Why settle for zapping ducks on the screen when you could be popping balloons and lighting matches on fire? This awesome (but rather dangerous) hack turns an old Nintendo zapper into a legitimate laser gun.

Courtesy of the tinkers over at North Street Labs, we’re treated to a Nintendo zapper overhaul that replaces the guts with a powerful 2W blue laser, a battery pack, and a keyed safety switch. Check out the video below to see the laser blaster in action:
