  • Compiling PHP with cURL and SSL support on Redhat EC5

    I don't even know where to begin to be honest. Trying to use an external API that requires SSL connections, I discover that SSL in needed on cURL, but this (apparently) requires PHP to be reinstalled and compiled with cURL / SSL support. Not really experienced with compiling PHP, and I'm not sure if our server even has make or build, the only luck I've had is with rpm's before. This really isn't in my job description. Any help most most welcome!

  • Raudus vs ExtPascal

    Delphi developers has several tools (several alternatives to ASP.NET) for building web applications. While No.1 framework is Intraweb, there is a lot of interest around ExtJS, that has 2 incarnations: 1) the opensource ExtPascal 2) the closedsource Raudus Now the products are different, Raudus never supports the latest ExtJS version (while ExtPascal does because as far as I read it "almost automatically updates itself to the latest ExJS version"), Raudus "seems" much RAD (much similar to Intraweb from the RAD point of view). Anyway why chose one or the other? Why Raudus since it is free cannot become Open Source?

  • VS 2010 web.config transformation

    Hi all, I need help on web.config transformation as I'm trying to do something not documented. My web.config has an empty connectionStrings element. In debug, I'd like the transformation tool to add a configSource="file.local" to the connectionStrings element. But in release, I'd like it to add a connectionString element. So, to summarize, I have <connectionStings> </connectionStings> And I need to transform it to <connectionStings configSource="file.local"> </connectionStings> And to: <connectionStings> <clear/> <add name="Abc" connectionSting="bla bla bla" provider="xxx" /> </connectionStings> Anybody has done this yet?   • Finding subtitute pluggin (After Switching from Notepad++ to Netbeans 6.8)

    i would like to ask about some Notepad++ feature that i couldn't find in netbeans. And this feature is somehow really helpful. It's called 'function list' created by Jens Lorenz. this feature will list all of declared function in a PHP files. So, is there any subtitute plugin that i can use to smooth my migration from Notepad++ to Netbeans ? the main reason i switch is for svn, Phpdoc-support, and easiness maintaining medium-size web project.

  • Find and Replace with Notepad++

    I have a document that was converted from PDF to HTML for use on a company website to be referenced and indexed for search. I'm attempting to format the converted document to meet my needs and in doing so I am attempting to clean up some of the junk that was pulled over from when it was a PDF such as page numbers, headers, and footers. luckily all of these lines that need to be removed are in blocks of 4 lines unfortunately they are not exactly the same therefore cannot be removed with a simple literal replace. The lines contain numbers which are incremental as they correlate with the pages. How can I remove the following example from my html file. Title<br> 10<br> <hr> <A name=11></a>Footer<br> I've tried many different regular expression attempts but as my skill in that area is limited I can't find the proper syntax. I'm sure i'm missing something fairly easy as it would seem all I need is a wildcard replace for the two numbers in the code and the rest is literal. any help is apprciated

    I want to alter a table to add a constraint during upgrade on a SQL Server database. This table is normally indexed on a filegroup called 'MY_INDEX' - but may also be on a database without this filegroup. In this case I want the indexing to be done on the 'PRIMARY' filegroup. I tried the following code to achieve this: DECLARE @fgName AS VARCHAR(10) SET @fgName = CASE WHEN EXISTS(SELECT groupname FROM sysfilegroups WHERE groupname = 'MY_INDEX') THEN QUOTENAME('MY_INDEX') ELSE QUOTENAME('PRIMARY') END ALTER TABLE [dbo].[mytable] ADD CONSTRAINT [PK_mytable] PRIMARY KEY ( [myGuid] ASC ) ON @fgName -- fails: 'incorrect syntax' However, the last line fails as it appears a filegroup cannot be specified by variable. Is this possible?

NOTE: I tried change StaysOpen="false" and when btnShowPopup.MouseDown event: this.popup.IsOpen=!this.popup.IsOpen; But this solution cause another problem: when btnShowPopup.MouseUp event, the Popup is disappear. Please help.

    Is it possible to have a JSF managed bean be automatically created? For example I have several session scoped beans. Sometimes it becomes necessary to access these instances in code (rather than just in JSF) this is done by: PageBean pageBean = (PageBean) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getSessionMap().get("pages"); However if no page has already been visited which calls to '#{pages}' this resolves to null ... is there anyway to get JSF to create a bean when the scope 'begins'? So in this case ideally when a user session begins the 'pages' bean would be instantiated in the session immediately?

Is there any way to cape with this situation? I can construct another function that does the job I want to do and have both constructors call that function. But I wonder is there any solution?

  • Team build of Web Projects generates App_web_xxxx.dll files and TFSBuild.Proj Script

    Hi all, I have a web application that has some non-web projects as well. When using Web Deployment, a single assembly is generated for all the aspx.vb files. When using Team Build (TS 2008), a lot number App_Web_xxx.dll file(s) are generated instead of a single assembly. How can i solve this problem and change the TFSBuild.proj file so that it can generate a single Web Assembly instead of a lot number of assemblies. Please help. Thanks Edit: I guess thats because the MERGE operation is not occurring like it used to happen for Web Deployment Project in my solution. How can i enable MERGE of App_web_*.dll files into a single Web.dll assembly file and delete the satellite assemblies?   • Java memory usage increases when App is used, but doesnt decrease when not being used.

    I have a java application that uses a lot of memory when used, but when the program is not being used, the memory usage doesnt go down. Is there a way to force Java to release this memory? Because this memory is not needed at that time, I can understand to reserve a small amount of memory, but Java just reserves all the memory it ever uses. It also reuses this memory later but there must be a way to force Java to release it when its not needed. System.gc is not working.

  • Why should I use MVVM when it breaks built in riaservices functionality

    I'm struggling to grasp why MVVM is really a good pattern to implement in riaserivces, To me there's nothing but trouble to it, it just add's another tier that I have to code. I Get that I could change the UI, but really I don't need to. Instead i won't be able to user out of the box functionality with riaservices, datagrid, dataform all controls require some implementation. Why can't it just be simple? Is there really no way to get MVVM to automatically set "IsBusy" and all the dataform edit functionality. It's like reinventing the wheel to me, and it seems that I'd be able to write code much faster just using riaservices
