  • How to get on which ListView has been a ContextItem selected?

    I have a screen with three listviews, each having three different cursors, but all have the same ContextMenu show/resolve code and when the selection event fires, I want to get the ListView to refresh it. I can't use menuInfo.targetView, as that holds the LinearLayout for the ListView row, and not the ListView. in this method public boolean onContextItemSelected(MenuItem item) How is possible?

  • Adding DOM elements using contentEditable

    Hi all, I've created an editable div, and I want to replace smiley signs with smiley images. But whenever I replace a string with a dom element (<img> or <span> or whatever..), the div stops being editable (i.e. I can see the caret when I click on text, but can add no characters to it). What's going on?   • Class with property referenced with dll not serializing

    Hey guys, I got this class TapiCall. It has 4 properties : 2 datetimes, 1 string and an object. The object is a class that's referenced by Atapi3.dll, so i cannot alter it. My class TapiCall looks like this : [DataContract] public class TapiCall { private DateTime start, end; private TCall call; private string status; [DataMember] public string Status { get { return status; } set { status = value; } } [DataMember] public TCall Call { get { return call; } set { call = value; } } [DataMember] public DateTime End { get { return end; } set { end = value; } } [DataMember] public DateTime Start { get { return start; } set { start = value; } } public TapiCall() { } public TapiCall(DateTime start, DateTime end, TCall call) { this.Start = start; this.End = end; this.Call = call; } } Now when i use my visual studio command line, to generate my proxy class, it generates an error. When i remove TapiCall from the method in my app, i can rebuild my proxy again, so i know [OperationContract] void StuurUpdatedCall(TapiCall tpCall); is causing the problem. My question now is can i Serialize a class that's referenced by a dll? Thanks in advance.

  • Why is curl in Ruby slower than command-line curl?

    I am trying to download more than 1m pages (URLs ending by a sequence ID). I have implemented kind of multi-purpose download manager with configurable number of download threads and one processing thread. The downloader downloads files in batches: curl = Curl::Easy.new batch_urls.each { |url_info| curl.url = url_info[:url] curl.perform file = File.new(url_info[:file], "wb") file << curl.body_str file.close # ... some other stuff } I have tried to download 8000 pages sample. When using the code above, I get 1000 in 2 minutes. When I write all URLs into a file and do in shell: cat list | xargs curl I gen all 8000 pages in two minutes. Thing is, I need it to have it in ruby code, because there is other monitoring and processing code. I have tried: Curl::Multi - it is somehow faster, but misses 50-90% of files (does not download them and gives no reason/code) multiple threads with Curl::Easy - around the same speed as single threaded Why is reused Curl::Easy slower than subsequent command line curl calls and how can I make it faster? Or what I am doing wrong? I would prefer to fix my download manager code than to make downloading for this case in a different way. Before this, I was calling command-line wget which I provided with a file with list of URLs. Howerver, not all errors were handled, also it was not possible to specify output file for each URL separately when using URL list. Now it seems to me that the best way would be to use multiple threads with system call to 'curl' command. But why when I can use directly Curl in Ruby?   • CAD/CAM without C++

    Hello, Is it possible to do CAD/CAM software without having to use C++? My company developed their software with c/C++ but that was more than 10 years ago. Today,there is a lot of legacy code that switching would force us to get rid of but i was wondering what the actual risks are. We have a lot of mathematical algorithms for toolpath calculations, feature recognition and simulation and 3D Rendering and i was wondering if C# can handles all of that without great performance loss. Is it a utopia to rewrite such algorithms in c# or should that language only deal with UI. We are not talking about game development here (Halo 3 or Call Of Duty) so how much processing does CAD/CAM really need? Can anybody enlighten me on this matter? Most of my colleagues are hardcore C++ programmers and although i program in c++ i love .NET but i am having a hard time selling .NET to them other than basic UI. Does it make sense to consider switching to .NET in such a field, or is it just not a wise idea? Thank you

  • PHP site scheduling Java execution?

