  • Own params to PeriodicTask run() method in Celery

    Hello to all! I am writing a small Django application and I should be able to create for each model object its periodical task which will be executed with a certain interval. I'm use for this a Celery application, but i can't understand one thing: class ProcessQueryTask(PeriodicTask): run_every = timedelta(minutes=1) def run(self, query_task_pk, **kwargs): logging.info('Process celery task for QueryTask %d' % query_task_pk) task = QueryTask.objects.get(pk=query_task_pk) task.exec_task() return True Then i'm do following: >>> from tasks.tasks import ProcessQueryTask >>> result1 = ProcessQueryTask.delay(query_task_pk=1) >>> result2 = ProcessQueryTask.delay(query_task_pk=2) First call is success, but other periodical calls returning the error - TypeError: run() takes exactly 2 non-keyword arguments (1 given) in celeryd server. So, can i pass own params to PeriodicTask run() ? Thanks!

  • Can I use Visual Studio 2010 and not upgrade to .NET Framework 4.0?

    I have many Visual Studio 2008 web projects targeted at the .NET Framework 3.5. I want to start using Visual Studio 2010, but the .NET Framework 4.0 isn't very well supported by web hosting companies just yet. It seems to make sense to stick with the .NET Framework 3.5 for now. If I open my projects in Visual Studio 2010 and leave them targeted at the .NET Framework 3.5, am I going to have problems?

  • Javascript/jQuery HasLoaded or equivalent?

    I know in jquery it is possible to call the javascript/jquery onload()/load() functions on, for example an image (<img>). However, if in jquery if i use .html(htmlString) to insert an image after the dom has loaded, how can i add a listener to handle the images onload event? Is there a property I can check to see various images and if they have loaded?

  • How can I clip strings in Java2D and add ... in the end?

    I'm trying to print Invoices in a Java Swing applications. I do that by extending Printable and implement the method public int print(Graphics g, PageFormat pf, int page). I would like to draw strings in columns, and when the string is to long I want to clip it and let it end with "...". How can I measure the string and clip it at the right position? Some of my code: Font headline = new Font("Times New Roman", Font.BOLD, 14); g2d.setFont(headline); FontMetrics metrics = g2d.getFontMetrics(headline); g2d.drawString(myString, 0, 20); I.e How can I limit myString to be max 120px? I could use metrics.stringWidth(myString), but I don't get the position where I have to clip the string. Expected results could be: A longer string that exc... A shorter string.     Hi folks, I have a GWT application and wanna to test load and functionality using a tool like jmeter. I am not sure jmeter is right tool for GWT. Can anybody direct me to proper tool or can tell me how to do it with jmeter? I want to test login functionality: I have two text box 'User name' and 'Password' on login screen and want to test how many users can log in simultaneously, how much time a round trip to server it takes. Don't know how jmeter can get 'user name' and 'password' and can submit it to validate against DB for GWT application? Thanks in advance.

    I'm looking for a tool to nicely generate single-page PDFs. My needs are: Able to put a PDF/EPS/... as a background Absolute positioning Able to define tables, lists Able to rotate blocks Reasonably easy syntax (will be used to automatically generate many similar looking documents) Easily usable from Python Free or very cheap In essence I'm looking for the tool X that is to OODraw/CorelDraw/... as LaTeX is to OOWrite/MS Word. I've looked at webkit2pdf and a headless OODraw, but both seem a bit of an overkill. XML-FO has some limitations such as not being able to predict how many pages your document spans. Reportlab is pricey. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • PSEXEC - PATH VARIABLE NOT FOUND

    Hi, I use the PSEXEC to start the java process in local machine. When I run the PSEXEC without any user account it works fine. c:/psexec java testclass But when I run with an user account c:psexec -u user -p password java test It gives me the below error PsExec could not start java: The system cannot find the file specified I checked the environemt variable for the the above user and the PATH variable has been properly mapped to the java path. Could any one help me to resolve this issue.

  • How to tell if a DLL function is being called from a VB6 exe?

    I have an old VB6 app and I'm not sure which code was used to compile it. One revision of the source makes a call to Sleep in kernel32.dll. Is there a way to find out if the exe calls a specific function in a DLL? I can see that kernel32.dll is linked by using the "Dependency Walker" tool but that doesn't seem to tell me that a specific function is called from the exe.

    Coming from Perl, I sure am missing the "here-document" means of creating a multi-line string in source code: $string = <<"EOF" # create a three line string text text text EOF In Java I have to have cumbersome quotes and plus signs on every line as I concatenate my multiline string from scratch. What are some better alternatives? Define my string in a properties file? Edit: Two answers say StringBuilder.append() is preferable to the plus notation. Could anyone elaborate as to why they think so? It doesn't look more preferable to me at all. I'm looking for away around the fact that multiline strings are not a first-class language construct, which means I definitely don't want to replace a first-class language construct (string concatenation with plus) with method calls. Edit: To clarify my question further, I'm not concerned about performance at all. I'm concerned about maintainability and design issues.

  • How to research unmanaged memory leaks in .NET?

    I have a WCF service running over MSMQ. Memory gradually increases over time, indicating that there is some sort of memory leak. I ran the service locally and monitored some counters using PerfMon. Total CLR memory managed heap bytes remains relatively constant, while the process' private bytes increases over time. This leads me to believe that there is some sort of unmanaged memory leak. Assuming that unmanaged memory leak is the issue, how do I address the issue? Are there any tools I could use to give me hints as to what is causing the unmanaged memory leak? Also, all my service is doing is reading from the transactional queue and writing to a database, all as part of a DTC transaction (handled under the hood by requiring a transaction on the service contract). I am not doing anything explicitly with COM or DllImports. Thanks in advance!
