  • Dynamically generate Triangle Lists for a Complex 3D Mesh

    In my application, I have the shape and dimensions of a complex 3D solid (say a Cylinder Block) taken from user input. I need to construct vertex and index buffers for it. Since the dimensions are taken from user input, I cannot user Blender or 3D Max to manually create my model. What is the textbook method to dynamically generate such a mesh? Edit: I am looking for something that will generate the triangles given the vertices, edges and holes. Something like TetGen. As for TetGen itself, I have no way of excluding the triangles which fall on the interior of the solid/mesh.

    I have a question. I am developing android applcation on Linux platform because i have to make a system.img with a application. When adding a drawable resource and building the project with mm command, i met a below error. "cannot find symbol R.drawable.icon_send_type" At above error, the icon_send_type is the added resource. This error occurred because the mm command did not generate R.java. So, i want to know how to generate R.java by a manual on Linux platform. Please help me.

    ATM i cant quiet imagine how this will work. I'm sure it can be done. I notice a pattern use in my attribute where i always use 3 specific attributes together. Take the below as an example [MyAttr(4, @"a"), MyAttr(41, "b"), MyAttr(45, "ab")] Mine is much more complicated but i would like to define one attribute with more params to generate the data above. How might i do that? Lets say my one attribute will look like this MyAttr2(4, 41, "a", "b"); //4+41=45, "a"+"b" = "ab" How might i generate the 3 MyAttr to apply to a class using MyAttr2?

    I know this isn't the purpose of TFTP, but I'm working in an environment where a lot of different types of devices pull provisioning info from a TFTP server. What I'm developing is a provisioning system that tracks and maintains device configurations, and I would like to have the requested files generated on the fly, much like you could do with any web application. Yes some of these devices can support HTTP for provisioning, but not all of them do, and we want things to be consistent. Are there any TFTP daemons that can provide something analogous to CGI?

    Hello, I'm using: Vista SP2 Visual Studio 2010 professional edition SQL Server 2008 Express R2 Dev Server (Cassini) This question has been asked several times. Unfortunately, I didn't find yet an answer that exactly appropriate for me, so it's not possible to apply the solutions I find on the web. I find solutions for Win XP, 7, 2003, sql server 2005. But not for the above combination. I just don't why this problem started a couple days ago. I removed sql server and added it again, but no good result. Either an answer to the question or links to resources will be helpful. Thanks for helping.

  • Oracle EE 11.2g: how to generate fresh new redo logs

    Hi, In the company I work for we are heavy users of vmware machines. Almost all our projects are developed inside a virtual environment up to the point where we have to deploy them into a production system. While in development, some colleagues of mine deleted the redo log files for Oracle in the hopes of gaining some free space. Now they are unable to start the database instance. Is there a way of generating a fresh new redo log so that the instance can be started? This is urgent and even though I'm currently googling for an answer I have yet to find it. Thanks in advance.

    I am using ipsec-tools/racoon to create my VPN. I am using racoon-tool to configure racoon.conf but when I run racoon-tool reload it only generates the first section - Global items.   • pnp4nagios does not generate perfdata

    I am running nagios2, pnp4nagios-0.6.16 and php 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.19. In my setup, pnp4nagios is correctly generating perfdata, which can be seen via the web interface in graphical form for lots of services. The perfdata directory contains entries of the kind: /usr/local/pnp4nagios/var/perfdata/zeus/Disk_Space_Home.rrd /usr/local/pnp4nagios/var/perfdata/zeus/Disk_Space_Home.xml I have activated performance data for a new nagios service: define serviceextinfo { host_name zeus service_description 450average action_url /pnp4nagios/index.php?host=$HOSTNAME$&srv=$SERVICEDESC$ } This service is generating monitoring data in the format: status_info|perf_data as required for performance gathering. But somehow the performance data related to this service is not being collected by pnp4nagios (no related entries in /usr/local/pnp4nagios/var/perfdata) Are there any pnp4nagios scripts or settings which I could use to debug this?

    I'm using the following vlc command line to extract first 5 minutes of audio from video file "-I dummy -vvv --no-sout-video --sout-audio --no-sout-rtp-sap --no-sout-standard-sap --ttl=1 --sout-transcode-threads=5 --sout-transcode-high-priority --sout-keep --sout #transcode{acodec=s16l,channels=1,samplerate=8000,ab=64}:std{mux=wav,access=file,dst="c:\dest.wav"} "c:\originalvideo.mpg" --start-time=0 --stop-time=300 vlc://quit"; if ab=64 =64 k bits per second and samples per second=8 k samples then bits per sample=64/8=8 bits per sample but the problem is that the output file always has samples of 16 bits per sample. I know that sample can contain bits from 8 , 16, 24 to 32 bits per sample. i want to get 8 bits per sample file how can this be done ?

    Hello All, I'm using Community engine. It is really a great job But I encountered a strange phenomenon I couldn't solve it. This problem happens only when I open any page contains tinymce by using safari or chrome browsers. It shows me a corrupted code and the page is damaged. kindly check the following photo: http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/5880/screenshot20100111at115.png notice "Delete this user" link then check the source code. There is a weird code injecting itself in the original code. I deployed CE on my laptop and my server. I didn't see this problem locally but sometimes (not always) this problem appears on my server.     I want to downsample an existing audio file to 8KHz mono. This command line downsamples it to stereo: mplayer -quiet -vo null -vc dummy -af volume=0,resample=8000:0:1 -ao pcm:waveheader:file="/tmp/blah1.wav" ~/from_my_cellphone.3ga It generates a file that the file utility identifies as stereo: $ file /tmp/blah1.wav /tmp/blah1.wav: RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 16 bit, stereo 8000 Hz Now, if I read the documentation correctly, I should add pan=1:0.5:0.5 so I get a file that's half the size: mplayer -quiet -vo null -vc dummy -af volume=0,resample=8000:0:1:pan=1:0.5:0.5 -ao pcm:waveheader:file="/tmp/blah2.wav" ~/from_my_cellphone.3ga But it doesn't! blah2.wav is identical to blah1.wav! What am I doing wrong?

    Hy, I need a (linux/shell) script which does the following: It takes a folder full of jpg-files, generates thumbnails and previews (maybe using imagemagik's convert) and creates a html-page which includes all the thumbnails, opens a preview using something like LightBox and links to the original size. Does somebody know a script which does this? I could write one on my own, but it would save me some time.

Previously I have copied that file or directory (I don't remember) from a working installation, but now I need a real solution. It's strange for me, may be a hardware issue also because with Ubuntu the same thing happens on the same computer.

I just wanna ask if there's a possible way to make my SQL statement something like this: SELECT thumb FROM album; while having this piece of code inserted in my function: BitmapImage bmi2 = new BitmapImage(new Uri(r["second record?"].ToString(), UriKind.Relative)); image2.Source = bmi2; //something like this BitmapImage bmi3 = new BitmapImage(new Uri(r["third record?"].ToString(), UriKind.Relative)); image3.Source = bmi3; //something like this and so on and so forth, without ending up creating 10 different functions for 10 records.
