  • How to avoid malformed URI sequence error?

    - by Luci
I'm working with perl. I have data saved on database as  “ and I want to escape those characters to avoid having malformed URI sequence error on the client side. This error seems to happen on fire fox only. The fix I found while googling is not to use decodeURI , yet I need this for other characters to be displayed correctly. Any help? uri_escape does not seem enough on the server side. Thanks in advance. Detalils: In perl I'm doing the following: print "<div style='display:none;' id='summary_".$note_count."_note'>".uri_escape($summary)."</div>"; and on the java script side I want to read from this div and place it on another place as this: getObj('summary_div').innerHTML= unescape(decodeURI(note_obj.innerHTML)); where the note_obj is the hidden div that saved the summary on perl. When I remove decodeURI the problem is solved, I don't get malformed URI sequence error on java script. Yet I need to use decodeURI for other characters. This issue seems to be reproduced on firefox and IE7.

  • Banshee encountered a Fatal Error (sqlite error 11: database disk image is malformed)

    - by Nik
    I am running ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat, and recently I am helping in testing out indicator-weather using the unstable buids. However there was a bug which caused my system to freeze suddenly (due to indicator-weather not ubuntu) and the only way to recover is to do a hard reset of the system. This happened a couple of times. And when i tried to open banshee after a couple of such resets I get the following fatal error which forces me to quit banshee. The screenshot is not clear enough to read the error, so I am posting it below, An unhandled exception was thrown: Sqlite error 11: database disk image is malformed (SQL: BEGIN TRANSACTION; DELETE FROM CoreSmartPlaylistEntries WHERE SmartPlaylistID IN (SELECT SmartPlaylistID FROM CoreSmartPlaylists WHERE IsTemporary = 1); DELETE FROM CoreSmartPlaylists WHERE IsTemporary = 1; COMMIT TRANSACTION) at Hyena.Data.Sqlite.Connection.CheckError (Int32 errorCode, System.String sql) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Hyena.Data.Sqlite.Connection.Execute (System.String sql) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Hyena.Data.Sqlite.HyenaSqliteCommand.Execute (Hyena.Data.Sqlite.HyenaSqliteConnection hconnection, Hyena.Data.Sqlite.Connection connection) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. at System.Reflection.MonoCMethod.Invoke (System.Object obj, BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Reflection.MonoCMethod.Invoke (BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Reflection.ConstructorInfo.Invoke (System.Object[] parameters) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Activator.CreateInstance (System.Type type, Boolean nonPublic) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Activator.CreateInstance (System.Type type) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Banshee.Gui.GtkBaseClient.Startup () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Hyena.Gui.CleanRoomStartup.Startup (Hyena.Gui.StartupInvocationHandler startup) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 .NET Version: 2.0.50727.1433 OS Version: Unix 2.6.35.27 Assembly Version Information: gkeyfile-sharp (1.0.0.0) Banshee.AudioCd (1.9.0.0) Banshee.MiniMode (1.9.0.0) Banshee.CoverArt (1.9.0.0) indicate-sharp (0.4.1.0) notify-sharp (0.4.0.0) Banshee.SoundMenu (1.9.0.0) Banshee.Mpris (1.9.0.0) Migo (1.9.0.0) Banshee.Podcasting (1.9.0.0) Banshee.Dap (1.9.0.0) Banshee.LibraryWatcher (1.9.0.0) Banshee.MultimediaKeys (1.9.0.0) Banshee.Bpm (1.9.0.0) Banshee.YouTube (1.9.0.0) Banshee.WebBrowser (1.9.0.0) Banshee.Wikipedia (1.9.0.0) pango-sharp (2.12.0.0) Banshee.Fixup (1.9.0.0) Banshee.Widgets (1.9.0.0) gio-sharp (2.14.0.0) gudev-sharp (1.0.0.0) Banshee.Gio (1.9.0.0) Banshee.GStreamer (1.9.0.0) System.Configuration (2.0.0.0) NDesk.DBus.GLib (1.0.0.0) gconf-sharp (2.24.0.0) Banshee.Gnome (1.9.0.0) Banshee.NowPlaying (1.9.0.0) Mono.Cairo (2.0.0.0) System.Xml (2.0.0.0) Banshee.Core (1.9.0.0) Hyena.Data.Sqlite (1.9.0.0) System.Core (3.5.0.0) gdk-sharp (2.12.0.0) Mono.Addins (0.4.0.0) atk-sharp (2.12.0.0) Hyena.Gui (1.9.0.0) gtk-sharp (2.12.0.0) Banshee.ThickClient (1.9.0.0) Nereid (1.9.0.0) NDesk.DBus.Proxies (0.0.0.0) Mono.Posix (2.0.0.0) NDesk.DBus (1.0.0.0) glib-sharp (2.12.0.0) Hyena (1.9.0.0) System (2.0.0.0) Banshee.Services (1.9.0.0) Banshee (1.9.0.0) mscorlib (2.0.0.0) Platform Information: Linux 2.6.35-27-generic i686 unknown GNU/Linux Disribution Information: [/etc/lsb-release] DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=10.10 DISTRIB_CODENAME=maverick DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 10.10" [/etc/debian_version] squeeze/sid Just to make it clear, this happened only after the hard resets and not before. • Root certificate authority works windows/linux but not mac osx - (malformed)

