  • Can i use a parameter multiple times in the qame query?

    Hey guys, i was wondering, can a parameter be used more then once in the same query, like this : MySqlParameter oPar0 = new MySqlParameter("e164", MySqlDbType.String); oPar0.Value = user.E164; string sSQL0 = "Delete from callmone.call where (caller=?e164 or called=?e164);"; clsDatabase.ExecuteSQL(sSQL0, oPar0); Is this possible or should i write 2 parameters?

  • Drawing many images inside UIImageView

    Hi all, i'm looking for a way to draw multiple images (downloaded from a webservice) inside a single uiimageview. So it'd go like i downloaded image #1, and i'd like to draw it inside rect (0,0,100,100) then #2 at (0,100,100,100) etc. I'd like to then be able to take the entire composition and save it as an image in camera roll. thanks in advance for help greetings peter

  • TransactionScope Prematurely Completed

    I have a block of code that runs within a TransactionScope and within this block of code I make several calls to the DB. Selects, Updates, Creates, and Deletes, the whole gamut. When I execute my delete I execute it using an extension method of the SqlCommand that will automatically resubmit the query if it deadlocks as this query could potentially hit a deadlock. I believe the problem occurs when a deadlock is hit and the function tries to resubmit the query. This is the error I receive: The transaction associated with the current connection has completed but has not been disposed. The transaction must be disposed before the connection can be used to execute SQL statements.   • How to connect Nitrogen with Couchdb using Ecouch

    I don't understand how to make a connection with nitrogen and couchdb using ecouch, because I have a error on this connection CAUGHT ERROR: error-undef [{ecouch,db_info,["test_suite_db"]} I put ecouch in my erlang library path and I create a symlink to support/include.mk (even I don't know if it has necessary). Or if anyone know a database how can connect with nitrogen and who to make this connection.

  • Common MVC 2 Pitfalls

    I surprised this hasn't been asked before...or maybe I just don't see it. Anyway, I'm finally straying from the comfort of ASP.NET Web Forms and exploring the world of MVC2. I've done the nerdinner walk-through and it was fairly straightforward. Now I am getting a little more adventurous and building an MVC2 app on my own and would like to know if there are some common pitfalls that others can attest to.   • add ms ajax accordion pane at runtime loses previous pane issue

    I have an AjaxControlToolkit accordion control that i'm trying to load panes at runtime. When I click a button inside a listview, it should add a new pane to the accordion control. Here is the code that adds the pane in the onitemcommand event within the listview var pane = new AccordionPane { ID = key }; pane.HeaderContainer.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl(label.Text)); pane.ContentContainer.Controls.Add(LoadControl("~/UserControls/Covers/" + e.CommandArgument + ".ascx")); accordion.Panes.Add(pane); And this will successfully show a webcontrol inside the accordion control. But when I click on another button in the listview, the accordion is reset and it only shows the new pane instead of appending a new pane. Is there any way to keep the previous pane visible across postbacks like this? By the way, each of the webcontrols that are loaded in the accordion have input fields that will need to be persisted across postbacks as well. thanks!

I do have one process that is constantly writing with 1-2megs but what the hell.. 100% iowait?

  • ASP.net VB Timers

    I would like to be able to time a page load time in ASP.net (VBscript). Adding Trace="true" to the page directive is nice, but I need to actually time an event and store it in a variable. In ASP it was easy with the Timer object, but in .net I can't find anything on Google.   • Parsing timestamp with retarded Python

    I want to parse a timestamp from a log file that has been written via datetime.datetime.now().strftime('%Y%m%d%H%M%S') and then compute the number of seconds that have passed since this timestamp. I know I could do it with datetime.datetime.strptime to get back a datetime object and then compute a timedelta. Problem is, the strptime function has been introduced with Python 2.5 and I'm using Python2.4.4 (an upgrade is not possible in my context). Any easy way to do this?

  • Problems with JQuery's Droppable Tolerance 'fit' feature when using the same size divs

    Hi I'm just wondering if anybody else can manage to get the tolerance:'fit' option to work when using the 'droppable' feature in jQuery's UI? I want to call a function only when the draggable div is dropped perfectly onto a droppable div. Both divs are the same size and I'm using snapMode:outer to help the end user. I simply cannot get it to work with 'fit'. Works perfectly with 'intersect'. Would really appreciate some help. Thanks Chris

    My team has grown fairly quickly from 1 to 5 over the last year or so and are very interested in changing our development style from Waterfall to a more iterative approach like Scrum. We work for a University and specialize in CRUD web apps for internal customers who are always changing requirements along the way. So, my question is...How do we best implement Scrum techniques? Supplemental concerns: Is it recommended to quit Waterfall "cold turkey" in order to facilitate the transition or do you feel a progressive approach is more effective? In other words, pick and choose some scrum techniques to implement now and add others further down the road?

    What are the best practices if you have a class which accepts some parameters but none of them are allowed to be null?   • How can i keep a data table thorough out my page?

    Hii, I have a data table, and this datatable will be dynamically manipulated. After certain manipulation at the end we will populate that to the database. Which state mechanism can i use for this to retain. I have tried both Session and ViewState but ViewState can't use with AJAX rich appplications. Session will be clear after the user session. i can't afford both these difficulties. Does any other mechanism to keep the datatable through out the page.
