When creating relationships in access 2007 why doesn't the 1 and the many symbol show up.

When I create a relationship in access 2007 the line shows up connecting the two fields but I don't get the 1 on the primary key and the many sympol on the other field. It says one to many in the Edit realtionship box when I create the realitionship. Thanks in advanced for the help