    - by AKwhat
I have created a self-signed root certificate authority which if I install onto windows, linux, or even using the certificate store in firefox (windows/linux/macosx) will work perfectly with my terminating proxy. I have installed it into the system keychain and I have set the certificate to always trust. Within the chrome browser details it says "The certificate that Chrome received during this connection attempt is not formatted correctly, so Chrome cannot use it to protect your information. Error type: Malformed certificate" I used this code to create the certificate: openssl genrsa -des3 -passout pass:***** -out private/server.key 4096 openssl req -batch -passin pass:***** -new -x509 -nodes -sha1 -days 3600 -key private/server.key -out server.crt -config ../openssl.cnf If the issue is NOT that it is malformed (because it works everywhere else) then what else could it be? Am I installing it incorrectly? Update I tried changing the certificate attributes, but to no avail: openssl genrsa -des -passout pass:***** -out private/server.key 2048 openssl req -batch -passin pass:***** -new -x509 -nodes -sha256 -days 3600 -key private/server.key -out server.crt -config ../openssl.cnf

  • Web server connection to SQL Server: Response Packet [Malformed Packet]

    - by John Murdoch
I am seeing very, very sluggish performance between my web server (which handles HTTP web services connections) and a separate server running Microsoft SQL Server 2008. I have been capturing packet traffic on the web server trying to understand why things are running so slowly. I am using Wireshark to capture the packet traffic. The apparent problem is that the web server is sending TDS packets to the data server--each packet followed by a response from the data server with Response Packet [Malformed Packet] in the Info field. The packet sent from the web server appears to have an invalid checksum. Has anyone seen this type of problem before? Any ideas?

  • HtmlAgilityPack giving problems with malformed html

    - by Kapil
I want to extract meaningful text out of an html document and I was using html-agility-pack for the same. Here is my code: string convertedContent = HttpUtility.HtmlDecode(ConvertHtml(HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlEntity.DeEntitize(htmlAsString))); ConvertHtml: public string ConvertHtml(string html) { HtmlDocument doc = new HtmlDocument(); doc.LoadHtml(html); StringWriter sw = new StringWriter(); ConvertTo(doc.DocumentNode, sw); sw.Flush(); return sw.ToString(); } ConvertTo: public void ConvertTo(HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlNode node, TextWriter outText) { string html; switch (node.NodeType) { case HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlNodeType.Comment: // don't output comments break; case HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlNodeType.Document: foreach (HtmlNode subnode in node.ChildNodes) { ConvertTo(subnode, outText); } break; case HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlNodeType.Text: // script and style must not be output string parentName = node.ParentNode.Name; if ((parentName == "script") || (parentName == "style")) break; // get text html = ((HtmlTextNode)node).Text; // is it in fact a special closing node output as text? if (HtmlNode.IsOverlappedClosingElement(html)) break; // check the text is meaningful and not a bunch of whitespaces if (html.Trim().Length > 0) { outText.Write(HtmlEntity.DeEntitize(html) + " "); } break; case HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlNodeType.Element: switch (node.Name) { case "p": // treat paragraphs as crlf outText.Write("\r\n"); break; } if (node.HasChildNodes) { foreach (HtmlNode subnode in node.ChildNodes) { ConvertTo(subnode, outText); } } break; } } Now in some cases when the html pages are malformed (for example the following page - http://rareseeds.com/cart/products/Purple_of_Romagna_Artichoke-646-72.html has a malformed meta-tag like <meta content="text/html; charset=uft-8" http-equiv="Content-Type">) [Note "uft" instead of utf] my code is puking at the time I am trying to load the html document. Can someone suggest me how can I overcome these malformed html pages and still extract relevant text out of a html document? Thanks, Kapil

