  • PHP Redirect one page to another server without showing URL

    Having just written the title for this question I am aware of how dodgy it sounds! I am writing a back end for storing volunteer information for some friends, they have their own website to which I can add a volunteer.php page. What I want is for that page to redirect to a page on my server showing the form for the users to fill in, I would prefer the ugly URL of my site not to show. Is there an easy way to do this? Load the page inside the remotely hosted page somehow? Thanks, Gav

It seems like pointers and array indexes should be checked at all. When should integer overflow be checked for? When numbers are added in C without type explicitly mentioned, or printed with printf, when will overflow occur? Is there a way to automatically detect when an integer arithmetic overflow?

    Hi, I was playing around with variadic templates (gcc 4.5) and hit this problem : template <typename... Args> boost::tuple<Args...> my_make_tuple(Args... args) { return boost::tuple<Args...>(args...); } int main (void) { boost::tuple<int, char> t = my_make_tuple(8, 'c'); } GCC error message : sorry, unimplemented: cannot expand 'Arg ...' into a fixed-length argument list In function 'int my_make_tuple(Arg ...)' If I replace every occurrence of boost::tuple by std::tuple, it compiles fine. Is there a problem in boost tuple implementation ? Or is this a gcc bug ? I must stick with Boost.Tuple for now.     Hi, Kangxi radicals in the range 2F00-2FDF (see link text) are not displayed correctly on the iPhone device. They appear as a crossed-out box. In the simulator they display correctly. I tried the system font and also the [UIFont fontWithName:@"STHeitiTC-Medium" size:24]; ... Is the unicode codepoint coverage limited on the iphone (in my case OS 3.1.3)? How to make those radicals appear??? Thx

  • Proper way to validate model in ASP.NET MVC 2 and ViewModel apporach

    I am writing an ASP.NET MVC 2 application using NHibernate and repository pattern. I have an assembly that contains my model (business entities), moreover in my web project I want to use flattened objects (possibly with additional properties/logic) as ViewModels. These VMs contain UI-specific metadata (eg. DisplayAttribute used by Html.LabelFor() method). The problem is that I don't know how to implement validation so that I don't repeat myself throughout various tiers (specifically validation rules are written once in Model and propagated to ViewModel). I am using DataAnnotations on my ViewModel but this means no validation rules are imposed on the Model itself. One approach I am considering is deriving ViewModel objects from business entities adding new properties/overriding old ones, thus preserving validation metadata between the two however this is an ugly workaround. I have seen Automapper project which helps to map properties, but I am not sure if it can handle ASP.NET MVC 2 validation metadata properly. Is it difficult to use custom validation framework in asp.net mvc 2? Do you have any patterns that help to preserve DRY in regard to validation?

    I am trying to create a simple Icon+Text ListView but it does not work. I am using 2.1 Android SDK. But any time I try to run this the application hangs up unexpected in my android emulator. Am I missing something?

  • Version control for Adobe Flash projects

    I'm working with a very complex Flash project which is part of a full range of services that we deploy for the use of our clients. For most of our software sources (Java, PHP, Javascript, HTML and a some supporting scripts in other languages) we use subversion for version control and management, so we do the same for our Flash projects, even though we gain little benefits from version controlling that (except being able revert to previous versions) as FLA files are stored as just binaries which we cannot get meaningful diffs from. We're putting as much code as we can into AS files which we can properly manage using subversion, but due to the requirements of our architecture and our deployment strategy (both we cannot change because of our clients needs), we still maintain a large collection of FLA files that we need to manage. I've looked at Adobe Version Cue and while I do not really understand what it does in terms of version control, will moving our Flash projects to hosting on Version Cue will give me better control then I currently get from Subversion? Also - if people can share their experience and suggestions regarding version control of Flash projects, it will be very helpful.

    Dear all, I just created a new POP3 account in my 2003 Outlook. I checked the settings and the Inbox-Outbox are working well. However if I send from my standard Outlook POP3 account a mail to my Second one I do not receive it. I receive the message: 550-Mailbox unknown. Either there is no mailbox associated with this 550-name or you do not have authorization to see it. 550 5.1.1 User unknown Does anybody know how to fix this. Many thanks.Peter

    Hello, In Windows XP Pro (SP2), there seems to be no way to have shortcuts automatically updated so they can stay connected to their target files or folders after the latter have been moved or renamed. So I'm looking for more efficient ways of reconnecting broken shortcuts with their moved or renamed targets than manually deleting them and re-creating new ones (this can be quite a chore if you reorganize your files and folders often, resulting in a lot of shortcuts to fix); and I'd like to find out if there are any PC programs that can monitor shortcuts on Windows XP and automatically fix them when their target files or folders get moved or renamed.   • How can you turn off alternate screen in OSX's Terminal.app?

    altscreen is evil. If you don't know what I'm talking about, see this page for visual demonstration. Problem is, there doesn't seem to be a way to stop it with Terminal.app (under OSX), when you're not using screen. Yes, you can edit terminfo definition, but that's rather blunt hammer. Plus that solution might break if Apple decides to update relevant term's definition in some patch. Is there some clean way to convince Terminal.app to block altscreen usage?

  • Can I get a more portable receiver for my Logitech wireless mouse?

    Hi there, I have a Logitech Trackman mouse, which I love and would like to take with me on my travels. However, the receiver for this thing is highly unportable (for use on a train, for example). I know you can get tiny wireless receivers like on this mouse. Is there any way to use a smaller third party receiver with my Logitech mouse, or does anyone know of a Logitech accessory or something like that which I could use? Thanks!

I mean, on autosave the "some-div" html becomes "Loading...". Is possible to avoid that?
