  • Android - getTabHost() is undefined

    I started learning Java and how to program for Android last night :) So far I'm on this tutorial: developer.android.com/resources/tutorials/views/hello-tabwidget.html Clearly these tutorials have been designed for people that already have experience with Java. Despite the tutorial lacking all the required steps (for an absolute beginner with Java) and even having a typo, it seems I've figured everything out (which I'm really proud of :p). Except I cannot figure out how to fix TabHost tabHost = getTabHost(); which apparently is undefined. I have one other error shown in the linked image below, but I don't see why.     I have to create an "Expires" value 5 minutes in the future, but I have to supply it in UNIX Timestamp format. I have this so far, but it seems like a hack. def expires(): '''return a UNIX style timestamp representing 5 minutes from now''' epoch = datetime.datetime(1970, 1, 1) seconds_in_a_day = 60 * 60 * 24 five_minutes = datetime.timedelta(seconds=5*60) five_minutes_from_now = datetime.datetime.now() + five_minutes since_epoch = five_minutes_from_now - epoch return since_epoch.days * seconds_in_a_day + since_epoch.seconds Is there a module or function that does the timestamp conversion for me?

  • Bookmarkable URL in JSF application - Trying to use Spring Webflow and JSF . Any suggestions ?

Currently the url is in following format http://www.skill-guru.com/skill/login/testDetails.faces?testId=62&testName=PMP-Certification-practice-test We want a clean url like http://www.skill-guru.com/urltitle?some parameter One of the ways we could do this is through integration with Spring webflow with JSF. Any other suggestions ? We are trying Spring webflow 1.0 with JSF 2.0 but that does not seem to work.

We can't use captcha or other techniques like that because this is before we even ask for human input, basically we are logging page hits and we would like to only log page hits by humans. Is there a list of known bot IP out there? Does checking known bot user-agents work?

  • iphone: is there any secure way to establish 2-way SSL from an application

    Hi I need to establish a HTTPS 2-way SSL connection from my iPhone application to the customer's server. However I don't see any secure way to deliver the client side certificates to the application (it's an e-banking app, so security is really an issue). From what I have found so far the only way that the app would be able to access the certificate is to provide it pre-bundeled with the application itself, or expose an URL from which it could be fetched (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2037172/iphone-app-with-ssl-client-certs). The thing is that neither of this two ways prevent some third party to get the certificate, which if accepted as a risk eliminates the need for 2-way SSL (since anyone can have the client certificate). The whole security protocol should look like this: - HTTPS 2-way SSL to authenticate the application - OTP (token) based user registration (client side key pair generated at this step) - SOAP / WSS XML-Signature (requests signed by the keys generated earlier) Any idea on how to establish the first layer of security (HTTPS) ? regards

    I was just poking around in /usr/bin and I found an ELF binary file called [. /usr/bin/[. I have never heard of this file and my first thought was that it was a clever way of hiding a program, possibly a trojan. However it's present on all my CentOS servers and seems to have no manual entry. I can hazard a guess as to what it is but I was looking for a more authoritative answer...

  • Stereo mix causing inaudible input in XP?

    I'm trying to record some of my work process in Camtasia using the stereo mix input. However, my headset microphone is quiet at the best of times, and no matter what combination of input and output volume settings I use, my voice is consistently inaudible. Know of a good fix for this? Should I be looking for a decent audio mixer--and if so, do you know of one that's as effective as it is free?

    I want to get list of all words from aspell dictionary. I downloaded aspell and aspell polish dictionary, then unziped it using: preunzip pl.cwl I got pl.wl: ... hippie hippies hippiesowski/bXxYc hippika/MNn hippis/NOqsT hippisiara/MnN hippiska/mMN hippisowski/bXxYc ... but they appear with sufix like /bXxYc or /MNn. These suffixes are defined in pl_affix.dat, which looks like ... SFX n Y 5 SFX n a 0 [^ij]a SFX n ja yj [^aeijoóuy]ja SFX n a 0 [aeijoóuy]ja SFX n ia ij [^drt]ia SFX n ia yj [drt]ia ... It is connected to the declination and conjugation. How can I add to the first list all forms (with all corresponding suffixes as defined in .dat file ) ? BTW: I need this list to spell-checker jazzy.

    The files can be accessed from every artifact, such as .bpel, .mplan, .task, .xsl, .wsdl etc., of the composite. 'oramds' protocol is used to access these files. You need to setup your adf-config.xml file in your dev environment or Jdeveloper to access these files from MDS. Here is the sample adf-config.xml. xmlns:sec="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/security/config" name="jdbc-url"/ name="metadata-path"/ credentialStoreLocation="../../src/META-INF/jps-config.xml"/ This adf-config.xml is located in directory named .adf/META-INF, which is in the application home of your project. Application home is the directory where .jws file of you application exists. Other than setting this file, you need not make any other changes in your project or composite to access MDS. After setting this up, you can create a new SOA-MDS connection in your Jdev. This enables you to have a resource pallet in which you can browse and choose the required file from MDS.

  • What are the files pushed to MDS?

    All files which are under AIAComponents will move to MDS. This contains EnterpriseObjectLibrary, EnterpriseBusinessServiceLibrary, ApplicationObjectLibrary, ApplicationBusinessServiceLibrary, B2BObjectLibrary, ExtensionServiceLibrary, and UtilityArtifacts. Also there are some common transformation (.xsl) files, which are kept under Transformations folder, moved to MDS. AIAConfigurationProperties.xml file will be there in MDS. Every cross reference (.xref) object will also be there. Every Domain value Map (.dvm) will also be there. Common fault policy, which by default included in composite during composite generation, if a user does not choose to customize fault policy. All these files are location under AIAMetaData directory and then placed in their respective folders. We are planning to put Error handling and BSR systems related data also to MDS.

But what happens if there is more than one submit button. I really have no idea how to ask this question. An example of such situation is on the logout page for this site. There are no fields to enter data into, but there are 2 submit buttons. How can I "simulate clicking" on one of those buttons using code like the above (so not using a UIWebView)

I have my complaints but... you know ;) A few of my macros are taking quite a while to complete and I am looking for a way to track progress. I build a log file during most of my macro processes but I have not found a good way to report progress without pausing the process. Ex. MsgBox("Progress") Any way to access the output window or even better the VS status bar?