Am I installing it incorrectly? To be clear: Within the windows/linux OS, all browsers work perfectly. Within mac only firefox works if it uses its internal certificate store and not the keychain. It's the keychain method of importing a certificate that causes the issue. Thus, all browsers using the keychain will not work. • Ideal Java library for cleaning html, and escaping malformed fragments

    - by Tyler
I've got some HTML files that need to be parsed and cleaned, and they occasionally have content with special characters like <, , ", etc. which have not been properly escaped. I have tried running the files through jTidy, but the best I can get it to do is just omit the content it sees as malformed html. Is there a different library that will just escape the malformed fragments instead of omitting them? If not, any recommendations on what library would be easiest to modify? Clarification: Sample input: <p> blah blah <M+1> blah </p> Desired output: <p> blah blah &lt;M+1&gt; blah </p>

  • Processing a log to fix a malformed IP address ?.?.?.x

    - by skymook
I would like to replace the first character 'x' with the number '7' on every line of a log file using a shell script. Example of the log file: 216.129.119.x [01/Mar/2010:00:25:20 +0100] "GET /etc/.... 74.131.77.x [01/Mar/2010:00:25:37 +0100] "GET /etc/.... 222.168.17.x [01/Mar/2010:00:27:10 +0100] "GET /etc/.... My humble beginnings... #!/bin/bash echo Starting script... cd /Users/me/logs/ gzip -d /Users/me/logs/access.log.gz echo Files unzipped... echo I'm totally lost here to process the log file and save it back to hd... exit 0 Why is the log file IP malformed like this? My web provider (1and1) has decide not to store IP address, so they have replaced the last number with the character 'x'. They told me it was a new requirement by 'law'. I personally think that is bs, but that would take us off topic. I want to process these log files with AWstats, so I need an IP address that is not malformed. I want to replace the x with a 7, like so: 216.129.119.7 [01/Mar/2010:00:25:20 +0100] "GET /etc/.... 74.131.77.7 [01/Mar/2010:00:25:37 +0100] "GET /etc/.... 222.168.17.7 [01/Mar/2010:00:27:10 +0100] "GET /etc/.... Not perfect I know, but least I can process the files, and I can still gain a lot of useful information like country, number of visitors, etc. The log files are 200MB each, so I thought that a shell script is the way to go because I can do that rapidly on my Macbook Pro locally. Unfortunately, I know very little about shell scripting, and my javascript skills are not going to cut it this time. I appreciate your help.

  • QueryString malformed after URLDecode

    - by pdavis
I'm trying to pass in a Base64 string into a C#.Net web application via the QueryString. When the string arrives the "+" (plus) sign is being replaced by a space. It appears that the automatic URLDecode process is doing this. I have no control over what is being passed via the QueryString. Is there any way to handle this server side? Example: http://localhost:3399/Base64.aspx?VLTrap=VkxUcmFwIHNldCB0byAiRkRTQT8+PE0iIHBsdXMgb3IgbWludXMgNSBwZXJjZW50Lg== Produces: VkxUcmFwIHNldCB0byAiRkRTQT8 PE0iIHBsdXMgb3IgbWludXMgNSBwZXJjZW50Lg== People have suggested URLEncoding the querystring: System.Web.HttpUtility.UrlEncode(yourString) I can't do that as I have no control over the calling routine (which is working fine with other languages). There was also the suggestion of replacing spaces with a plus sign: Request.QueryString["VLTrap"].Replace(" ", "+"); I had though of this but my concern with it, and I should have mentioned this to start, is that I don't know what other characters might be malformed in addition to the plus sign. My main goal is to intercept the QueryString before it is run through the decoder. To this end I tried looking at Request.QueryString.toString() but this contained the same malformed information. Is there any way to look at the raw QueryString before it is URLDecoded? After further testing it appears that .Net expects everything coming in from the QuerString to be URL encoded but the browser does not automatically URL encode GET requests.

Now when I run ruby script/server, or rake gems:install, the following error will occur: rake aborted! • Display Malformed HTML "Safely?"

