    Hi, iam using facebook connect in my site, and i want to know how do i use the graph api for authenticating the user. I followed these steps: 1) Initially i sent a request for "code", by clicking on the facebook icon in my site: https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize? client_id=xxx&redirect_uri=http://xxxxxxxx 2) And then after getting a code, i sent a request for "access token", by clicking on another link in my site: https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/access_token? client_id=xxx&redirect_uri=http://xxxxxxx&client_secret=xxxx&code=xxxxx 3) And after i got the token, i sent another request for getting user data, by clicking on yet another link: https://graph.facebook.com/me?access_token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Then finally i got the user data in array format, which i need to parse for my required data like user's firstname, email, etc. Now my question is that how i can automate this process with just one click ?   • XSLT Similar functionality to SQL "WHERE LIKE"

    I have the following XML <Answer> <Label>FCVCMileage</Label> <Value>3258</Value> <Iteration>0</Iteration> <DataType>NUMBER</DataType> </Answer> And need to get the Value underneath the Mileage label. However the 4 letter prefix to Mileage could be any 1 of 8 different prefixes. I know I could find the value by testing for every combination using xsl:if or xsl:choose but is there a more elegant way that would work similar to the following SQL and also wouldn't need changes to code being made if other prefixes were added. WHERE label LIKE '%Mileage' NB. There will only ever be 1 label element containing the word Mileage Cheers!

  • Try all available WSDL IPs with JAX-WS

    I'm using JAX-WS to open a service port. When the DNS exposes two IPs for the DNS entry (of the WSDL), the Service tries to use only the first - resulting in a "Failed to access the WSDL at: http://some.url.com/someDocument?wsdl. It failed with: Connection refused: connect" exception. I've found an issue filed against JAX-WS, but with no resolution. this is the comment that describes my problem best. The code is just a one-liner: Service service = Service.create("http://some.url.com/someDocument?wsdl", engineQName); the smarts is exposing those two A records on http://some.url.com/ at the DNS.   • Pass object from JSON into MVC Controller - its always null ?

    Hi I have seen a few questions on here related to the a similar issue, I have read them, followed them, but still i have the same problem. I am basically creating an object in javascript and trying to call a method on the controller that will return a string of html. Not JSON. I've been playing around with dataType and contentType but still no joy. So apologies if the code snippets are a bit messy.   • How to connect to local database via website?

    Hi I have a website used by clients for reporting purposes and would like to give clients the option of my website reading their local database directly (instead of them providing data in a file format). In most instances their database would be SQL Express setup on their localhost. How can I connect to a clients local SQL server via my website, using asp.net / javascript etc? If the client provides their connection string properties, localhost would just refer to my server's localhost... Thanks

  • Using custom FaultContract object causes 'Add Service Reference' to fail

    Hey, I just noticed something particular. I have an internal stock service which is published through basicHttpBinding, and a customBinding (http+binary) for which metadata is enabled. I also included a mex endpoint for http. We use Visual Studio 2008 & VB.NET Just recently we noticed that we were unable to succesfully add a service reference to this service in our other projects. All that it would generate was the first custom exception we included through a FaultContract (actually, there was only 1 type). if I'd add a simple web reference it would work correctly as well. Also, the WcfClient.exe had no problems either in loading the services. Just VS.NET add service reference wouldn't work. In the service this exception inherits from Exception and is marked as serializable. That's all you're supposed to do, no? Anyway, this had me baffled. If I remove the FaultContract for this custom exception everything works fine. I can add a service reference, no problem. But is there a way I can still have my custom exceptions? Is this a known problem? Thx!

    I have two WCF services hosted in a single Windows Service on a Windows Server 2003 machine. If the Windows service needs to access either of the WCF services (like when a timed event occurs), it uses one of the five named pipe endpoints exposed (different service contracts).   • while I scroll between the layout it takes too long to be able to scroll between the gallerie's pictures. Is there any way to reduce this time?

