  • Problem in implementing the Url Rewritting for a Zend Application

    Hello everyone, I am doing my first Zend Applicaition and I am finally done with the coding side. But the problem which I have is Client has asked to rewrite the Url's which follows the SEO and as I don't have much knowledge of the Zend Router,I am finding myself helpless this time. Please helo me out.The current Url which I have is... http://localhost.ZendProject.com/keywords/ball and Client needs it like http://localhost.ZendProject.com/keywords/ball and another Url (the search Url) http://localhost.ZendProject.com/search/trends?q=nishant+shrivastava&select=All&Search=Search and the Client wants is http://localhost.ZendProject.com/nishant-shrivastava Please help me out of this problem,because I am totally freaked out thinking of any solution and my mind is also not helping me out.

  • Attached Property port of my Window Close Behavior

    Nishant Sivakumar just posted a nice article on The Code Project.  It is a port of the MVVM-friendly Blend Behavior I wrote about in a previous article to WPF using Attached Properties. While similar to the WindowCloseBehavior code I posted on the Expression Code Gallery, Nishant Sivakumar’s version works in WPF without taking a dependency on the Expression Blend SDK. I highly recommend reading this article: Handling a Window’s Closed and Closing Events in the View-Model.  It is a very nice alternative approach to this common problem in MVVM.

  • Securing Files over Web: Fine Grained Authorization Based File Access

    I have a system where employees can upload files. There are three ways Upload to my account in public, private or protected mode Upload to department account in public, private or protected mode Upload to organization account in public, private or protected mode where public is visible to anyone, private to the group or person only and protected to anyone in the organization. All the files for an organization are stored in a directory say, /files/<organizationId>/, on file server like files +-- 234809 | +img1.jpg | +doc1.pdf +-- 808234 | +doc2.pdf I am storing file-path and privacy level in DB. So, I can control whether to show link to a file URL to an user -- on a given page. The problem is, I do not have any control over file's URL... so, if some one types the URL to img1.jpg in his browser's address bar, there is no way to know whether a logged in user is eligible to see img1.jpg.     I am trying to extract information from the call log of the android. I am getting the call date that is one month back from the actual time of call. I mean to say that the information extracted by my code for the date of call is one mont back than the actual call date. I have the following in the Emulator: I saved a contact. Then I made a call to the contact. Code: I have 3 ways of extracting call Date information but getting the same wrong result.   • How to modify grub entry for supporting KGDB kernel image?

    I am trying to update target m/c grub.cfg file for KGDB setup but while booting the m/c it got hung completely and not asking/waiting for remote gdb connection.   • Error while installing Ubuntu 12.04 on Windows 7

    Today I tried installing Ubuntu 12 thru wubi.exe. After some time I came across this error and installation stopped. Exception: Error executing command command=C:\Windows\sysnative\bcdedit.exe /set {c7742083-ac81-11e1-ade2-fa13d4cedcff} device partition=E: retval=1 stderr=An error has occurred setting the element data. The request is not supported. Please help on this error and guide accordingly.

    We have purchased a Dell Optiplex 9010 SSFV for our organization's work. Since the first installation two of the USB keyboard keys were not working properly. I had to press those keys two times simultaneously, on first time keys did not work and for for second time it printed two characters (as it were buffering first character.) Two keys that were not working properly: Hexangrave (Below the ESC key: `) Double Quotes (Left the enter key ") We registered our complaint with DELL and they suggested (with some hard to understand and weird ENGLISH accent) some test and tricks, such as switching to different ports, checking keyboard on different PC, and it worked well with diff. PC(with Windows 7 Home Premium installed). It was clear that it is an OS fault, hence they suggested to re-install OS. Problem began here, we have a project on the run and currently a video editing project setup on our system, so can't re-install system in hurry and also DELL persons were not providing any other solution such as updating keyboard driver, etc. Arguments I am a Software Engg. and don't think it is a feasible solution to re-install entire system for simple problems. This prob is coming since the fresh system installation, so I don't think it will solve the problem. Finally, I had to find solution myself and got it here, now I want to show my disappointment to dell persons or at least tell them that they should improve there support system to not advice to re-install entire system for that simple problems. Notes We have purchased 5 years NEXT business day support from DELL for around 8000 INR (Not for that kind of solutions from DELL). It is Dell India Support System. So can anyone tell me how to tackle dell support system officially, so that they will pay more attention in near future. Thanks

    I could PXE boot this laptop to some extent yesterday but all of a sudden after some time it started to show this error message . I reinstalled my tftp server etc in between .     I am planning to buy laptop for parts/repair from Ebay to replace by broken LCD of Compaq presario v2000 . I know the monitor is 14" WXGA and LTNW140-l01 model made by samsung . I have removed the LCD panel and I can see 2 cables , one power and other video signal Can I buy a 14.1" LAPTOP and fit to this ? 14.1 WXGA seems very common . Please can any one tell which all laptops can replace this monitor ? I know HP DV 1000 does ? Any advices would be great .

    Please explain the error in this screenshot DHCP Setting: This screenshot was taken after powering off the old comp hence he server interface is shown as the wireless card - it becomes 192.168.0.1 when I connect wires and power up the old laptop to boot via PXE. My scenario is simple. An old laptop and a new laptop . A cross over cable ( that I myself made from CAT 6 cable by cutting it and connecting 4 wires as mentioned in some doc).     I am attaching a few pics of my laptop monitor now . Can you please tell me if this is a hardware error which can be rectified by replacing the monitor ? How this happened - I accidently hit my leg on the laptop and jammed it against the wall and ever since the monitor is like this .I plan to replace the Monitor by buying a spare parts laptop that sells in ebay . I wonder if this is a LCD HARDWARE problem or problem with the cable that goes to the monitor . What should I check ? What is the barrier in sending info if we both have a common gateway that is pingable ? Besides I can login to a intermediate server and ssh to this server also !!

    How do I check if a LUN has been presented to my server? What are the Linux commands for that? Do the LUNs show up in a fdisk -l command like a normal /dev/sda gets listed? What are other commands associated with general SAN related checks in Linux? What is WWN and how does that have any relevance? If we have LUNs, what is the use of multipathing? Bit lengthy but I am not able to get a grasp on the topic. Any help would be appreciated.
