Lubuntu 13.04 mysterious occurence of icons appearing to be dragged

Icons

On Lubuntu 13.04 every now and again, it appears as if an icon or file is being dragged across the screen...sometimes very short distances, sometimes longer.

It seems to happen a short while after moving around Desktop icons. One or more mock drag and drop operations are visible. It's almost as if the actions are being replayed.

What could be causing this? Is this a know issue? (Using nvidia-310-updates driver if any help).

Any input would be much appreciated!
