Hello world!

This is my first time on Stackoverflow.com and it's great to be here!

I need some expert programmer out there to tell me how the GroupOn's platform operates, from the programming point of view.

Which are the most complex features it has and what technology do they use?

If I were about to start learning programming languages, what should I learn to create a site like GroupOn.com? Is there any website where I can learn the basic principles for free?
