    I have Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) installed with 2 monitors. Main: a 24 inch Dell monitor that Mac OS X detects and displays on 1920x1200 Secondary: a 19 inch Chimei monitor that supports resolution 1440x900 but Mac OS X detects it as 1344x1008. How can I force a 1400x900 resolution on my secondary monitor?

  • How do I Parse the response I get back from CURL?

    I'm sending some data to an external URL using Curl. The server sends me back a response in a string like this: trnApproved=0&trnId=10000002&messageId=7&messageText=DECLINE I can assign this string to a variable like this: $txResult = curl_exec( $ch ); echo "Result:<BR>"; echo $txResult; But how do I use the data that is sent back? I need a way to get the value of each variable sent back so that I can use it in my PHP script. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  • Prevent backslash from being parsed by javascript for a string

    A Flash AS3 IRC application sends me a string like "f\reak" to my javascript. Irc allows the \ in usernames which poses a problem when its passed to javascript. "f\reak" become "feak" in javascript making the \r into a carriage return. Is there a way to read the absolute value of the string instead of parsing a carriage return? These don't methods didn't work str.valueOf() str.toString() str.charAt(position of the \ ) this just sees the carriage return as well and not a backslash

  • I've got to update a column in one SQL table with a counter stored in another table, and update that

    I'm using SQL server 2005 (for testing) & 2007 (for production). I have to add a unique record ID to all the records in my table, in an existing column, using a "last record ID" column from another table. So, I'm going to do some sort of UPDATE of my table, but I have to get the "last record ID" from the other table, increment it, update THAT table and then update my record. Can anyone give me an example of how to do this? Other users may be incrementing the counter also.

    I have a website using ASP with an MS Access DB back-end for storing mainly blog posts. My company has a very long software approval process so I am stuck with what I have (i.e. I must use Access). I use server-side javascript to retrieve posts stored in the database using OLEDB calls. Everything works fine except that I cannot read any tables from the database when it is open in the MS Access program. The page displays an error message about the file being in use. This could lead to significant downtime while I am doing any work within Access. How can I make the file readable by my ASP application while it is open in Access?

However my OS file system has a limit on the number of sub directories, meaning storing the original folder structure is not going to work. Suggestions? Map the URL to some filename so can store flatly? Or just shove it in a database like sqlite to avoid file system limitations?

    Yesterday I submitted an app to the iphone dev center, no problems at all. Today I did some changes to another existing app and was greeted by the following message when I uploaded my binary: The binary you uploaded was invalid. A pre-release beta version of the SDK was used to build the application. I googled the message and didn't find anything at all. I also tried but failed to update another app, same message there. I have not changed anything in between (that I know) and I have certainly not installed or downgraded my SDK. Building for iPhone 3.0..

    Hi, I am required to install two security certifcates on user's PC's to allow them to connect to a certain Australian Government website to perform searchs. I can perform this manually (via Certifcate Import Wizard) when the user has logged into the machine, however when a different user logs in, the certifcates need to be re-installed for that user as well. Q1. Can certifcates ( the file extension is .p12) be installed in such a way that any user using the PC can use the certifcates? Q2.   • Winsock Connect Problem with Eset Nod32

    Dear All, my socket library which is implemented using winsock2 is working properly. But when ESET Nod32 installed on the computer, connect() function returns 0(zero) ,that is success, even if remote host is not available. I looked with netstat -b command and saw that ekrn.exe is accepting the client. And after couple of seconds it sends zero byte of information,which means graceful close. (all of the IP addresses were altered. none actually start with 192, I didn't figure the search engines mattered though.)
