  • Tracing all events in VB.NET

    I keep running into situations where I don't know what event I have to listen to in order to execute my code at the correct time. Is there any way to get a log of all events that is raised? Any way to filter that log based on what object raised the event?   • How to totally uninstall Adobe Flash CS4 from mac computer

    I've installed a trial of Adobe Flash CS4 (i didn't use this trial till the end) and wrongly entered the expired license number. I ran uninstall and tried to install a trial version again. Seems, that it keeps somewhere the wrong serial number and each time i run the Flash application it alerts me, that the license has expired. How do i properly install the trial? Do i have a chance at all? Thanks a lot!

  • How to use PHP fgetcsv to create an array for each piece of data in csv file?

    I'm trying to import data from a csv file to some html code to use it in a graph I have already coded. I'm trying to use PHP and fgetcsv to create arrays for each separate piece of data to use PHP to put it into the html code. I know how to open the csv file and to print it using PHP, and how to print each separate row, but not each piece of data separated by a comma. Is there a way to do this? If this helps, this is the csv data I am trying to import.   • Compile a shared library statically

    I've got a shared library with some homemade functions, which I compile into my other programs, but I have to link the end program with all the libraries I have used to compile the static library. Here is an example: I have function foo in the library which requires a function from another library libbar.so. In my main program to use function foo I have to compile it with the -lbar flag. Is there a way I can compile my library statically so it includes all the required code from the other libraries, and I can compile my end program without needing the -lbar flag? Cheers

  • Trying to get a json result back from method in another namespace, having issues

    I have a seperate .js file and namespace for json requests. I have another .js file and namespace for the actual logic.   • Unable to use .xjb file inside wsdlc ant task

    Hi, I have a requirement of customize the default conversion provided by JAXB. For the xs:date type we need to show only the date part(removing the time). I have created an .xjb file and used the xjc command to generate the required classes. This is working perfectly and I got the desired results. Since in our project we create the web service jars using ant I tried to include it inside the wsdlc ant task I get the error as: dateFormatter.xjb is not a xsd config file. <target name="generate-service-from-wsdl" depends="validate-weblogic, clean"> <taskdef name="wsdlc" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.WsdlcTask" /> <wsdlc srcWsdl="${sourceWsdl}/My_Gateway.wsdl" verbose="on" destJwsDir="${targetDir}" destImplDir="${targetDir}/impl" packageName="${servicePackage}" > <xsdConfig dir="wsdls/xjb" includes="dateFormatter.xjb"/> </wsdlc> </target> I am using Weblogic 9.2 and tried the using Weblogic 10.3 jar using the binding tag instead of xsdConfig.   • send socket c ctrl+c behavior

    I'm witting an application based on a server and various client but I'm having a problem with the send command. Whenever I do ctrl+c on the client side the send operation kills the thread which is in and the process running (in order to have multiple clients I set a thread to which one). If the client ends (doing the close socket) properly the server doesn't die, but when I use the ctrl+c combination on the client both exit. What can I do to prevent send commando to have this behavior? Thx in advance

    My servers are currently running IIS 7 (windows 2008). Is there any way to get IIS 7.5 without upgrading to 2008 R2? The reason I ask is that they are 32 bit servers and there is no upgrade path from 32 bit 2008 to 2008 R2.

  • Network Monitoring Tool Recommendation

    Hello, My company is looking for a monitoring app/tool that would allow us to capture and graph statistics on network performance. As a starting point, we would like to ping remote host(s) and gateway(s) from several of our servers, grab an average of the ping times from each of our servers to the remote host(s), and then graph it (preferably in a central location). Also, we would like to be able to graph the results for time frames as short as a week to as long as 6 months. It is reasonable to expect that we would ask more of the selected monitoring app/tool as we come up with other key network performance indicators in the future. So an app with great flexibility and features would be ideal. Upon first glance, Cacti looks like it might be a fit. Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance for any input.

  • How to diagnose Internal Server error on Lighttpd?

    I have Lighttpd on Centos 5 with Fcgi and Memcached. Periodically, once per week or two i get internal server error 500 and i must manually restart lighttpd to get it to work again. In my lighttpd config I've defined error log file: server.errorlog = "/home/lxadmin/httpd/lighttpd/error.log" But when I open it, it has no rows for last days, only one month ago. So my question is how to diagnose what is the issue and how to enable error log for my configuration?

  • Install Visual Studio 2010 on SSD drive, or HDD for better performance?

    I'm going to be installing Visual Studio 2010. I already have my source code on the SSD. For best performance, especially time to open the solution and compiling time, would it be better to install VS 2010 on the SSD or install it on the HDD. If both were on the SSD, loading the VS 2010 files would be quicker, but there would be contention between loading the source and the program files. Thanks!

    Is there a way to automatically deploy .net 4 using Active Directory group policy or WSUS? I want to push it out to lots of machines without having to go around to each one. Background: I have a VSTO ClickOnce application I want to deploy to non-admin users, but it uses .net 4, which won't install without admin rights, so ClickOnce fails for non-admins unless .net 4 is already installed.

    I've read the Red Hat Knowledgebase article "How do I configure kexec/kdump on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5?" at http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/docs/DOC-6039 and http://prefetch.net/blog/index.php/2009/07/06/using-kdump-to-get-core-files-on-fedora-and-centos-hosts/ The crashkernel=128M@16M kernel parameter works fine for me in a RHEL 6.0 beta VM, but not on the RHEL 5.5 hosts I've tried. dmesg shows me: Memory for crash kernel (0x0 to 0x0) notwithin permissible range disabling kdump Here's the line from grub.conf: kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-194.3.1.el5 ro root=/dev/md2 console=ttyS0,115200 panic=15 rhgb quiet crashkernel=128M@16M How do I make kdump use a permissible range of memory for the crash kernel?

  • Reading data from an open HTTP stream

    Hi, I am trying to use the .NET WebRequest/WebResponse classes to access the Twitter streaming API here "http://stream.twitter.com/spritzer.json". I need to be able to open the connection and read data incrementally from the open connection. Currently, when I call WebRequest.GetResponse method, it blocks until the entire response is downloaded. I know there is a BeginGetResponse method, but this will just do the same thing on a background thread. I need to get access to the response stream while the download is still happening. This just does not seem possible to me with these classes. There is a specific comment about this in the Twitter documentation: "Please note that some HTTP client libraries only return the response body after the connection has been closed by the server. These clients will not work for accessing the Streaming API. You must use an HTTP client that will return response data incrementally. Most robust HTTP client libraries will provide this functionality. The Apache HttpClient will handle this use case, for example." They point to the Appache HttpClient, but that doesn't help much because I need to use .NET. Any ideas whether this is possible with WebRequest/WebResponse, or do I have to go for lower level networking classes? Maybe there are other libraries that will allow me to do this? Thx Allen

    Hello, I've been using std::string's == operator for years on windows and linux. Now I am compiling one of my libraries on linux, it uses == heavily. On linux the following function fails, because the == returns false even when the strings are equal (case sensitive wise equal) const Data* DataBase::getDataByName( const std::string& name ) const { for ( unsigned int i = 0 ; i < m_dataList.getNum() ; i++ ) { if ( m_dataList.get(i)->getName() == name ) { return m_dataList.get(i); } } return NULL; } The getName() method is declared as follows virtual const std::string& getName() const; I am building with gcc 4.4.1 and libstdc++44-4.4.1. Any ideas? it looks perfectly valid to me. Paul
