  • undefined reference to "func" when complied with GCC

    I implement a link list in two files in linklist.h and linklist.c, and I call some functions defined in linklist.h in main function of main.c. linklist.h is included in both linklist.c and main.c. When I compile this program by GCC with Makefile, the error named "undefined reference to xxx" occurs. I think my Makefile is written correctly as below. So what is the possible reason for this linking error CC=gcc CFLAGS= -g -O2 TARGET=target OBJECTS=main.o linklist.o TARGET: $(OBJECTS) $(CC) $(CFLAGS) $(OBJECTS) -o $(TARGET) clean: rm target $(OBJECTS) main.o:linklist.h linklist.o:linklist.h

  • Bash sourcing of functions in other languages

    This is, perhaps, a silly question, but it's something that I've wondered about: is it possible to, say, define a Ruby/Python/Perl/etc. function in some file and then source it in Bash (to make it available anywhere in the current shell)? At the moment, I "source" scripts/functions in other languages by creating a bash alias that executes that script... But I wonder if it's possible for Bash to interpret those other functions directly? Thanks. :)

    The address bar background color in Google Chrome is black. I cannot see what I'm typing. What's going on? This is a problem when you're typing in a URL you've never used before (so there's no matching history). Type in a URL you've never used before. Imagine someone is giving it to you over the phone. Make a typo somewhere. Use the back arrow to go back and correct it. You cannot see where the cursor is. This just started happening yesterday. I'm on WinXP Pro.

  • ssh xauth error Mac OS 10.6.3

    Whenever I ssh with X11 forwarding to a remote box from my macbook I get the following error after a few seconds pause: Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding. Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • Disable the postback on an <ASP:LinkButton>

    I have an ASP.NET linkbutton control on my form. I would like to use it for javascript on the client side and prevent it from posting back to the server. (I'd like to use the linkbutton control so I can skin it and disable it in some cases, so a straight up tag is not preferred). How do I prevent it from posting back to the server?

  • Passing a multi-line string as an argument to a script in Windows

    I have a simple python script like so: import sys lines = sys.argv[1] for line in lines.splitlines(): print line I want to call it from the command line (or a .bat file) but the first argument may (and probably will) be a string with multiple lines in it. How does one do this? Of course, this works: import sys lines = """This is a string It has multiple lines there are three total""" for line in lines.splitlines(): print line But I need to be able to process an argument line-by-line. EDIT: This is probably more of a Windows command-line problem than a Python problem. EDIT 2: Thanks for all of the good suggestions. It doesn't look like it's possible. I can't use another shell because I'm actually trying to invoke the script from another program which seems to use the Windows command-line behind the scenes.

I have relation n:n through table colporteur_in_rayons which has attributes since_date and until_date.     I have a postgresql table containing movements of different items (models) between warehouses. For example, the following record means that 5 units of model 1 have been sent form warehouse 1 to 2: source target model units ------ ------ ----- ----- 1 2 1 5 I am trying to build a SQL query to obtain the difference between units sent and received, grouped by models. Again with an example: source target model units ------ ------ ----- ----- 1 2 1 5 -- 5 sent from 1 to 2 1 2 2 1 2 1 1 2 -- 2 sent from 2 to 1 2 1 1 1 -- 1 more sent from 2 to 1 The result should be: source target model diff ------ ------ ----- ---- 1 2 1 2 -- 5 sent minus 3 received 1 2 2 1 I wonder if this is possible with a single SQL query.     I found a weird CSS validation result: when rgba() is used to background, it does not validate, however, the workaround is rgba() for background-color. Why that rule exists? Is it a validator's bug? Try to validate the following there, and you can see the result: div { background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); } and div { background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); }

  • How do I compare between ByteString and ByteSymbol in squeak?

    Hi, I want to execute the following code: methodName := thisContext sender method selector. aClass selectors do: [:current | current == methodName ifTrue: aBlock]. Although the strings are equal, it never steps into the "ifTrue", I've tried converting both of them to ByteArray\String and it steel didn't work. Any ideas of how to compare them so I will get to the "ifTrue"? Thanks in advance

    Hello, I want to learn the operating system. How it works. I don't want to make my own operating system. I just want to learn how it works. As I can find out source code of any open source OS. But how to start. Like starting from the first elementary kernel (whatever it is). Somebody suggested I try to implement Linux from scratch etc. Please guide me in a proper way. I want to know about the proper path to follow. I am ready to invest three to four years just to understand the basics. I have good fundamentals of C, C++, PHP, OOP and compiler design.

  • jquery ui autcomplete does not disapper with no result

The problem is, if the first few chars match something and then you enter a char that should "break" any match, it just keeps the drop down in place with the results for the last matched char... make sense? Would this be something I needed to change in the script that returns the data or something in the jquery? thanks!

  • Servlet receives OPTIONS instead of GET requests from jQuery?

    All I want to achieve is to implement a servlet providing a json feed for my fullcalendar application. When I inspect http://arshaw.com/js/fullcalendar/examples/json.html with Bugzilla, I see that GET-requests are sent to receive the json feed. However, when I use this example within my scenario, fullcalendar seems to send OPTIONS-requests. The only difference is that I replaced "events: "json-events.php" with "http://localhost:8080/CalendarServletTest/HelloWorldServlet" (the url of my servlet). What do I miss? Or is this really a bug?

  • Implementing the server side of Webhooks

    If I want to Webhooks-enable a web application (I'm referring to the server-side of things, ie the server where the event happens and the callback is initiated from), are there libraries for this, or is this functionality typically part of the web server stack? Or, am I looking at this incorrectly, and to implement Webhooks I simply code my application to do an HTTP POST callback based on whatever events I care about?
