When i try to open my PC on network it opens slowly, but if i disable the firewall it opens quickly over there, any help will be appreciated about whats going on and how can i diagnose this problem!!

Is it possible to change the connection type in Windows 7? I have a OpenVPN connection which is identified as "unidentified network" and I do not want to apply certain rules to all unidentified networks in the firewall.
How does one conquer this?
