    Hi, I have the following XML <search ver="3.0"> <loc id="ARBA0009" type="1">Buenos Aires, Argentina</loc> <loc id="BRXX1283" type="1">Buenos Aires, Brazil</loc> <loc id="ARDF0127" type="1">Aeroparque Buenos Aires, Argentina</loc> <loc id="MXJO0669" type="1">Concepcion De Buenos Aires, Mexico</loc> <loc id="MXPA1785" type="1">San Nicolas De Buenos Aires, Mexico</loc> <loc id="ARBA0005" type="1">Balcarce, Argentina</loc> <loc id="ARBA0008" type="1">Bragado, Argentina</loc> <loc id="ARBA0010" type="1">Campana, Argentina</loc> <loc id="ARBA0016" type="1">Chascomus, Argentina</loc> <loc id="ARBA0019" type="1">Chivilcoy, Argentina</loc> </search> And a City class public class City { private String id; private Integer type; private String name; // getters & setters... } I tried the following aliases to parse the XML xStream.alias("search", List.class); xStream.alias("loc", City.class); xStream.useAttributeFor("id", String.class); xStream.useAttributeFor("type", Integer.class); But I can't figure out how to set the value of the "loc" tag, if I try to transform the City object in XML I get <search> <loc id="ARBA0001" type="1"> <name>Buenos Aires</name> </loc> </search> When I really need to get this <search> <loc id="ARBA0001" type="1">Buenos Aires</loc> </search> Then, if I try to parse the XML to a City object I get the field "name" with a null value. Anybody knows how to set te correct aliases to do this? Thanks in advance.

  • How to make mysql accept connections externally

    I have a VPS and I want to make mysql DB accept connection externally (from my PC for instance). I have Debian Linux installed on the server. I checked some tutorials online and they said to comment out: bind-address = 127.0.0.1 But this didn't seem to help! is there anything specific for VPSs? or Am I missing something else? The command that runs mysql is: /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/usr --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid --skip-external-locking --port=3306 --socket=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock

They used to run and end without abending, but now they open and stay open and I have to setup the task to quit them by force before their next scheduled run.     Hi All! i know this is not a properly code question, but who of you don't use an FTP client!? ;-) Ok my problem is that my FTP work great, exept when i upload files on a particular client server! on this server happen that some files are uploaded fine and others not, they stop while uploading at half of it's size, then this error is displayed: 530 Sorry, the maximum number of clients (4) from your host are already connected. Unable to make a connection. Please try again. Obviously this is not true, i'm the only one that is uploading! Anyone had the same experience with this!? PS: i have tried many different FTP, all display the same error or just hung up! Thank's

  • Servlet doPost() Method setup?

    I am interested in creating a web app that uses JSP, Servlets and XML. At the moment I have the following: JSP - Form input. Servlet - Retrieving Form data and sending that data to a java object. Java object (1) - Converts data into XML file....instantiates java object (2). Java object (2) - Sends that file to a database. On the returning side the database will send back another XML file that I will then process using XSLT to display back to the user. Can I place that XSLT code in the orignial Servlets doPost() method? So my doPost()` method would: Retrieve user inputted data from the form on my JSP page. Instantiate a java object to convert that data to XML, in-turn that object will instantiates another object to send the XML file to a database. Converts the resulting XML file sent from the database and displays it for the user. Can one servlet doPost() method handle all of this? If not, how would I set up my application and classes to handle this work flow? Thank you in advance

    I have a table whose primary key is used in several other tables and has several foreign keys to other tables. CREATE TABLE location ( locationID INT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY ... ) ENGINE = InnoDB; CREATE TABLE assignment ( assignmentID INT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, locationID INT NOT NULL, FOREIGN KEY locationIDX (locationID) REFERENCES location (locationID) ... ) ENGINE = InnoDB; CREATE TABLE assignmentStuff ( ... assignmentID INT NOT NULL, FOREIGN KEY assignmentIDX (assignmentID) REFERENCES assignment (assignmentID) ) ENGINE = InnoDB; The problem is that when I'm trying to drop one of the foreign key columns (ie locationIDX) it gives me an "ERROR 1025 (HY000): Error on rename" error. How can I drop the column in the assignment table above without getting this error?

  • Can't find solution for CSS vertical align for Firefox

    I have a problem with DIV vertical align in Firefox The HTML code is: <div class="mess"><div class="rpl"><img src="img/16.png" width="16" height="16" border="0"></div><div class="pic"><img src="img/1.png" width="100" height="100" border="0"></div></div> The CSS looks like: .mess{ float:left; width:658px; border-top:1px solid #CCC;padding-top:5px; } .rpl{ position: relative;width:19px; float:left;top: 20%;display: table-cell; vertical- align: middle; padding-top:20px; } .pic{width:100px; float:left; padding-bottom:5px;margin-right:10px; } I'm trying to put "rpl" DIV at the vertical middle of the "mess" DIV. In IE it looks fine but I can't get it right in Firefox (always at the top of the "mess" div) I tried with display: inline,display: table-cell for "rpl" DIV but with no effect in FF. Is there any solution for vertical align for DIV in FF?

Right now, just for me to use the Slider control, I have to include: JQuery core JQuery UI core JQuery Slider plugin When I both minimize using Google's awesome Closure (minimizer) and GZIP the JavaScript, I'm still at around 29kb. Question: Do any comparable (dual) Slider control exist that isn't such a large download?

What I'd like to do is use a query which, if there is no such element, returns, say "missing". How do I do this?

  • Java Ugly Rounding Error?

    Using series.add(180, 1); produces a perfectly valid chart like this (little red dot at the bottom with some PolarItemRenderer Mods!) but using series.add(3000/(6000/360), 1); produces this beast: I assume it's because somewhere, 6000/360 = 16.6... is getting rounded? How can I stop this happening? Thanks :)
