  • Using GoogleMaps with JXMapViewer

    I have been searching on the web to see if I can use GoogleMaps with the JXMapViewer. According to this, it is illegal, but the article is more than three years old. Could anyone be kind enough to tell me if I can use GoogleMaps with the JXMap viewer? I know that Google has recently allowed desktop applications to use their static maps provided that the application is freely accessible to people on some website. If this can be done, I would appreciate some pointer to where I could start looking so that I can use Google Maps, I tried messing around with this but to no avail. Thanks in advance.

  • Facebook: I became Admin of a Page but can't edit it

    Hello! I'm testing around with facebook and made a test-page with a workmate. He made me an admin. I clicked the link in the mail from facebook, i got to the side and there's no "edit the page" link under the picture. So we added an other workmate as admin. Even he isn't supposed to edit the page. What can it be?

  • Renewed as MVP

    Ad:: SharePoint 2007 Training in .NET 3.5 technologies (more information). It is with great humbleness and honor that I accept Microsoft’s MVP award for 2010. This will be my .. I forget how many years, as an MVP. So suffice to say, I was a lot younger when I first got the MVP award, but also the excitement never dies. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still young, foolish and weird :). (and good looking, might I add) I’d like to share a few things with you on what I have learnt being a part of this very prestigious program that I am so unworthy of. Never aim to be an MVP. Let it be a consequence of what you already are. Always be down to earth, just because you’re an MVP doesn’t mean you’re better than anyone else. The biggest reward of the MVP program, yes much bigger than the free top notch MSDN subscription, is the amazing interaction you will have with other fellow MVPs, and incredibly smart people in the community in general. Get involved in the community, for your own sake! You will learn so much from your peers, it is a very very rewarding experience. Learn, Learn and Learn! Never under estimate the power of knowledge. Both technical and otherwise. I thank each one of you for all the attention you have given me over the past many years. And a very special thanks to my MVP lead, Melissa Travers, and my previous MVP lead Rafael Munoz (who isn’t with Microsoft anymore, but I am sure is kicking butt wherever he is). We are truly entering a very very exciting time in the technology space. Both Google and Apple are challenging Microsoft, forcing Microsoft to innovate at a pace like never before. Microsoft is coming out with an incredible amount of good, new and exciting stuff. Windows Mobile 7, Azure, .NET 4.0, Silverlight 4.0, IE9, and of course SharePoint 2010. The level of innovation in the tech industry is simply unprecedented. A truly exciting time for anyone who lives, breathes, sleeps and dreams of technology even when awake! (Like me!) As you know, I’ve been working on my SP2010 book lately. I’m happy to also inform that the book is DONE. WOOHOO!! :). So this means, I’ll have more time to blog, and cause more trouble in general. Since I'm new in the freelancing field, I was wondering how much you would charge for a junior programmer to do some work. Like many, I've started freelancing for website. I'm doing pretty much all the work (design, programming, finding hosting/domain). I would like to give details to my client in order for them to know how much cost every part involved in website development. How much should I charge? Charing a hourly rate or a price for the whole project? How you did it and why? Thanks

Just to verify - the exception is thrown from the commit() isn't it?   • Subprocess statement works in python console but not work in Serverdensity plugin?

    in the python console the following statement works perfectly fine (i guess using eval that way is not really good, but its just for testing purpose in this case and will be replaced with proper parsing) $ python >>> import subprocess >>> r = subprocess.Popen(['/home/kupferwerk/sd-agent-plugins/plugin1.rb'], stdout=subprocess.PIPE, close_fds=True).communicate()[0] >>> data = eval(r) >>> data {'test': 1} when i convert this into a Serverdensity plugin however it keeps crashing the agent.py daemon everytime it executes the plugin. i was able to narrow it down to the subprocess line but could not find out why. exception catching did not seem to work also. here how the plugin looks like: class plugin1: def run(self): r = subprocess.Popen(['/pathto/plugin1.rb'], stdout=subprocess.PIPE, close_fds=True).communicate()[0] data = eval(r) return data I'm quite new to work with python and cant really figure out why this wont work.   • Is it legal to have different SOAP namespaces/versions between the request and response?

    THIRD EDIT: I now believe that this problem is due to a SOAP version mismatch (1.1 request, 1.2 response) masquerading as a namespace problem. Is it illegal to mix versions, or just bad style? Am I completely out of luck if I can't change my SOAP version or the service's? SECOND EDIT: Clarified error message, and tried to reduce "tl;dr"-ness. EDIT: [Link deleted, not related] Using soapUI, I'm sending a request that starts with: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" ... and getting a response that starts with: <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" ... I know the service is getting the info, because processes down the line are working. However, my soapUI teststep fails. It has two active assertions: "SOAP Response" and "Not SOAP Fault." The failure marker is next to "SOAP Response," with the following message: line -1: Element Envelope@http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope is not a valid Envelope@http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ document or a valid substitution. I have tried mixing and matching the namespace prefixes and schema URLs. Changing prefixes seems to have no effect; changing URLs causes a VersionMismatch error. I have also tried to use a substitution group, but that doesn't seem to be legal.