    - by yar
Let's say I have some HTML like this: <ol><li>a knock at the door, I'll be back in a second which I display as inline HTML within a div that I produce. Is there any way to stop the inner, malformed HTML from screwing up the alignment of the entire document that comes after the HTML? I realize that intelligently parsing it is one option (since I do have it on the server side), but I'm looking for a lighter solution.

  • How to find malformed - corrupted - dos - BOMByte Files in Linux

    - by Syquus
I've several problems maintaining large production servers, in which some developers drop files from Windows environments, sometime with BOM-bytes (We use UTF8, and no need for that), causing lots of troubles. Other times, I got a "no end of line" and "[DOS]" labels when vim-editing files directly on the server. I recently discovered how to find for the bom byte, and how to delete it in a batch script. What about illegal bytes, bad EOLs? Is it safe to use DOS Text Files on a linux environment? Any drawbacks If I use to convert them with dos2unix cmd ? Regards

  • How to parse malformed HTML in python, using standard libraries

    - by bukzor
There are so many html and xml libraries built into python, that it's hard to believe there's no support for real-world HTML parsing. I've found plenty of great third-party libraries for this task, but this question is about the python standard library. Requirements: Use only Python standard library components (I'm currently using v2.6) DOM support Handle HTML entities (&nbsp;) Handle partial documents (like: Hello, <iWorld</i!) Bonus points: XPATH support Handle unclosed/malformed tags. (<bigdoes anyone here know <html ???

  • Batch convert Malformed PDFs to TIF on Linux

    - by Mike Driscoll
I need to convert a multipage PDF to TIF, but it appears to be a malformed PDF provided by our client. I tried using ImageMagick and GhostScript, but they do not convert the file correctly. The result is only about 85-90% correct. The only thing I've found that appears to do the job is GIMP, but I can't find an example to use it via its Batch Processing methods for PDFs. Here are the warnings I get from ImageMagick and GhostScript: **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: FORMS$.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: P06BOB.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN308E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: P06BOB.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN308E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: P06BOB.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN308E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN307A.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN104A.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN308E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN208E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN308E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN208E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: HE14BP.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN208E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN106E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN208E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN106E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN208E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: HE08BP.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: HE11BP.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: AR10NP.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN308E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: JIMP2.l Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: HS11C.l Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: FORMS$.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN104A.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN208E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** Warning: Tf refers to an unknown resource name: UN307E.f Assuming it's a font name. **** This file had errors that were repaired or ignored. **** Please notify the author of the software that produced this **** file that it does not conform to Adobe's published PDF **** specification. • Folder.Bind - "Id is malformed" - Exchange Web Services Managed API

    - by Michael Shimmins
I'm passing the Folder.Id.UniqueId property of a folder retrieved from a FindFolders query via the query string to another page. On this second page I want to use that UniqueId to bind to the folder to list its mail items: string parentFolderId = Request.QueryString["id"]; ... Folder parentFolder = Folder.Bind(exchangeService, parentFolderId); // do something with parent folder When I run this code it throws an exception telling me the Id is manlformed. I thought maybe it needs to be wrapped in a FolderId object: Folder parentFolder = Folder.Bind(exchangeService, new FolderId(parentFolderId)); Same issue. I've been searching for a while, and have found some suggestions about Base64/UTF8 conversion, but again that did not solve the problem. Anyone know how to bind to a folder with a given unique id?

