  • Missed something? Cant upload files to server (permissions)

    I can upload files as "root" to the Ubuntu server. Then I created a user (me). Next I added the user to the group www-data. Then assigned rwx permissions to www-data. Next, when I try to upload, delete or modify files VIA FILEZILLA, I cant. But via the terminal, I can change files using sudo command. What should I do to be able to upload files without getting the "permission denied" in filezilla? If you need more input let me know. Thanks

  • I need a way to read web feeds that meets the following requirements

    Requirements: Can be set as always on top of other windows. Can be moved and resized freely. Adjustable refresh times and/or a reload button. Text-only is fine. I will need to open hyper links, though. Simple and cheap free. Offline caching. If you know of a program that does all of this, can you tell me what settings I need to adjust to get it to do this?     Hi, I have a child Window , and I am displaying it from the code behind as below: ChildPhotoViewer PhotoViewer = new ChildPhotoViewer(); PhotoViewer.DataContext = selectedPhoto; PhotoViewer.Title = selectedPhoto.strTitle.ToString(); PhotoViewer.Show(); But While Displaying the child window I am getting the Close Button and a Border thickness arround the Window.   • Newbie question on MvcContrib TestHelpers

    Hi, I'm just starting to use the TestHelpers in MvcContrib. I want to try and test an action method on my controller that itself tests if IsAjaxRequest() is true. I've used the same code that is shown in the TestHelper samples to set up the TestControllerBuilder _controller = new StarsController(); _builder = new TestControllerBuilder(); _builder.InitializeController(_controller); So that _controller has all the faked/mocked HttpContext inside it, which is really great. But what do I do now to force IsAjaxRequest() on the internally faked Request object to return true?

  • How can I pipe two Perl CORE::system commands in a cross-platform way?

    I'm writing a System::Wrapper module to abstract away from CORE::system and the qx operator. I have a serial method that attempts to connect command1's output to command2's input. I've made some progress using named pipes, but POSIX::mkfifo is not cross-platform. My specific questions: Is there an alternative to POSIX::mkfifo that is cross-platform? Win32 named pipes don't work, as you can't open those as regular files, neither do sockets, for the same reasons. 2. The above doesn't quite work; the two threads get spawned correctly, but nothing flows across the pipe. I suppose that might have something to do with pipe deadlocking or output buffering. What throws me off is that when I run those two commands in the actual shell, everything works as expected. Point 2 is solved; a -p fifo file test was not testing the correct file.

  • PHP memcached: getDelayed & getMulti - how to use?

    Hi everybody, I have thought a bit recently about how to use getDelayed and getMulti in a PHP application, and their difference. From reading the documentation about getDelayed: "The method does not wait for response and returns right away. When you are ready to collect the items, call either Memcached::fetch or Memcached::fetchAll." So obviously there's a need to call fetchAll before having the keys available, unlike getMulti. But when is the actual memcached call being done? At fetchAll or when getDelayed is run?

  • Can you pass _POST variables from 1 server to another?

    I have a web form on an IIS server (has no PHP). I have a PHP script on a LAMP server. My _POST var array is coming up empty on the LAMP server. My suspicion is I cannot pass POST vars from 1 server to another but I would like to have that confirmed. Does anyone know the answer to this? If that's the case then I know I need to with use _GET vars in the URL's Query String or set a cookie (which I can do because both servers are config'd with the domain name). Thanks for your help.

  • Directory of "index.html" on site

    I wonder if the index.html MUST be in the "www" folder on the server after uploading the site? This because I have actually made everything in a folder called "SV", so my site is located in : "www/SV/index.html" My Q is, on the server, could I just create a folder named "SV" under "www" and expect index.html to be automatically displayed ones the users type in the web-adress to my site?     Hi, In a C# WebBrowser control, I have generated a SELECT HtmlElement with a number of OPTION elements using w.RenderBeginTag(HtmlTextWriterTag.Select). I need to get the value of the select when the user changes it, and so added an event handler in the WebBrowser DocumentCompleted event. private void webBrowser1_DocumentCompleted(object sender, WebBrowserDocumentCompletedEventArgs e) { .... webBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("id_select_0").AttachEventHandler("onchange", new EventHandler(ddSelectedIndexChanged)); .... } protected void ddSelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { .... } The event handler does get called, but the sender parameter is null and e is empty. Does anyone know how to overcome this problem? Andrew

  • Render an asynchronous report, wider than the screen, without extra scrollbars

    I have an asynchronous local SSRS 2005 report that is of variable height and width, but routinely is bigger than the screen. I want to render it full size so that some of the report renders off screen and the only scrollbars the user sees are the ones on the browser window. What is the best way to accomplish this? The only method that I've found that even comes remotely close to what I want is to set static width/height values that are much larger than the report will ever be. But, this is undesirable since it leaves so much extra whitespace in the browser window. Has anyone had success rendering asynchronous reports without the extra scrollbars?

    Do anyone know if there is a possibility to clear the message that have been set by the CCTray menu entry “Volunteer to fix build”? It can be set by misstake or pretty often we in the CM team, and others use this possibility to volunteer to fix the build to show the rest of the developers and CM personnel that we will take a first look at the build problem and if we do not manage to solve it we want to reset / clear this message out so the next resource can take over.
