  • pushViewController Not Displaying UIView/Nib with tabbar and nav bar

    I'm relatively new to objective c but not programming and am stuck with my iphone app. I created a nav based app with both a navbar and a tab bar controller. I set the tab bar as the root controller. I'm able to switch between each tab without any issues to various UIViews and UITableViews. My issue is that in one of my UITableViews that I call from the TabBarController, didSelectRowAtIndexPath function is suppose to display a new UIView. The below code does not give any errors and runs fine but does not show the new Nib. if(newViewController == nil) { NSLog(@"yes nil"); BookViewController *aNewViewController = [[BookViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"BookOptionView" bundle:nil]; self.newViewController = aNewViewController; [aNewViewController release]; } BookAppDelegate *delegate = (BookAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; [delegate.appNavBar pushViewController:newViewController animated:YES]; Now when I do the below, it works fine but it gets rid of the nav and tab which I'm assuming because its a modal call instead of pushing the view controller.   • Why does Java Logging API create so many files?

    I am using java logging api to log errors in my exception. I am writing these errors to a log file. When i run my program i find a lot of files created.There are around 50 files created. Is there any mistake in my code or is it normal?   • How to detect touchEvent across multiple objects?

    In short: I need to find a way to implement swipe action (touchEvent) for my Calendar just like the default Android Calendar one. I am using GridView to make a calendar for my application. When I touch any date, I launch an activity to display details on that date. My problem is that now I tried to implement swipe to change month/year to display but I dont know a way to do it. I tried to use setOnTouchListener on GridView but it seems like detecting for each grid separately instead of the whole grid as one. Further problem would be that it overridden my onItemClick implementation as well.

  • when importing multiple javascript files the javascript seems to break

  • Can we execute methods / code in XCcode just like in Visual Studio?

    Visual Studio is one of the best developer IDE of all times, and now was improved with multithreading debugging and much more. My question is regarding Xcode and the ability to execute code just like we do in Visual Studio. Let's assume an object in a view and I want to run, let's say: [pickerView setHidden:YES]; in a breakpoint just to see if in that break point I could actually hide the object. I can't find any place for this in the XCode Debugger Am I missing something or I can't execute code that is not in the files already? like in Visual Studio Watch List or Immediate Window

  • having problems in running my java program..

    I'm a beginner in java so this question might seem a little stupid, my jdk and jre are installed in C:\program files, I write my program and save it in in my folder G:\start, now my program compiles without any error(the .class file is also generated), but when i run my program it says "unable to locate G:\lib\amd64\jvm.cfg", so i copy the 'lib' folder from my jdk folder and paste it in G:, again program compiles without any error, but when i run it,it gives my a new error saying "unable to locate G:\bin\server\jvm.dll",so i copy the 'bin' folder to g:, but now when i run, it gives me the same error again "unable to locate G:\bin\server\jvm.dll",where am I going wrong?

    Can someone please help me with this preg_match if (preg_match('~[^A-Za-z0-9_\./\]~', $filepath)) // Show Error message. I need to match a possible filepath. So I need to check for double slashes, etc. Valid file path strings should look like this only: mydir/aFile.php or mydir/another_dir/anyfile.js So a slash at the beginning of this string should be checked also.   • help on developing enterprise level software solutions

    there is a specific niche which I would like to target by providing a complete enterprise level software solution.... the problem is, where do i begin ? meaning, i come from writing just desktop software on VB/ASP .net/PHP/mysql and suddenly unfamiliar terms popup like Oracle, SAP Business Information Warehouse, J2EE.... obviously, something is pointing towards Java, is it common for software suites, or solutions to be developed 100% on Java technology and standards? Are there any other platform to build enterprise level software on ? i am still lacking understanding what exactly is "Enterprise level" ? what is sufficient condition to call a software that sells for $199 and then suddenly it's $19,999 for "enterprise" package. I dont understand why there is such a huge discrepancy between "standard" and "enterprise" versions of software. Is it just attempting to bag large corporations on a spending spree ? so why does one choose to develop so called "enterprise" softwares ? is it because of the large inflated price tag you can justify with ? i would also like some more enterpreneural resources on starting your own enterprise software company in a niche....     Hi, I have a WCF service with three methods. Two of the methods return custom types (these work as expected), and the third method takes a custom type as a parameter and returns a boolean. When calling the third method via a PHP soap client it returns an 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' exception.   • Help me choose between XML or SQL Lite on android

    I have an android app that periodically, say once a week downloads content from a server in XML. The content is used by the app, different Acitivities use different parts of the content. My question is a design one, should I save the data in SQlite or just keep it as an XML file, which one would be faster to read? The app can only use one content piece at a time, which means subsequent XML content downloads replace the old one.

  • Zyxel p-2602HW-1DA - LAN to WAN routing problems

    Hi Got a new router yesterday (due to new internet supplier) and now all my requests for my own server (local lan) is routed directly to the router instead of the server, when using dns. Ex. I have a website www.mysite.org running on my server at home (local lan). From work I can access it via www.mysite.org, which is great. But from home (local lan) my request's for www.mysite.org gets rerouted to the routers web admin interface My last router didn't do this. My new router is a Zyxel P-2602HW-1DA, my old one was a LinkSys WRT-54GC V. 2.0. There's a rather wierd WAN-LAN, WAN-WAN setup interface which I cant really comprehend yet and the docs are rather vague. Have anyone had the same problem and can anyone guide me to a solution, would nice not write the ip address everytime i need to access the server on local lan. :). Kind regards Garrett

    TLDR When clicking on a link I want to assign a cookie with a name of instrument and a value of the text on the link clicked. Using Jquery.1.4.2.min.js, Jquery.cookie.1.0.js I am trying to create a cookie when a link is clicked (will always link to "page.html"). name of instrument value of the TEXT So far I am trying to use: Link1: <a href="page.html">link1</a> Link2: <a href="page.html">link2</a> Script: $('a[href=page.html]').click(function() { var name = 'instrument'; var value = $(this).text(); $.cookie(name, value, { expires: 365 }); }); When I click the link it just loads the link and no cookie is set. Debugging with firebug, firecookie, firequery. No cookie for instrument or anything along the lines is found. Onload I'll hit the "<a href="page.html">projects</a>" but not the "$.cookie(name, value, { expires: 365 });" at all.
