    I am trying to use the goTo function to rotate between images, here is my basic JS: <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> $.jQTouch(); $(function () { $('.touch').live('swipe', function (event, info) { alert('called' + info.direction); var id = $(this).parent().next().attr("id"); alert(id); $.jQTouch.goTo(id, 'slide'); }); }); </script> This works great up until I get to the $.jQTouch.goTo(id, 'slide'); line and then I get the following error: $.jQTouch.goTo is not a function How do I access this goTo function?

  • adding tabbar to uiview (not tabbarcontroller) to switch views

    Hi, i added a Tab bar to my existing view called secondViewController where there are now 4 tab bar items using interface builder. This tab bar will allow the users to switch between views. This is what ive tried to do: If i use a tabbar controller, then a new view pops up and i dont want that. i simply want to be able to add a tab bar as ive done and carry on from there. i dont know how to actually connect it all up and make everything work together. This is what i understand: i have to make my current - secondViewController an tabbardelegate which is what ive done as shown @interface paddedDholViewController : UIViewController <AVAudioPlayerDelegate, UITabBarDelegate> { } then i understand that i have to add tabBar.delegate = self; for me to be able to detect the tabBar:didSelectItem: so i can then implement something like this - (void)tabBarController:(UITabBarController *)tabBarController didSelectViewController:(UIViewController *)viewController { if ([viewController.tabBarItem.title isEqualToString:@"FIRST"]) { NSLog(@"FIRST"); } else if ([viewController.tabBarItem.title isEqualToString:@"SECOND"]) { NSLog(@"SECOND"); } } to be able to switch between the views The thing is as ive said before i dont know how to implement all of this and how to connect everything up. can someone help me please.   • How do I best handle a needed patch for Perl/Tk?

    I am making a change to Perl/Tk for an application that has its own resident Perl and modules installation (so we can drop the app in and go).   • Android ROM Development. What does it take?

    Hi. I have been developing android apps out of hobby and fun. I want to get more serious about android development. One particular thing that I am very keen on doing (or atleast trying my hand at) is andoroid ROM development for specific handsets. Like, maybe outdated HTC Touch. (Elf/Elfin). I am at a loss to understand, what does it take to get started in right direction and what does it entails? I would really appreciate your help if you could point me to some resources which would highlight ROM Development for Android specifically. (Fundamentals of ROM development irrespective of OS would help too). Cheers

  • How to find and update the next record in a linking table

    I have a classifieds system I'm working on. People are able to add photos to a classified, but I only display one when displaying the list of classifieds. To do that, I have a linking table between classifieds and photos that has a "is_main" boolean field. When someone deletes one of their classified photos, I want to: 1) See if there is more than that photo tied to the classified. 2) If there is, update the next photo and set that "is_main" field to TRUE. Just trying to find out the most efficient way to do this.

  • How can I enable PHP5 for a site? Having problems with every single method.

    I'm working on a client site that is hosted on someone's DIY Debian Linux server [Apache/1.3.33 (Debian GNU/Linux)], and I'm trying to install a script that requires PHP5. By default, the server parses .php files with PHP 4.3.10-22, which is configured at /etc/php4/apache/php.ini, according to phpinfo(). On the server I can see a config directory for PHP5 adjacent to the PHP4 directory: /etc/php5.0/apache2/php.ini. I have tried multiple methods to enable PHP5 for the document root where the site's files are hosted, including all available methods mentioned here. By far, the most common suggestion I've found is to add one or both of the following lines to the site's .htaccess file: AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .php Trouble is, when either or both of those lines are present, the site forces my browser to download any .php files requested, without parsing the PHP at all. All of the other methods mentioned in the above article cause a 500 Internal Server Error. There is no hosting control panel I can access in a browser to enable PHP5 for the site, but I do have shell access. When I asked the server administrator about this issue, he encouraged me to search for the answer on Google. Where could I begin to troubleshoot this issue? Are there ways to test or verify the server's specific PHP5 installation and configuration, using the command line or some other method? Do you have other suggestions to enable PHP5?

    Hi, The situation is as follows:- We have n number and we have print them in sorted order. We have access to balanced dictionary data structure, which supports the operations serach, insert, delete, minimum, maximum each in O(log n) time. We want to retrieve the numbers in sorted order in O(n log n) time using only the insert and in-order traversal. The answer to this is:- Sort() initialize(t) while(not EOF) read(x) insert(x,t); Traverse(t); Now the query is if we read the elements in time "n" and then traverse the elements in "log n"(in-order traversal) time,, then the total time for this algorithm (n+logn)time, according to me.. Please explain the follow up of this algorithm for the time calculation.. How it will sort the list in O(nlogn) time?? Thanks.

  • JSON URL from StackExchange API returning jibberish?

    I have a feeling I'm doing something wrong here, but I'm not quite sure I'f I'm missing a step, or am just having an encoding problem or something. I would copy and past it here, but that isn't working. What am I doing wrong?

  • Is the Subversion 'stack' a realistic alternative to Team Foundation Server?

    I'm evaluating Microsoft Team Foundation Server for my customer, who currently uses Visual SourceSafe and nothing else. They have explicitly expressed a desire to implement a more rigid and process-driven environment as their application is in production and they have future releases to consider. The particular areas I'm trying to cover are: Configuration management (e.g., source control) Change management (workflow and doco for change requests, tasks) Release management (builds and deployments) Incident and problem management (issues and bugs) Document management (similar to source control, but available via web) Code analysis constraints on check-ins A testing framework Reporting Visual Studio 2008 integration TFS does all of these things quite well, but it's expensive and complex to maintain, and the inexpensive Workgroup edition doesn't scale. We don't get TFS as part of our MSDN subscription. Those problems can be overcome, but before I tell my customer to go the TFS route, which in itself isn't a terrible thing, I wanted to evaluate the alternatives. I know Subversion is often suggested for its configuration management/source control, but what about the other areas? Would a combination of Subversion/NUnit/Wiki/CruiseControl/NAnt/something else satisfy all of these requirements? What tools do I need to include in my evaluation? Or should I just bite the bullet and go with TFS since we're already invested in the Microsoft stack?

  • best practises to delete a set of tables in sql 2008

    Basically i want to keep the transaction very simple but i should be able to rollback if any error in the later part. Something like mentioned below, BEGIN TRANSACTION DELETE SET 1(this will delete first set of table) COMMIT DELETE SET 2 (will delete second set of table) If any error occurs while deleting set 2 i should be able to rollback set 1 transaction as well.Let me know if we have any options to do like this.   • How to tell process id within Python

    Hey, I am working with a cluster system over linux (www.mosix.org) that allows me to run jobs and have the system run them on different computers. Jobs are run like so: mosrun ls & This will naturally create the process and run it on the background, returning the process id, like so: [1] 29199 Later it will return. I am writing a Python infrastructure that would run jobs and control them. For that I want to run jobs using the mosrun program as above, and save the process ID of the spawned process (29199 in this case). This naturally cannot be done using os.system or commands.getoutput, as the printed ID is not what the process prints to output... Any clues? Edit: Since the python script is only meant to initially run the script, the scripts need to run longer than the python shell. I guess it means the mosrun process cannot be the script's "son process". Any suggestions? Thanks