    Hello, this is my first question here, though I've being reading this forum for quite a while. Most of the answers to my doubts are from here :) Getting back on topic. I'm developing an Android application. I'm drawing a dynamic layout that are basically Galleries, inside a LinearLayout, inside a ScrollView, inside a RelativeLayout. The ScrollView is a must, because I'm drawing a dynamic amount of galleries that most probably will not fit on the screen. When I scroll inside the layout, I have to wait 3/4 seconds until the ScrollView "deactivates" to be able to scroll inside the galleries. What I want to do is to reduce this time to a minimum. Preferably I would like to be able to scroll inside the galleries as soon as I lift my finger from the screen, though anything lower than 2 seconds would be great as well. I've being googling around for a solution but all I could find until now where layout tutorials that didn't tackle this particular issue. I was hoping someone here knows if this is possible and if so to give me some hints on how to do so. I would prefer not to do my own ScrollView to solve this. The scroller is not locking up. But sometimes, when it stops scrolling, it takes a few seconds (2/3) to disable itself. I just want it to be a little more dynamic, is there any way to override the listener and make it stop scrolling ON_ACTION_UP or something like that? I don't want to use the listview because I want to have each gallery separated by other views, now I just have text, but I will probably separate them with images with a different size than the galleries. I'm not really sure if this is possible with a listadapter and a listview, I assumed that a view can only handle only one type of object, so I'm using a scrollview of a layout, if I'm wrong please correct me :) Also this activity works as a preview or selecting the pictures you want to view in full size and manage their values. So its working only with thumbnails. Each one weights 40 kb. Guessing that is very unlikely that a user gets more than 1000~1500 pictures in this view, i thought that the activity wouldn't use more than 40~50 mb of ram in this case, adding 10 more if I open the fullsized view. So I guessed as well most devices are able to display this view in full size. If it doesn't work on low-end devices my plan was to add an option in the app preferences to let user chop this view according to some database values. And a last reason is that during most of this activity "life-cycle" (the app has pics that are relevant to the view, when it ends the value that selects which pictures are displayed has to change and no more pictures are added inside this instance of this activity); the view will be unpopulated, so most of the time showing everything wont cost much, just at the end of its cycle That was more or less what I thought at the time i created this layout. I'm open to any sort of suggestion or opinion, I just created this layout a few days ago and I'm trying to see if it can work right, because it suits my app needs.   • Flex vs GWT again

    Hi all, I am working on a customized web ontology editor (something like http://webprotege.stanford.edu/ which is built by GWT). My backend will be Java+Spring+Hibernate and domain models are in Java. My frontend will be something like WebProtege which requires extensive RPC call. It is quite clear that I should use GWT as I can refer to the open source code. However, due to company policy, I shall consider Flex as well. I understand Flex can remotely invoke Java backend methods via BlazeDS using AMF (Is there a Flex equivalent of GWT-RPC?). I have read discussion on GWT vs Flex vs ?. If I can make full decision sure I will go with GWT. GWT strengths like support right to left characters, support iPhone/iPad, smaller size, support JSON out of the box, support printing are not important considerations for my project. Besides GWT supports Java generic, enum; domain objects can be shared with both GWT client and server; coding are more seamlessly... anyone can suggest other strong reasons that I should only go with GWT? FYI, I have plenty of Java experience but both GWT and Flex are new to me. Thanks.

  • How do you access usermin

    I have recently setup a web server with webmin, virtualmin and usermin on CentOS to host some websites and email, however I am unable to access usermin. I can access webmin from www.foobar.com:10000 but I can't access usermin from www.foobar.com:20000 This thread seems to have dealt within the same issue, however when I tried the command "telnet localhost 20000" it came back with a connection refused message. Any idea how to get this running. I'll let you know in advance that I am a linux newbie and this is a large learning experience, so don't rule out anything if you are thinking "oh, but he wouldn't be dumb enough to forget that" or the like

However, there's an odd amount of SSH related processes currently running. I figured dave's sftp session might not show up in the output of w for whatever reason but that doesn't explain all the running processes... What's wrong? :/

  • How to recover basic networking utilities on Debian?

