  • DirectShow Filter Graph Editor doesn't show remote graphs

    I have a problem with connecting to remote graph from DirectShow Filter Graph Editor. When I run application that creates a direct show graph, on my Windows XP machine graph is shown in the list of remote graphs, but on the Windows 7 (x64) machine list of remote graphs is empty. I have registered proppage.dll and also registered directshowspy.dll ... but still no results. Any ideas?

  • problems with UTF-8 encoding in PHP

    Hi guys, The characters I am getting from the URL, for example www.mydomain.com/?name=john , were fine, as longs as they were not in Russian. If they were are in Russian, I was getting '????'. So I added $name= iconv("cp1251","utf-8" ,$name); and now it works fine for Russian and English characters, but screws up other languages. :))) For example 'Janis' ( Latvian ) that worked fine before iconv, now turns into 'j??nis'. Any idea if there's some universal encoder that would work with both the Cyrillic languages and not screw up other languages?

    Hi, I have text in Turkish language: "selam günaydin". Doctrine searchable converts it to keywords in table: -selam -guenaydin So "guenaydin" was saved in table as keyword "günaydin" so when somebody writes in search "günaydin" he gets nothing - what can I do?

  • php mysql search in 2 columns in 2 tables.

    Hey, I have two tables in one DB, one called Cottages and one called Hotels. In both tables they have the same named fields. I basically have a search bar that i want it to search in both of the fields in both of the tables. (the two fields being called "Name" and "Location" SO far I have $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM Cottages WHERE Name LIKE '%$term%' or Location LIKE '%$term%' LIMIT 0, 30"); But this only searches the Cottages table, how can I make it search both the cottages and hotel tables?     Solved while writing this question, but posting in case it helps anyone: I'm setting multiple alarms like this, with different values of id: AlarmManager alarms = (AlarmManager)context.getSystemService( Context.ALARM_SERVICE); Intent i = new Intent(MyReceiver.ACTION_ALARM); // "com.example.ALARM" i.putExtra(MyReceiver.EXTRA_ID, id); // "com.example.ID", 2 PendingIntent p = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(context, 0, i, 0); alarms.setRepeating(AlarmManager.RTC_WAKEUP, nextMillis, 300000, p); // 5 mins ...and receiving them like this: public void onReceive(Context context, Intent intent) { if (intent.getAction().equals(ACTION_ALARM)) { // It's time to sound/show an alarm final long id = intent.getLongExtra(EXTRA_ID, -1); The alarm is delivered to my receiver at the right times, but often with EXTRA_ID set to the wrong value: it's a value that I have used at some point, just not the one that I wanted delivered at that particular time.

  • setting rpmforge repository for Linux (RHEL)

    Hello, I had a Linux centos(5.5) machine, on this i had deployed amavisd (with clamav and spamassassin). Referred these: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Amavisd http://wiki.centos.org/PackageManagement/Yum/Priorities Now I have a linux RHEL machine, details are as follows: (Linux version 2.6.18-164.6.1.el5 ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-46)) x86_64 GNU/Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga)) I want to set up the above mentioned software's on this(RHEL) machine, for that I do (as per the reference link): install yum-priorities but i am unable to install this on my said machine, because the default yum repository provided by RHEL doesn't contain this. How can i deploy the above software's on my RHEL machine, suggest any safe alternate. Please guide since i am a newbie in this matter. thanks in advance Ashish Sharma

  • SUSE Linux and Xen on Mac Pro - How best to prepare and configure?

    This is a longwinded question, so bear with me please. I have a 2009 Mac Pro with two CPUs and 8 GB of memory which is totally overpowered for Mac OS X. I am also in the process of slowly moving away from Mac OS X as my main platform. Since the Mac Pro is really new and nice I have finally decided to use it for another platform. I am familiar with Linux and SUSE Linux. Ultimately I want to run some version of SUSE Linux (recommend one, doesn't have to be free as in no money) and Xen. Here are the individual questions: Which version of SUSE Linux should I use and how do I install it on a Mac Pro? Note that the distribution must come with usable Xen. I am willing to pay. I assume Xen will work on my computer (it has VT support etc.). Is my assumption correct? I want to run Windows 7 and another instance of SUSE Linux under Xen. Is it possible to run Mac OS X Server under Xen (on a Mac Pro)? Which email client under Linux supports imap is is best-suited for integrating with MobileMe? Does SUSE Linux support the ATI Radeon HD 4870 and the Apple Cinema Display 1920 x 1200 resolution? What else should I take into account?

  • Ubunt doesn't mount one of my NTFS disks

    There is a mountable /dev/sda NTFS formatted (Windows disk) There is no /dev/sdb when I ls /dev (NTFS Data disk) There is a /dev/sdc which is another disk of the same model, (Ubuntu disk) I can see that Ubuntu detected this unmountable disk in the Disk Utility It states incorrectly it is unpartioned and a RAID volume. (it previously was RAID0 setup with /dev/sdc but now it is a simple volume, no RAID whatsoever) When I boot Windows 7, it uses this unmountable disk without a glitch The problem happens in both IDE and AHCI modes Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx

  • How can I move app.config to a different folder inside the Solution Explorer?

