  • Getting control that fired postback in page_init

    I have a gridview that includes dynamically created dropdownlist. When changing the dropdown values and doing a mass update on the grid (btnUpdate.click), I have to create the controls in the page init so they will be available to the viewstate. However, I have several other buttons that also cause a postback and I don't want to create the controls in the page init, but rather later in the button click events. How can I tell which control fired the postback while in page_init? __EVENTTARGET = "" and request.params("btnUpdate") is nothing

  • Detect Rotation of a scanned image in C#

    We want a c# solution to correct the scanned image because it is rotated. To solve this problem we must detect the rotation angle first and then rotate the image. This was our first thought for our problem. But then we thought image warping would be more accurate as I think it would make the scanned image like our template. Then we can process it as we know all the coordinates of our template... I searched for a free SDK or a free solution in c#. Helping me in this will be great as it is the last task in our work.   • Using pinvoke in c# to call sprintf and friends on 64-bit

    I am having an interesting problem with using pinvoke in C# to call _snwprintf. It works for integer types, but not for floating point numbers. This is on 64-bit Windows, it works fine on 32-bit.   • Can i rename a file when the user does save as? HTML

    I use url rewriting and one of my urls is /blah/file ILLEGAL CHARS.jpg ILLEGAL CHARS are names not valid on windows such as * and may confuse servers even after escaping such as ? and /. I know i still cant save filenames as / and ? but certain characters i would like to let through. How can i give a new filename when the user right clicks and selects save as? i'm using asp.net

    ok now i am using the SQL database to get the values from different tables... so i make the connection and get the values like this: DataTable dt = new DataTable(); SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(); connection.ConnectionString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["XYZConnectionString"].ConnectionString; connection.Open(); SqlCommand sqlCmd = new SqlCommand("SELECT * FROM Machines", connection); SqlDataAdapter sqlDa = new SqlDataAdapter(sqlCmd); sqlCmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@node", node); sqlDa.Fill(dt); connection.Close(); so this is one query on the page and i am calling many other queries on the page. So do i need to open and close the connection everytime...??? also if not this portion is common in all: DataTable dt = new DataTable(); SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(); connection.ConnectionString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["XYZConnectionString"].ConnectionString; connection.Open(); can i like put it in one function and call it instead.. the code would look cleaner... i tried doing that but i get errors like: Connection does not exist in the current context. any suggestions??? thanks

    Hello all, I'm using Enterprise library, but the idea is the same. I have a SqlStringCommand and the sql is constructed using StringBuilder in the forms of "insert into table (column1, column2, column3) values (@param1-X, @param2-X, @parm3-X)"+" " where "X" represents a "for loop" about 700 rows StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); for(int i=0; i<700; i++) { sb.Append("insert into table (column1, column2, column3) values (@param1-"+i+", @param2-"+i, +",@parm3-"+i+") " ); } followed by constructing a command object injecting all the parameters w/ values into it. Essentially, 700 rows with 3 parameters, I ended up with 2100 parameters for this "one sql" Statement.   • GIT Exclude Specific Files when Pushing to Specific Repository

    Is it possible to exclude specific files (*.ai, *.psd) when pushing to certain repositories with GIT? My need comes from trying to use GIT for both version control and deployment to Heroku. If I include my graphic assets in the deploy, they slug size is larger than desired. However, I do need to include all project files in my main github repository. Thanks, Kevin

    I'm attempting to guess and prove the Big O for: f(n) = n^3 - 7n^2 + nlg(n) + 10 I guess that big O is n^3 as it is the term with the largest order of growth However, I'm having trouble proving it. My unsuccesful attempt follows: f(n) <= cg(n) f(n) <= n^3 - 7n^2 + nlg(n) + 10 <= cn^3 f(n) <= n^3 + (n^3)*lg(n) + 10n^3 <= cn^3 f(n) <= N^3(11 + lg(n)) <= cn^3 so 11 + lg(n) = c But this can't be right because c must be constant. What am I doing wrong?

  • Not receiving touchesEnded/Moved/Cancelled after adding subView

    Title more or less says it all. In response to a touchesBegan event, my UIViewController recolours itself and adds some subviews. It never receives the touchesEnded. I guess because the added subviews are somehow intercepting the event. I tried calling resignFirstResponder on the subviews to no avail. The code works fine when I don't add the child views and the touch events are called as normal. Any ideas? Thanks

As I think, it returns an autoreleased NSMutableArray. This method is called by another one: - (id) otherMethod { NSMutableArray *otherResult = [[[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithCapacity:[otherArray count]] autorelease]; // I add some stuff to otherResult and then... NSMutableArray *result = [dbUtils newOrderedArray:otherResult ByKey:@"objectId" ascending:NO]; return result; } This method (otherMethod) is called in some view controller where I want to store returned array and release it when deallocating the view controller. However, when [result retain] is called in this view controller (because I need it to be available and I can't allow it to be deallocated) I receive the following error: [CFArray release]: message sent to deallocated instance I've tried to log [result retainCount] just before calling retain and it print "1".     I am reading an audio file using CoreAudio (Extended Audio File Read Services). The audio data gets converted to 4-byte float and handed to me as a void* buffer. It can be played with Audio Queue Services, so its content is correct. Next, I want to draw a waveform and thus need access to the actual samples. So, I cast void* audioData to float*: Float32 *floatData = (Float32 *)audioData; When accessing this data however, I only get 0.0 regardless of the index. Float32 value = floatData[index]; // Is always zero for any index Am I doing something wrong with the cast?

  • Google Accounts

    Hi all, I need to setup a bunch of accounts (~50) with Google which will later be hooked up to Analytics and the Webmaster tools and I will access them via their APIs. The problem is that Google will stop me from making accounts at a certain point because it thinks I'm spamming it. I've tried bypassing the issue by proxying through Tor, but that didn't work (I suspect the Tor nodes are already abused and blacklisted). I also drove around town with my iPhone hopping towers trying to setup accounts. Also didn't work. Phone verification also doesn't work because my phone is already linked to too many accounts... So, I figure it's time to ask. How can I continue to setup Google accounts (NOT GMail...) without being considered a spammer? If there's a service from Google to whitelist my IP, even for a fee, I would be glad to sign up for it. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

  • How Do You Parse Column Data ?

    I am trying to parse a file generated by LGA Tracon that lists the position data for aircraft over a given time frame. The data of interest starts with TRACKING DATA and ends with SST and there are thousands of entries per file. The system generating the file, Common ARTS, is very rigid in its formatting and we can expect the column spacing to be consistent. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
