  • allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' error when publishing from VS2010 (but only after a previous

    I can run my Asp.Net MVC 2 application without an issue on my local computer. Just Run / Debug. But if I have already built it, I can't publish it! I have to clean the solution and publish it again. I know this is not system critical, but it's really annoying. "One Click Publish" is not "Clean solution and then One click publish" The exact error is as follows: Error 11 It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. I suspect it's something to do with the Web.Config in the Views folder, but then why only after I build once previously. And just to note, the app works fine once published.

A few I could think of are: empty string, empty delimiters, repeated delimiters, consecutive delimiters, string with only delimiters. However, the interviewer expected some more(better ones).   • Ruby switch like idiom

    Hey, I have recently started a project in Ruby on Rails. I used to do all my projects before in Python but decided to give Ruby a shot. In the projects I wrote in Python I used a nice little technique explained by the correct answer in this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/277965/dictionary-or-if-statements-jython I use this technique due to Python not having a native switch function and it also get rid of big if else blocks I have been trying to do recreate the above method in Ruby but can't seem to quite get it.     Today there was a question in the IIS.net Forums asking how to expose two different Internet sites from another site making them look like if they were subdirectories in the main site. So for example the goal was to have a site: www.site.com expose a www.site.com/company1  and a www.site.com/company2 and have the content from www.company1.com served for the first one and www.company2.com served in the second one.     I have two databases that are mirrored to another server using database mirroring. The mirror server has to be down for some reason for few days. Now the production server is having principal databases in (PRINCIPAL/DISCONNECTED) State. Clients can access those databases. So what happens when they keep on adding data to these databases?? Will the data get committed or waits till the mirror comes up?

  • Getting value from key pair value into appended property using jQuery

    How do I get the value from a key pair value into the rel property of an anchor tag? When I split the code to put the value in the correct place it doesn't work, the end of the a tag would appear on screen instead value wouldn't be applied. When I look at the resulting code in console in Firebug the rel and href swapped order so the rel is first. The 'key' should be and is in the correct location but the 'value' needs to be applied to the rel attribute.   • Unable to create more then one gadget in GateIn portal

    Repost from: Jboss GateIn Discussion. Please refer that post for screenshots. Here what happens when I try to create 2 gadgets: I press "Create a new gadget" Leave content as is and press "Save". As the result gadget gets name "CHANGME" and there is no way to change it. Press "Create a new gadget" and change title to "hello2 ...." Press "Save". New gadget replaces previous gadget in the left menu and gets the same name "CHANGME" with no way to change it Is this a bug or I am doing something wrong?

  • Python 3-compatibe HTML to text converter preserving basic structure under permissive licence?

    I am looking for a relatively simple HTML to text converter which displays links and works on strings. So far I have tried lynx but performance is too bad, html2text which gives weird and verbose markdown output and is under GPLv3 which is too restrictive for my (BSD-licensed) project, http://effbot.org/librarybook/formatter-example-3.py using htmllib.HTMLParser with formatter.AbstractFormatter and a custom writer, however htmllib.HTMLParser is drpeceated and has been removed from Python 3. So is there any simple, performant, Python 3-compatible HTML to text converter under a permissive license such as MIT/BSD/Apache and the like? Edit: I dont just need something to strip HTML-Tags but also to preserve the basic structure of the HTML, that is output that somewhat resembles that of Lynx.

    I want tp encrypt and decrypt string, with defined salt. But the result must be same if the code run in java and adobe flex. The main goal is: the app in adobe flex will be generate a string that can be decrypt in server using java. I use this flex library http://crypto.hurlant.com/demo/ Try to 'Secret Key' Tab.   • Why am I getting tree conflicts in subversion?

    I had a feature branch of my trunk and was merging changes from my trunk into my branch periodically and everything was working fine. Today I went to merge the branch back down into the trunk and any of the files that were added to my trunk after the creation of my branch were flagged as a "tree conflict". Is there any way to avoid this in the future? I don't think these are being properly flagged. Thanks.