    I'm using Visual Studio 2010. In my Solution Explorer I like to sort my Project items into folders (a folder for Forms, a folder for Classes, a Misc folder, etc.) It seems though that if I move the "app.config" file to a folder named "Config Files" everything works until I change a setting in the Settings.settings file. Once I do that, a new app.config is created and the one that was in the "Config Files" folder did not get updated. I have searched the entire solution for the text "app.config" and did not find any results. How can I move this file so that my Solution Explorer looks nice and clean?

  • Axis Rotation Question using sio2 game engine

    By using left hand rule, I rotate one object left and right using x axis, and rotate up/down using y axis. After first object is rotated to the right, the up/down rotation should be using z axis. However, when I try to rotate using z axis, after the first rotation, it has the same effect when I rotate using y axis. Anyone has any ideas? Thanks

  • Menu items messed up while using MacVim with Vim Latex

    I just installed macvim yesterday and I have been trying to install vim latex today. The one thing I am confused about is the menu items on the top bar: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <apple icon> File Edit Tools Syntax TeX-Suite TeX-Environments TeX-Elements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Packages > |_____ | Templates > | 1: | | Macros > | 2: | |----------- | 3: | | Compile | 4: | | View |----- | ... | ------------- So in words if you go TeX-Suite -> Templates there is a sub menu with menu items: 1: 2: 3: 4:. Now I know that these templates live here: % pwd /Users/me/.vim/ftplugin/latex-suite/templates % ls IEEEtran.tex article.tex report.tex report_two_column.tex and they are named correctly. Also I know that the :TTemplate vim command should do the same thing. When I type that I get this result: Choose a template file: (1) IEEEtran (2) article (3) report (4) report_two_column Enter number or name of file : So I am thinking that this must be a bug in MacVim. Is this a reasonable assumption? Any fixes?

    Hi guys :) Css "over" selector applys a temporary style to an element, it isn't definitive: div:hover { background-color: red; } I can use the same thing with javascript but it is a bit complicate and impossible for several elements: var elem = document.getElementByTagName ("div")[0]; elem.onmouseover = function () { this.style.backgroundColor = "red"; } elem.onmouseout = function () { this.style.backgroundColor = "transparent"; } There is a better way ?   • Rails 3: config/initializers errors for gem configuration

    I'm trying to setup this plugin (Crumble), and the docs say I need to add a configuration file for the plugin in config/initializers/ like this (breadcrumb.rb): Breadcrumb.configure do ... end I add in my directives in that block, and reloaded the page, and I'm immediately greeted with a Passenger error: uninitialized constant Breadcrumb What am I missing here? gem list shows Crumble as installed, and if I launch IRB I can require 'crumble' successfully. I remember doing this just fine in Rails 2.3.5. Here's my setup: rails 3.0.0.beta3 ruby 1.9.1p378 (via RVM) passenger 2.2.11 (with Apache2) crumble 0.1.2 I've been trying to read the Rails 3 release notes to see if they've changed anything that would affect this, but so far I haven't found anything to suggest that the above shouldn't work. I'd appreciate any guidance you could spare me!

    I am a new to db4o. I have a big problem with persistance of a graph of objects. I am trying to migrate from old persistance component to new, using db4o. Before I peristed all objects its graph looked like below (Take a look at Zrodlo.Metadane.abstrakt string field with focused value) [its view from eclipse debuger] with a code: ObjectContainer db=Db4o.openFile(DB_FILE); try { db.store(encja); db.commit(); } finally{ db.close(); } After that, I tried to read it with a code: ObjectContainer db=Db4o.openFile((DB_FILE)); try{ Query q = db.query(); q.constrain(EncjaDanych.class); ObjectSet<Object> objectSet = q.execute(); logger.debug("objectSet.size" + objectSet.size()); EncjaDanych encja = (EncjaDanych) objectSet.get(0); logger.debug("ENCJA" + encja.toString()); return encja; }finally{ db.close(); } and I got it (picture below) - string field "abstrakt" is null now !!! I take a look at it using ObjectManager (picture below) and abstrakt field has not-null value there!!! The same value, that on the 1st picture. Please help me :) It is my second day with db4o.     I'm curious to know what workstation hardware companies are devoting to you, as a developer -- and how much they're spending. I'd consider this thread a big success if I could shed some light on these questions: Do engineers at big companies use substantially different hardware than engineers at start-ups companies? Does a fresh developer recruit at Google get substantially different hardware from someone in the same position at Microsoft or Yahoo!? Do programmers in more senior positions have more powerful hardware on their desks? Does anyone think faster hardware makes more efficient engineers?

  • Is there a major downside to using .htaccess files in your svn/git repository?

    If our .htaccess files are purely for mod rewrites, is there a security / development downside to committing .htaccess files alongside other files in your repository? For various reasons (our SEO optimisers like to add pretty urls as new promotions occur, etc) we need a fair few rewrite rules inside these files. Would I be better off pushing the routing into php-land and dealing with it there? Or is reading from a .htaccess via apache fine? The .htaccess files are not exposed via the web server, so that's not a security risk.
