  • Dinamically creating a member ID card as pdf using PHP?

    I need to code a PHP script that would let me generate a pdf file which displays a member ID card (something like a credit card used to identify oneself) at a certain resolution. Let me explain: I do have the basic blueprint of the card in png file format. The script needs to drop in a member's name and birth day along with a serial. So far, no problem - there are plenty of good working PHP librarys out there. My problem is to ensure that the resulting pdf (the generated image of the card, to be precise) meets a certain resolution (preferably 300dpi), so that printing it would look right. Any ideas?   • Good tools which generate NUnit unit tests for .NET assemblies in Visual Studio 2008

    Hey guys, I'm pretty new to Unit Testing so bare with me. I realize that best best practice is not to auto generate unit tests, however I'd like to use Code Generation to set-up the basic skeleton of the tests. Now, I know Visual Studio 2008 already has the built in "create tests", however, it just creates a flat list of all the classes it's going to test... and it's not for NUnit right? Ideally, I'd like the code generation to follow the folder AND namespace structure of the assembly its generating tests for. Can you guys recommend any good tools which generate NUnit unit tests for .NET assemblies in Visual Studio 2008? cheers!

It works very well for me. I was wondering if there was a similar algorithm to generate radial gradients. By similar, I mean one that solves for color at point P rather than solve for P at a certain color (where P is the coordinate you are painting). Thanks

    I have a fairly large CSS file developed by my web designer. There are, of course, plenty of IDs, classes and tag properties assigned therein. Are there any tools to automatically generate HTML based on a CSS source file? For example: #basicInfoHead{ background:url(../images/leftHeaders.jpg) no-repeat; margin-left: 0px; width:185px; height:28px; } #basicInfoHead span{ float: left; } Would generate <div id=basicInfoHead><span>#basicInfoHead span</span></div> Etc etc. From there, I could preview the generated code in my browser, and see what each of the individual (primarily text) styles would look like.     Hey all, I know that this error has been discussed elsewhere on the web, and this may seem like a stupid question, but I've got a very strange situation on my hands here. I'm running on Snow Leopard, with fully updated ruby and rails gems. I created a new rails project (ruby new testing), then navigated into that folder (cd ~/testing), and tried to create a basic scaffolding (ruby script/generate scaffold newtest name:string), and I got this error back: "ruby: No such file or directory -- script/generate (LoadError)" I have searched google thoroughly and tried to implement every solution that I could, but nothing has been working. I don't understand why I have this error or how to fix it. Can anyone help me, please?

    Hello everybody I am in a crucial project and I am trying to speed up the development phase by using codesmith for generating the business class DAL and info class for the tables of my project. There are about 50 tables with relationships parent child many to many and for retrieving data I have to code several inner joins in stored procedures. I have to combine fields from many tables and this makes working with the info class difficult. Is there anyway to generate info class from stored procedures or to be more exact is there a way to parse the result set of the stored procedure and to generate the info class with properties for every column in that result set. Please if anyone can give me some advice and tell me how to achieve this. Best Regards

So far I manage to send them to the server correctly but the xml is static. I am looking for a way to insert dynamic/random values into the XML and then send it to the server. I tried to change from simpleType to compleType and wsdl2py generate python code without problem. In this way i can't be able to use card_number in my python object. Thanks for helping.

    Hello, Is there any other free alternatives to PHPliveDocx? I would like to create a Word document based on templates and user inputted data. The template will resides on the server and the client(online or c# windows application) will be used to collect user input. Once data has been collected, server-side script(PHP) will be used to generate a Word document. So far I have only found phplivedocx. However I'm not very comfortable at consuming web services from a server that I have no control over with (am I worrying too much?). I have also thought about using client to do the work (c# windows application, Open Office XML). But I'm not sure that's the right way of doing things. Any guidance/help will be really appreciated!     Hi, I want to use spring ws to create the webservice client. I have seen some documentation. In all using jaxb marshalling and unmarshalling. But to start of need to create java classes from xsd. I tried to download the elcipse plugin for this. The location in java.net is not showing any thing to download. Sourceforce net showing the link to download. But that plugin is not working. I have tried wsimport, but it is generating only .classes? My question is if i want to use spring ws, is it required to generate .java classes? If so where can i find the elipse plugin or how to generate the classes? Is there any other way we can do without generating these classes?

    I am able to auto-generate a SQL Server CE 4.0 *.sdf file using code-first generation as explained by Scott Guthrie here. The connection string for the same is as follows: <add name="NerdDinners" providerName="System.Data.SqlServerCe.4.0" connectionString="data source=|DataDirectory|NerdDinner.sdf"/> However if I try to generate an mdf instead using the following connection string, it fails to do so with the following error - "The provider did not return a ProviderManifestToken string.". <add name="NerdDinners" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" connectionString="data source=|DataDirectory|NerdDinner.mdf"/> Even directly hooking into a SQLEXPRESS instance using the following connection string fails <add name="NerdDinners" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=NerdDinner;Integrated Security=True"/> Does EF 4 only support SQL CE 4.0 for database creation from a model for now or am I doing something wrong here?

    Is there any easy way to generate markdown from source code comments? I'm looking for something similar to Sandcastle, but with Markdown (or something like it) as output. The full story is that I use DokuWiki to generate documentation. It has many nice properties, including that all its data is stored in text files. So my idea is that I should somehow be able to get my API docs into the same place as the rest of my documentation. So far my best bet seems to be to write a custom documenter for NDoc3, but perhaps someone has already done something similar which would save me the trouble. I realize I might need to tweak it a little due to slight syntax differences.

    I'm currently in process of migrating existing (non complete) documentation to Sphinx. The final goal is to have all documentation in Sphinx. The problem I'm facing right now is that I have some documentation using Python docstrings (well the module is actually written in C, but it probably does not matter) and I would like to generate class documentation in form usable for Sphinx from these docstrings. I know there is sphinx.ext.autodoc, but it automatically puts current docstrings to the document. I rather want to generate source (rst) file based on current docstrings, which I could edit and improve manually. So is there some way to turn existing docstrings into rst form which Sphinx consumes?
