I have updated yesterday to Ubuntu 12.04 but can not access the Internet. It is an old PC without wireless. But the older Ubuntu I had installed up until now (11.??) worked perfectly.

I'm not that familiar with Ubuntu, and I have been trying Google for some time know, but I cannot find the answer.

I noticed that running nm-tool resulted in some things that don't sound right:

Type: wired
Driver: ne2k-pci
state: unavailable
Default: no
Carrier: off

Does anyone have a way to fix the connection?
