Read the original article Hit count: 217

I have almost finished reading all the articles on Joel on software.

I am a new developer and hoping to get something interesting to read. Here is what is currently on my list:

  • Java Concurrency in Practice by Brian Goetz
  • sed & awk by Dougherty & Robbins (O'Reilly)
  • The Pragmatic Programmer by Andrew Hunt and David Thomas
  • Head First Design Patterns

Can anyone suggest anything else? Would especially like something similar to Joel. Something that is a bit edgy but informative. Pragmatic programmer has some key concepts but is a bit dry.
