    One consequence of the keyboard-restriction change is that pressing ESC will not exit full-screen mode in trusted applications. This enables you to use the ESC key for other functionality. However, you must provide your own user interface for exiting full-screen mode.   • Determine if a subview is visible in a UIScrollView

    Hi all, I've added a view to my app, that contains a UIScrollView, with a number of UITextViews in it's content view. This works perfectly on OS 3.0 and up, but when I test it on my 2.2.1 iPod touch, there is a UITextView bug that stops any text views automatically updating their content when they are scrolled into view - so you have to send them the setNeedsDisplay message. However, I only want to do this when they start to become visible during the scroll - how do I determine, in the UIScrollView's scrollViewDidScroll delegate method, whether a UITextView is visible in the UIScrollView's frame?     hi, AFAIK, string literals are stored in read only memory in case of C language. where is this actually present on the hardware. as per my knowledge heap is on RAM.correct me if i am wrong. how different is heap from read only memory? is it OS dependant?

  • Flash AS3 and XML: way to fix line breaks in htmlText that uses <b> tags in the xml?

    I'm importing text in from an xml file and i'm using htmlText to try to keep some styling with tags. I have both the regular and bold face font embedded, and the bolding works fine. The problem is that it ads spaces around the words in bold like a paragraph indent and then makes a line-break after them. What's going on, is there a way to fix? fromxmlText.htmlText = theXML.contenttext; If I pull the text in from a txt file it will work fine, but taking it out of an xml file causing funky formatting. lil' help?

  • Optimal Configuration for five 300 GB 15K SAS Drives

    I recently acquired an HP Z800 workstation that has five 300 GB 15K SAS Drives. This system will be dedicated to running multiple virtual machines under VMware Workstation (Note: I'm not using ESXi because I do plan to use the system for other purposes.). For the host OS, I plan to install RHEL 5. My number one concern is guest performance. For example, should I create a RAID 10 array for the OS and virtual machine storage with four of the drives and reserve the 5th? Or, is there a solution that will provide better performance?

  • How to make a increasing numbers after filenames in C?

    Hi, I have a little problem. I need to do some little operations on quite many files in one little program. So far I have decided to operate them in a single loop where I just change the number after the name. The files are all named TFxx.txt where xx is increasing number from 1 to 80. So how can I open them all in a single loop one after one? I have tried this: for(i=0; i<=80; i++) { char name[8] = "TF"+i+".txt"; FILE = open(name, r); /* Do something */ } As you can see the second line would be working in python but not in C. I have tried to do similiar running numbering with C to this program, but I haven't found out yet how to do that. The format doesn't need to be as it is on the second line, but I'd like to have some advice of how can I solve this problem. All I need to do is just be able to open many files and do same operations to them.

  • Reading Character from Image

    I am working on an application which requires matching of numbers from a scanned image file to database entry and update the database with the match result. Say I have image- employee1.jpg. This image will have two two handwritten entries - Employee number and the amount to be paid to the employee. I have to read the employee number from the image and query the database for the that number, update the employee with the amount to be paid as got from the image. Both the employee number and amount to be paid are written inside two boxes at a specified place on the image. Is there any way to automate this. Basically I want a solution in .net using c#. I know this can be done using artificial neural networks. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