  • SQLite INTERSECT gives a huge performance decrease

    I have a query that runs in less than 1 ms: SELECT product_to_value.category AS category, features.name AS featurename, featurevalues.name AS valuename FROM product_to_value, features, featurevalues WHERE product_to_value.category IN(:int, :bla, :bla1) AND product_to_value.feature = features.int AND product_to_value.value = featurevalues.int LIMIT 10 However, when I combine it with another query using INTERSECT, the query now takes more than 250ms: SELECT product_to_value.category AS category, features.name AS featurename, featurevalues.name AS valuename FROM product_to_value, features, featurevalues WHERE product_to_value.category IN(:int, :bla, :bla1) AND product_to_value.feature = features.int AND product_to_value.value = featurevalues.int INTERSECT SELECT product_to_value.category AS category, features.name AS featurename, featurevalues.name AS valuename FROM product_to_value, features, featurevalues WHERE product_to_value.category IN(:int, :bla, :bla1) AND product_to_value.feature = features.int AND product_to_value.value = featurevalues.int LIMIT 10 This can't be right. I've tried several index combinations, for example an index on all columns I use in my query, but to no avail. I've tried compound indexes as well, but they only slow things down even more. I have read a few things about SQLite and how it treats indexes. I know SQLite is capable of delivering sick performance, and surely I must be overlooking something.

    Hi All, Is it possible to bind a label content to two values. For eg, I want a single label whose content is displayed as below, UserName= Firstname, Lastname where Firstname and Lastname, both are values from database. If I would be using to labels I would bind as Content={Binding Firstname} for one and Content={Binding Lastname} for another. But I want a single label to display both. Is it possible?

  • How do I keep existing values from shifting to the right when entering keypresses into a jQuery Mask

    I have a text box I'm using as a timer display "hh:mm:ss" When I select the box and press a number, it inserts the number at the cursor location, but instead of replacing the value at that position, it shifts all existing values over. For example, the timer text box reads "01:00:35" and I replace the first minute position with 1, the timer text box will then read "01:10:03." Anybody know how to force the text box to replace, instead of insert, at the cursor position? I've tried intercepting onKeyPress, doing the replace manually, rewriting the entire timer text, and then returning false. But, that doesn't worked with a jQuery masked input, because my function runs first.

    HAy, i have an array Array( [0] => Array ( [0] => 33 [user_id] => 33 [1] => 3 [frame_id] => 3 ) [1] => Array ( [0] => 33 [user_id] => 33 [1] => 3 [frame_id] => 3 ) [2] => Array ( [0] => 33 [user_id] => 33 [1] => 8 [frame_id] => 8 ) [3] => Array ( [0] => 33 [user_id] => 33 [1] => 3 [frame_id] => 3 ) [4] => Array ( [0] => 33 [user_id] => 33 [1] => 3 [frame_id] => 3 ) ) As you can see key 0 is the same as 1,3 and 4. And key 2 is different from them all. When running the array_unique function on them, the only left is Array ( [0] => Array ( [0] => 33 [user_id] => 33 [1] => 3 [frame_id] => 3 ) ) any ideas why array_unique isn't working as expected?

    I want to my make a search-statement and query things like this select * from table where col like '%vkvk%' But with trial and error I've come to the conclusion that access doesn't work with LIKE or wildcard operators. Does anybody have some other solutions because I ain't so in to access actually, so I really don't know.

  • shared memory STL maps

    Hello, I am writing an Apache module in C++. I need to store the common data that all childs need to read as a portion of shared memory. Structure is kind of map of vectors, so I want to use STL map and vectors for it. I have written a shared allocator and a shared manager for the purpose, they work fine for vectors but not for maps, below is the example: typedef vector<CustomersData, SharedAllocator<CustomersData> > CustomerVector; CustomerVector spData; //this one works fine typedef SharedAllocator< pair< const int, CustomerVector > > PairAllocator; typedef map< int, CustomerVector, less<int>, PairAllocator > SharedMap; SharedMap spIndex; //this one doesn't work I get compile time errors when I try to use the second object (spIndex), which are someting like: ../SpatialIndex.h:97: error: '((SpatialIndex*)this)-SpatialIndex::spIndex' does not have class type It looks like the compiler cannot determine a type for SharedMap template type, which is strange in my opinion, it seems to me that all the template parameters have been specified.   • C++ MFC server app with sockets crashes and I cannot find the fault, help!

    My program has one dialog and two sockets. Both sockets are derived from CAsyncSocket, one is for listening, other is for receiving data from client. My program crashes when client tries to connect to server application and server needs to initialize receiving socket. This is my MFC dialog class. class CFileTransferServerDlg : public CDialog { ... ListeningSocket ListenSock; ReceivingSocket* RecvSock; void OnAccept(); // called when ListenSock gets connection attempt ... }; This is my derived socket class for receiving data that calls parent dialogs method when event is signaled. class ReceivingSocket : public CAsyncSocket { CFileTransferServerDlg* m_pDlg; // for accessing parent dialogs controls virtual void OnReceive(int nErrorCode); } ReceivingSocket::ReceivingSocket() { } This is dialogs function that handles incoming connection attempt when listening socket gets event notification. This is where the crash happens. void CFileTransferServerDlg::OnAccept() { RecvSock = new ReceivingSocket; /* CRASH */ } OR void CFileTransferServerDlg::OnAccept() { ReceivingSocket* tmpSock = new ReceivingSocket; tmpSock->SetParentDlg(this); CString message; if( ListenSock.Accept(*tmpSock) ) /* CRASH */ { message.LoadStringW(IDS_CLIENT_CONNECTED); m_txtStatus.SetWindowTextW(message); RecvSock = tmpSock; } } My program crashes when I try to create a socket for receiving file sent from client application. OnAccept starts when Listening socket signals incoming connection attempt, but my application then crashes. I've tried running it on another computer and connection attempt was succesful. What could be wrong? Error in debug mode: Unhandled exception at 0x009c30e1 in FileTransferServer.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0xccccce58.

  • How to Load In Content with jQuery?

    Hello, I am trying to add ajax functionality to my pagination so the content loads in the same page instead of the user having to navigate to another page when clicking the page links.
