  • Rsync and Lazy mode ?

    Since transferring or copying a file that is being used sometimes causes corruption of the transferred file, can we define a time interval in which Rsync checks each file in a given directory to see if there is a change within that time interval ? Files that are not changed during that interval will be transferred, while those that have changes will not. Can I do that with rsync ? Or another tool ? Is there a script to add this functionality to Rsync ? Thanks

  • IIS 7 - 403 Access Denied error on wwwroot

    Hi, I'm trying to setup a redirect from http://mail.mydomain.com to https://mail.mydomain.com/owa. I've been unsuccessful in doing this by using IIS's HTTP Redirect so I looked to other options. The one I settled on is to create a default document in the wwwroot folder to handle the redirect. I created a file called index.aspx (and added index.aspx to the list of default documents) and put the following code in it: <script runat="server"> private void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e) { Response.Status = "301 Moved Permanently"; Response.AddHeader("Location","https://mail.mydomain.com/owa"); } </script> Instead of getting a redirect I get: 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. I've been trying to find an answer to this but have been unsuccessful so far. One thing I did try was to add the Everyone group to wwwroot with read access. No change. The AppPool for Default Web Site is DefaultAppPool and the Identity is ApplicationPoolIdentity. (I don't know what these things are but maybe knowing this will help you.) Thanks!

  • Clean URLS with mod rewrite and URL Encoded characters causes 404?

    I have a web site using mod_rewrite to get some clean urls and custom 404 pages. My .htaccess file looks like this: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?clean_url=$1 [QSA,L] </IfModule> What puzzles me is that if the URL contains a %2F (url-encoded /) the server seems to force a 404. As an example, http://example.com/category/article would be a normal article, but then http://example.com/category%2farticle gives a server-generated 404 page. (not the custom 404 page) I wouldn't have expected this... why this is happening? Is there a way around it?

  • Make a c# / wpf event fire only once?

    I have a case where I want a given event to execute once, and only once. I'm trying to do it this way, but I'm having prolems (else I wouldn't be asking). Note that the following code is inside the function that decides that the event needs to be fired. EventHandler h = delegate(Object sender, EventArgs e) { FiringControl.TheEvent -= h; // <-- Error, use of unassigned local variable "h" // Do stuff } FiringControl.TheEvent += h; In general this should work because of the way scope is preserved for delegates until after they're done running, but, since h is in the process of being built when I try to use it it is still considered to be "uninitialized", apparently.

    I've few questions on Android Framework. Can someone please answer them i) What does an Android Framework do? What is it's job? ii) What are these managers - Activity Manager, Location Manager etc? Are they APIs or libraries? iii) I heard that the definition of a framework is - a set of libraries that say “Don’t call us, we’ll call you.” So can I say that Activity Manager, Location Manager etc are such libraries? Or is it that they are not libraries but APIs (used to access underlying c/c++ libraries) and the actual libraries that do "Don't call us, we'll call you." are hidden from us?

  • ActionScript display zero value

    It seems the number Datatype handles zeros and nulls the same. I need to display a zero value on the screen, but AS displays nothing. When it's saved, the value is saved as a zero, and therefore shows up zero on the screen. Is there a way to display the zero value using a new object? public class myObject{ private var numVar:Number } My AS file: var temp:MyObject temp.numVar = 0; When I debug, temp.numVar contains a value of 0, but does not show anything on the UI. If this object is then saved to the DB, and then displayed to the UI, it shows a 0. My question is - how do I get temp.numVar to display 0 before persistenting it to the DB?

Which reference sources do you think are more likely to be universally understood? For example when findbugs sees that you've implemented equals() without overriding hashCode() it suggest that you implement it by returning 42 (a reference from HHGTTG) Or why we have big endian vs little endian encoding, referencing Gulliver's Travels Not that we should act unprofessionally with our code, but if you going to tell a person that they could only (watch/read/...) one (book/movie/show/...) which one would allow them to 'get' the most jokes?

    I am using Selenium RC and the PHPUnit Selenium Extension. I am trying to assert that a table row exists, with the content that I expect, while making it flexible enough to be reused. Thanks to this article, I figured out a way to select the table row, asserting that it contains all the text that I expect. $this->assertElementPresent("css=tr:contains(\"$text1\"):contains(\"$text2\")"); But now I would like to assert that a specific radio button appears in the table row also. Here's the element that I would like to assert that is within the table row. (I am currently asserting that it exists using XPath. I'm sure I could do the same using CSS). $this->assertElementPresent("//input[@type='radio'][@name='Contact_ID'][@value='$contactId']"); Currently I have a function that can assert that a table row exists which contains any number of texts, but I would like to add the ability to specify any number of elements and have it assert that the table row contains them.   • how to bind/connect multiple UDP socket

    My initial UDP socket is binded to 127.0.0.1:9898. The first time that I get notified of incoming data by epoll/kqueue, I do recvfrom() and I fill a struct sockaddr called peer_name that contain the peer informations (ip:port). Then I create a new UPD socket using socket(), then I bind() this newly created socket to the same ip:port (127.0.0.1:9898) than my original socket. then I connect my newly created socket using connect() to the peer who just sent me something. I have the information in the struct sockaddr called peer_name. I then add my newly created socket in my epoll/kqueue vector and wait for notification. I would expect to ONLY receive UDP frame from the peer i'm ""connected to"". 1/ does netstat -a -p udp is suppose to show me the IP:PORT of the peer my newly created socket is ""connected to"" ? 2/ I'm probably doing something wrong since after creating my new socket, this socket receive all incoming UDP packets destinated to the IP:PORT I'm binded to, regardless of the source peer IP:PORT. I would like to see a working example of what I'm trying to do :) or any hint on what I'm doing wrong. thanks!

I'm hoping I screwed something that's easy to fix in the setup. Have each item expire after 5 seconds for testing purposes. Basic setup -- "every second pick a number between 0 and 2. if the cache doesn't already have it, put it in there -- otherwise just grab it from the cache. Do this inside a LOCK statement to ensure thread safety.     I am using SQLite as my db during development, and I want to postpone actually creating a final database until my domains are fully mapped.     Hello, all the email addresses in my organization are in the format [email protected]. this was started when we were a small organization. Now we have grown and need to use something a bit more professional like [email protected] how can this change be implemented with minimal disruption? We currently only use smarteremail. Could recieving ONLY with the old and replying with the new be a solution..till we wean our recipients off the old email address? Any suggestions are welcome. How will moving to exchange help in this instance? Can it be configured to automatically send out using a different address? Thanks

  • Get folders from my msn account onto outlook

    I have my msn email account setup with a bunch of folders to put all my different emails in. I don't use rules, just drag and drop sort. On my current computer, I have it go to outlook, and all the folders pop up fine. But I set that up 4 years ago, and now I'm setting up a new laptop and have no idea how to get it going again. Any ideas?