    I'm trying to get started on combining my (slightly limited) PHP experience with my (better) Java experience, in a project where I need to allow uploads of Java source files to the server, which the server then executes Javac on to compile it. Then, at a set time (e.g. specified on upload) I need to run that once on the server, which will generate some database info for the PHP site to display. To describe my current programming abilities- I have made many desktop Java programs, and am confident in 'pure' Java, but so far have only undertaken a couple of PHP projects (including using the CodeIgniter framework). My motivation for using PHP as the frontend is because I know it is very fast, lightweight and I will be able to display the results I need very easily with it (simple DB readout). Ideally, the technology used should be able to be developed on a localhost (e.g. WAMP, Tomcat etc..) Is there any advice which you could give on what technology I should consider to use to bridge this gap, and what resources could help in using that technology? I have looked at a few, but have struggled to find documentation helping in achieving what I need.

  • Access Denied while using System.Diagnostics.Process

    I am trying to use the unmanaged ImageMagick library in my ASP.NET application from the command line using System.Diagnostics.Process. Basically, users will upload an .eps file to the site, and then I will run the command line command to convert it into .jpg. This is the code I'm using to try and run the command: Dim proc As New System.Diagnostics.Process proc.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = True proc.StartInfo.RedirectStandardError = True proc.StartInfo.FileName = "C:\Program Files (x86)\ImageMagick-6.6.1-Q16\convert.exe" proc.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = False proc.StartInfo.Arguments = String.Format("{0} {1}", Server.MapPath("~/logo/test.eps"), _ Server.MapPath("~/certificates/temp/test-1234.jpg")) proc.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = True proc.Start() I am able to run this code just fine on our development Win 2k3 server, but not on our production Win 2k3 Server. I get the error "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Access is denied". The main between the two servers is that the production is 64-bit and runs Plesk to manage multiple domains. I've tried adding rights asp.net user to the ImageMagick directory. The PS Admin says that in the case of Plesk, it's the same account that I use to access the site in VS using FPE. Does anyone know what I might do in order to allow this process to run on my production server? Thanks, Mike

    Given a list of dates 12/07/2010 13/07/2010 14/07/2010 15/07/2010 12/08/2010 13/08/2010 14/08/2010 15/08/2010 19/08/2010 20/08/2010 21/08/2010 I'm looking for pointers towards a recursive pseudocode algorithm (which I can translate into a FileMaker custom function) for producing a list of ranges, i.e. 12/07/2010 to 15/07/2010, 12/08/2010 to 15/08/2010, 19/08/2010 to 20/08/2010 The list is presorted and de-deuplicated. I've tried starting from both the first value and working forwards, and the last value and working backwards but I just can't seem to get it to work. Having one of those frustrating days... It would be nice if the signature was something like CollapseDateList( dateList, separator, ellipsis ) :-)

  • IE6 "frame" layout with 100% height and scrollbars

    I want to achieve a simple "frame" layout with fixed header, fixed left navigation area, and a main content area that fills 100% of the remainder of the viewport with scrollbars if necessary. My best attempt is below - but when I add enough content to the main div to force scrolling, I see that the scrollbar extends below the bottom of the viewport. What am I doing wrong? Or what is IE6 doing wrong and how can I fix it?     When creating a record "grid" with custom paging what is the best/optimal way to query the total number of records as well as the records start-end using C#? SQL to return paged record set: SELECT Some, Columns, Here FROM ( SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY Column ASC) AS RowId, * FROM Records WHERE (...) ) AS tbl WHERE ((RowId > @Offset) AND (RowId <= (@Offset + @PageSize)) ) SQL to count total number of records: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM Records WHERE (...) Right now, I make two trips to the server: one for getting the records, and the other for counting the total number of records. What is/are the best way(s) to combine these queries to avoid multiple DB trips?

  • Different results coming out of an init method than those expected. Why does this happen and how can

    When I run this method the two properties I have are set to (NULL) when I try and access them outside of the if statement.   • Does this e-mail-regex exclude valid addresses?

    I tried to create a regular expression which catches all RFC-valid addresses but it's ok if some false-positives come through (though hopefully not so many). This is waht I came up so far: /^\b\S+@\S+\.[^\s@]{2,}\b$/ Is there any RFC-valid address which doesn't match against this expression or do you have any suggestions to improve it? I don't mind the false positives but I would be glad if you show me a few, too.