  • Malformed Farsi characters on AWT

    - by jlover2010
Hi As i started programming by jdk6, i had no problem in text components neither in awt nor in swing. But for labels or titles of awt components, yes : I couldn't have Farsi characters displayable on AWTs just as simple as Swing by typing them into the source code. lets check this SSCCE : import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.*; import java.io.*; import java.util.Properties; public class EmptyFarsiCharsOnAWT extends JFrame{ public EmptyFarsiCharsOnAWT() { super("????"); setDefaultCloseOperation(3); setVisible(rootPaneCheckingEnabled); } public static void main(String[] args) throws AWTException, IOException { JFrame jFrame = new EmptyFarsiCharsOnAWT(); MenuItem show ; // approach 1 = HardCoding : /* show = new MenuItem("\u0646\u0645\u0627\u06cc\u0634"); * */ // approach 2 = using simple utf-8 saved text file : /* BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader("farsiLabels.txt")); String showLabel = in.readLine(); in.close(); show = new MenuItem(showLabel); * */ // approach 3 = using properties file : FileReader in = new FileReader("farsiLabels.properties"); Properties farsiLabels = new Properties(); farsiLabels.load(in); show = new MenuItem(farsiLabels.getProperty("tray.show")); PopupMenu popUp = new PopupMenu(); popUp.add(show); // creating Tray object Image iconIamge = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("greenIcon.png"); TrayIcon trayIcon = new TrayIcon(iconIamge, null, popUp); SystemTray tray = SystemTray.getSystemTray(); tray.add(trayIcon); jFrame.setIconImage(iconIamge); } } Yes, i know each of three approaches in source code does right when you may test it from IDE , but if you make a JAR contains just this class, by means of NetBeans project clean&build ,you won't see the expected characters and will just get EMPTY/BLANK SQUARES ! Unfortunately, opposed to other situations i encountered before, here there is no way to avoid using awt and make use of Swing in this case. And this was just an SSCCE i made to show the problem and my recent (also first) application suffers from this subject. Note: it seems i can not attach anything, so the contents od the text file would be this: ????? and the contents of properties file: #Sun May 02 09:45:10 IRDT 2010 tray.show=????? but i don't think by giving you the unicode-scape sequence, these would be necessary any way... And i think should have to let you know I posted this question a while ago in SDN and "the Java Ranch" forums and other native forums and still I'm watching... By the way i am using latest version of Netbeans IDE... I will be so grateful if anybody has a solution to this damn AWT components never rendered any Farsi character for me... Thanks in advance

  • need to clean malformed tags using regular expression

    - by Brian
Looking to find the appropriate regular expression for the following conditions: I need to clean certain tags within free flowing text. For example, within the text I have two important tags: <2004:04:12 and . Unfortunately some of tags have missing "<" or "" delimiter. For example, some are as follows: 1) <2004:04:12 , I need this to be <2004:04:12> 2) 2004:04:12>, I need this to be <2004:04:12> 3) <John Doe , I need this to be <John Doe> I attempted to use the following for situation 1: String regex = "<\\d{4}-\\d{2}-\\d{2}\\w*{2}[^>]"; String output = content.replaceAll(regex,"$0>"); This did find all instances of "<2004:04:12" and the result was "<2004:04:12 ". However, I need to eliminate the space prior to the ending tag. Not sure this is the best way. Any suggestions. Thanks

  • how can multiple trailing slashes can be removed from an url in Ruby

    - by splintercell
Hello, What i'm trying to achieve here is lets say we have two example urls: url1 "http://emy.dod.com/kaskaa/dkaiad/amaa//////////" & url2 = "http://www.example.com/". How can I extract the striped down urls? url1 : "http://emy.dod.com/kaskaa/dkaiad/amaa" & url2 to "http://http://www.example.com"? URI.parse in ruby sanitizes certain type of malformed url but is ineffective in this case. If we use regex then /^(.*)\/$/ removes a single slash (/) from url1 & is ineffective for url2. Is anybody aware of how to handle this type of url parsing? The point here is I dont want my system to have "http://www.example.com/" & "http://www.example.com" being treated as two different urls. And same goes for "http://emy.dod.com/kaskaa/dkaiad/amaa////" & "http://emy.dod.com/kaskaa/dkaiad/amaa/" cheers, -dg

  • Live Meeting error: malformed email address... or IS IT???

    - by PeterBrunone
During a remote SharePoint training session this morning, Live Meeting presented one of our instructors with the following gem:  "An attendee email address is malformed".  This was particularly troubling since a wizard took care of adding all the entries, and they looked correct (even after being sifted through my character analysis tool). As it turns out, the addresses were indeed correct.  As sometimes happens, though, at the line breaks, it looked like there was no space between the semicolon and the following email address.  Since I'm a member in good standing of the "I wonder what this button does" school of thought, I added an extra space after each of these cramped little semicolons -- and the invitation executed flawlessly.Coincidence?  Maybe... but you can bet I'm going to keep trying dumb stuff like that when the error message doesn't make sense.  Think of it as the tech support equivalent of "Ask a silly question..."

  • How do I fix "malformed line" errors in sources.list?

    - by david
I had problems with my movie player. The sound was fine but the picture seemed to hesitate or stick or pause every few seconds so I was looking for some help on how to do this. I tried to install a command in the terminal and got this message: E:Malformed line 68 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse) Can someone tell me how to fix this problem. I cannot open the software center or the update manager. The only other option I can think of is to wipe everything out and do a clean install. Thank you.
