I'm extremely new to ubuntu. I installed 12.04 on a laptop that had no os. I've tried following these forums to troubleshoot my internet problems only to be confused by all the steps. I need help. I'm willing to follow any instruction as long as they make sense. Any help would be nice.

The equipment i have is a Dell inspiron 1100 laptop wireless card is D link 2.4 dwl -g650 product ar5212/ar5313
