was pretty surprised when i saw http://www.vorbis.com/music/Hydrate-Kenny_Beltrey.ogg link not give me a download option but had a player that was not flash playing the audio back. (FireFox)
