Accessing TCP stream from arbitrary port over cellphone proxy (WAP)

I'm using cricket QA30 which has a default proxy setting redirect 8080 at wap.mycricket.com which allows me to access http on port 8080 through internet explorer. I would like to access a TCP stream on an arbitrary port, and I think maybe if I get the socks "advanced setting" to work in Control Panel -> Internet Options to work I have a shot at it. Do you have any ideas?

HTTP Request from a PC to load the contents of a wap site
