  • Supress output from Visual Studio output pane (C++)

    When I run my Win32 project in the Visual Studio debugger, I get this huge screed of output about which DLLs were loaded, first-chance exceptions, and so on. Is there a way that I can suppress this output? Some day, I might want to know when 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll' was loaded, but normally I don't care. This is especially true when I'm running unit tests, and just want to be told whether any of the tests failed. This stuff isn't output with console applications, but it is with windows applications. To give an example of what I mean, here are the first lines from the output of a recent unit-test run. 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\dev\MyProject\Testing\MyProject.exe', Symbols loaded. 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll' 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\kernel32.dll' 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\KernelBase.dll' 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\dbghelp.dll' 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcrt.dll' 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\user32.dll' 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\gdi32.dll' 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\lpk.dll' 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\usp10.dll' 'MyProject.exe': Loaded 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\advapi32.dll' ... and on and on ...

  • create temporary table from cursor

    Is there any way, in PostgreSQL accessed from Python using SQLObject, to create a temporary table from the results of a cursor? Previously, I had a query, and I created the temporary table directly from the query. I then had many other queries interacting w/ that temporary table. Now I have much more data, so I want to only process 1000 rows at a time or so. However, I can't do CREATE TEMP TABLE ... AS ... from a cursor, not as far as I can see. Is the only thing to do something like: rows = cur.fetchmany(1000); cur2 = conn.cursor() cur2.execute("""CREATE TEMP TABLE foobar (id INTEGER)""") for row in rows: cur2.execute("""INSERT INTO foobar (%d)""" % row) or is there a better way? This seems awfully inefficient.

  • Find distance between two points using MKMapKit

    Hi, I'm attempting to find the euclidean distance in meters between two points on an MKMapView using iPhone OS 3.2. The problem is that I have these coordinates in terms of latitude and longitude, which, mathematically provides me enough data to find the distance, but it's going to take some tricky trigonometry. Is there any simpler solution? Thanks!

I've edited the catalina.sh file to add: echo $0 echo $1 ...and I see: catalina.sh start ...etc when I use: ./catalina.sh start Why does catalina.sh not use the parameter?

  • NTLM Authentication fails when behind Proxy server

    Hi All, I've seen a number of post about consuming Web Services from behind a proxy server, but none that seams to address this problem. I'm building a desktop application, using Java, JAX-WS in NetBeans. I have a working prototype, that can query the server for authentication mode, successfully authenticate and retrieve a list of web site. However, if I run the same app from a network that is behind a proxy server (the proxy does not require authentication), then I'm running into trouble. I know from the Java docs that On Microsoft Windows platforms, NTLM authentication attempts to acquire the user credentials from the system without prompting the user's authenticator object. If these credentials are not accepted by the server then the user's authenticator will be called. Given that my Authentication code is called only ones, and only as the 5th attempt, it appears as if the connection is dropped when behind the proxy server before my Authentication object is used. Is there any way I can control the behavior of Authentication module, to not have it use the system credentials?     I have a cell array in Matlab y = { 'd' 'f' 'a' 'g' 'g' 'a' 'w' 'h'} I use unique(y) to get rid of the duplicates but it rearranges the strings in alphabetica order >> unique(y) ans = 'a' 'd' 'f' 'g' 'h' 'w' Like this I want to remove the duplicates but keep the same order. I know I could write a function do do this but was wondering if there was a simpler way using unique to remove duplicates while keeping the same order just with the duplicates removed. I want it to return this >> unique(y) ans = 'd' 'f' 'a' 'g' 'w' 'h'

  • Unix crypt() function in smalltalk/pharo

    Hello, I want to encode passwords for UNIX accounts using the crypt function. I'm using pharo 1.0. I tried to install the crypto package from squeakmap, but it gaves me an error and the package seem to get partially installed (categories without class). How can I get my password crypted? I'm willing to invoke external code, if it is required (and there's a package in SqueakMap that makes the trick in pharo). Thanks.

  • Facebook Graph API with Rails and Authlogic - preferred methodology?

    There are lots of Facebook + Rails solutions, most notably Facebooker, but this and many others are not compatible with Rails 3. I'm currently using Authlogic for authentication with my app, and I want to give users the option of Facebook to sign in. I want to find the best way to have FB and Authlogic go together; right now I'm just writing my own Authlogic add-on for Facebook but if this has already been done then I don't want to redo someone else's work. Does anyone know of anything like this?

  • How to represent a Many-To-Many relationship in XML or other simple file format?

    I have a list management appliaction that stores its data in a many-to-many relationship database. I.E. A note can be in any number of lists, and a list can have any number of notes. I also can export this data to and XML file and import it in another instance of my app for sharing lists between users. However, this is based on a legacy system where the list to note relationship was one-to-many (ideal for XML). Now a note that is in multiple lists is esentially split into two identical rows in the DB and all relation between them is lost. Question: How can I represent this many-to-many relationship in a simple, standard file format? (Preferably XML to maintain backwards compatibility)

So is there a decoration or other trick I can use that would cause the "get" path of the Log property to be lazy while the set path is being invoked?

Preferably as attributes like <bean> <ints> <int id='0'>12</int> <int id='1'>34</int> <int id='2'>56</int> </ints> </bean> Is there a way to do this?

  • Labview + National Instruments hardware or ???

    I'm in the processes of buying a new data acquisition system for my company to use for various projects. At first, it's primary purpose will be to monitor up to 20 thermocouples and control the temperature of a composites oven. However, I also plan on using it to monitor accelerometers, strain gauges, and to act as a signal generator. I probably won't be the only one to use it, but I have a good bit of programming experience with Atmel microcontrollers (C). I've used Labview before, but ~5 years ago. Labview would be good because it is easy to pick up on for both me and my coworkers. On the flip side, it's expensive. Right now I have a NI CompactDAQ system with 2 voltage and one thermocouple cards + Labview speced out and it's going to cost $5779! I'm going to try to get the same I/O capabilities with different NI hardware for less $ + labview to see if I can get it for less $. I'd like to see if anyone has any suggestions other than Labview for me. Thanks in advance!