    I am administrating a small server for LAN, providing basic services such as web-proxy, ldap, kerberos, afs, etc. Yesterday there was a power cut so server halted. When I restarted it no network interfaces were available and configured. I tried restarting networking daemon but it just exited with 0 status. So I tried to run one of the interfaces manually, but ifup and ifdown commands simply are not there. No only in PATH, but they disappeared from /sbin. So my question is: how can I recover these network utilities?

  • File downloaded from IIS6/Win2003 server to a Mac (and not PCs) is incredibly slow

    We have a test zip file on our customers server that we host for him that when downloading to a Mac is incredibly slow. On a Mac - trying the download via Safari 5.0.3 and Chrome 8.0.552.231 results in a quick burst of normal download speed then plummets to almost no speed at all after 1 or 2 meg (between 1 and 5 Kb/s - yes, KiloBITS per second! According to the network monitor). Downloading via Windows was fine and speedy. Tested via; IE7 7.0.5730.13 and Chrome Portable 8.0.552.224 On Windows XP Pro, and; IE8 8.0.7600.16385 in a Windows 7 virtual machine running via VirtualBox 4.0.0 r69151 on the same Mac mention above Google hasn't helped us out on this occasion, possibly because the search terms I'm having to use are quite generic. Has anybody ever experienced this and if so how do we fix it? Thanks in advance

  • Avoiding spam filters on my CentOS 5.5 64bit server?

    I run a social network on my web server, with about 15,000 members right now. My administration section let's me Mass Email all my users. Currently it uses the built in PHP mail function. What is the best way to congfigure my server to bypass spam? Can I install anything on the server? Or should I just make the social network use SMTP? The admin panel lets me choose SMTP or built-in mail function. I'm not to familiar with mailing from servers, as I usually use Aweber for my mailing, but I cannot use Aweber for this as they will not let me just import 15,000 emails. Let me know, thanks.

    Is there any limitation to the proxy authentication support of rhn_register? The proxy of the network I'm on sends the follow 407: HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required ( The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy filter is denied. ) Via: 1.1 VANESSA Proxy-Authenticate: Negotiate Proxy-Authenticate: Kerberos Proxy-Authenticate: NTLM It seems that rhn_register is not able to any of the authentication schemes above. Any advise?

  • Cloned Win7: Keyboard doesn't work

    I cloned my old Windows7 hard disk to a shiny new Seagate Momentus XT 500GB using the free EaseUs Disk Copy tool on my laptop. After the clone process I used the Windows 7 installation disc to start the automatic startup repair. This took maybe 15 minutes and then my cloned disk was able to start. Now the cloned disk boots until the login screen and then I can't do anything because my keyboard just doesn't work. I tried connecting an external USB keyboard but this didn't help. The mouse is working fine. Note that the keyboard works fine in BIOS and in the Windows startup options menu. I booted into safe mode and again the keyboard is not working at all. I also noticed that the letters "Press CTRL+ALT+Delete to login" are now shown in italic font but they used to be shown non-italic on the original disk. I have now replaced the clone with the original disk again and from here everything works fine. Doesn't anybody have an idea how I can get my keyboard back?

  • No option to connect to wireless network

    I don't have any option to connect to wireless. It just doesn't appear in the taskbar at all - even the no wireless networks were found doesn't appear. In network connections, I only have the option of using a wired connection. According to device manager, I have a working VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter (this device only appeared after I selected showing hidden devices). I have already attempted restarting the computer a few times. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Importing CSV files into Excel using a macro

    I'm want to develop a macro where in my excel worksheet I type a date in a specific cell, and the macro will go into a folder containing text files. A database you could say. I want it to find the corresponding file name which is written as a date, put the data through a delimeter, and paste into the cells directly below where I orginally put the date. I'm very new with Macro's so if you must answer try to be a little more simple than you might usually be. Thanks In Advance if anyone can Help!! Update The folder will always be in the same place and the text files will all be formatted DD_MM_YYYY.
