Mac: Which Quicksilver-style fuzzy matching app can be used as a universal selection GUI for custom

I want to pass a bunch of text strings via AppleScript or the command line to the app which should then, after prompting the user, return the selected item.

Quicksilver and Launchbar only seem to work on internally catalogued items or directory contents.

Are there alternative apps that accept custom items?
