os: up-to-date Fedora 14. Working as a "normal desktop".

It's doing very well, but if i start VirtualBox, and e.g.: install a guest on it, it just "freezez". I mean if there are disk activities on a VirtualBox guest, then the computer becomes unrespondable..even the mouse is laggin for about 50 minutes..

What could be the bottleneck? What could be the problem?
If anyone has any tips/howtos to speed it up, please help!
It has a normal 2,5" HDD, with 5400 RPM.
Does it worth for me if i buy a 2,5" HDD with 7200 RPM?
T7200 cpu, 4 GByte RAM, "vm.swappiness = 0".

Thank you!
