    I am work an Desktop Application in which i need to save the name of corrently focused or active window name(mozilla firefox, or any other file name) in an text file currently I am using getActiveWindow() method of KeyboardFocusManager which give the name of active Window, or null if the active Window is not a member of the calling thread's context.     I am looking at the website. Trying to transfer selenium html to junit but could not get it to work because it keeps saying Error: Element not found. Maybe syntax error because I was able to break it down to the shortest path in firebug but still could not get to compile..What do you do in this case ? Enrollment I use firebug Xpath to get the value of the above link /html/body/div[@id='contentDisplayPane']/div[@id='mainDiv']/div[@id='mainDivContent']/div[@id='simpleBox']/table/tbody/tr[2]/td[@id='fb_PageContent']/table/tbody/tr/td/table/tbody/tr/td[4]/a Using firebug xpath, I was able to break it down to this and able to access Enrollment link..However when I put this in the junit test case selenium.click(("//div[@id='simpleBox']/table/tbody/tr[2]/td[@id='fb_PageContent']/table/tbody/tr/td/table/tbody/tr/td[4]/a"); I get ERROR: Element //div[@id='simpleBox']/table/tbody/tr[2]/td[@id='fb_PageContent']/table/tbody/tr/td/table/tbody/tr/td[4]/a") not found Any help or tip is appreciated

  • How do you protect yourself from runaway memory consumption bringing down the PC?

    Every now and again I find myself doing something moderately dumb that results in my program allocating all the memory it can get and then some. This kind of thing used to cause the program to die fairly quickly with an "out of memory" error, but these days Windows will go out of its way to give this non-existent memory to the application, and in fact is apparently prepared to commit suicide doing so. Not literally of course, but it will starve itself of usable physical RAM so badly that even running the task manager will require half an hour of swapping (after all the runaway application is still allocating more and more memory all the time). This doesn't happen too often, but when it does it's disastrous. I usually have to reset my machine, causing data loss from time to time and generally a lot of inconvenience. Do you have any practical advice on making the consequences of such a mistake less dire? Perhaps some registry tweak to limit the max amount of virtual memory an app is allowed to allocate? Or some CLR flag that will limit this only for the current application? (It's usually in .NET that I do this to myself.) ("Don't run out of RAM" and "Buy more RAM" are no use - the former I have no control over, and the latter I've already done.)

    Hopefully this is an easy question. How can I define an XML type such that the type doesn't have a body. As an example I can define the Foo type as follows... <xs:complexType name="Foo"> <xs:simpleContent> <xs:extension base="xs:string"> <xs:attribute name="id" type="xs:integer" use="required"/> </xs:extension> </xs:simpleContent> </xs:complexType> But that would allow the following... <Foo id="7">STUFF I DON'T WANT</Foo> Is there a way I can change the xsd so that the Foo element isn't allowed any body?

  • Why build Javascript functions as JQuery plugins?

    I've seen alot of JQuery implementations of existent JavaScript functions that merely wrap the JavaScript code in a JQuery wrapper and don't actually rely on any of JQuery's base for their operation. What are the benefits of using Javascript as a JQuery plugin? If there are none is there a speed loss to use a JQuery plugin that could have easily been implemented outside the wrapper just as well? Many thanks in advance (just trying to learn something here).
