While deploying my project on Redhat 6 with Jboss 4.2.3 I was having following difficulties so I decided to put it on stackoverflow so that it can help other people. If anyone could suggest a good title so that it can easily be searched, please Q: How to make Jboss 4.2.x to ignore old JSF libraries and use one within your project libs? Q: How to make Jboss scan specific path for WAR file scanning? Q: How to bind Jboss with IP address rather then localhost? Q: Where Jboss put exploded WAR file? Q: Hibernate-annotations conflict with Jboss 4.2.3 annotations and throwing following Exception. java.lang.ClassCastException: org.hibernate.validator.event.ValidateEventListener cannot be cast to org.hibernate.event.PreInsertEventListener Q: How to run JSF 2.0.x on JBoss 4.0.x ? • MyFaces Test Framework not working with JSF 2.1

    - by Karl Kildén
we have a lot of tests that uses Myfaces Test Framework for JSF 2.0. http://myfaces.apache.org/test/index.html Problem is we can't get it to work with JSF 2.1. Does anyone know a workaround or a way to solve this? When we run the tests we get the following error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Application was not properly initialized at startup, could not find Factory: javax.faces.application.ApplicationFactory It works fine with jsf 2.0 though. A typical use case in our code: // code block; assertFalse("Error message not expected. ", facesContext .getMessages().hasNext()); JSF 2.1 has a few syntax changes so my guess would be that's the problem.

  • JUnit4 + Eclipse "An internal error occured during Launching"

    - by Mike
Hello I'm trying to run JUnit4 test cases on Eclipse 3.4.2 but it's not even starting for me. I am sure that I properly have junit-4.7.jar in my build path and the test application. Here is a simple example that illustrates my problem package test; import org.junit.Before; import org.junit.Test; public class UTest { @Test public void test() { } @Before public void setUp() throws Exception { } } This compiles fine Then I do "Run JUnit Test case" from Eclipse and I get an error dialog with this message "Launching UTest' has encountered a problem An internal error occurred during: "Launching UTest". java.lang.NullPointerException I'm not sure how to figure out what exactly generating this NullPointerException. Some pointers would be appreciated

  • Is it possible to cast the Elapsed Time function to Integer?

    - by nuvio
I have the following function: (def elapsedtime (with-out-str (time (run-my-function)))) and I was wondering if is possible to store only the integer value of the time, as I can only store a String at the moment.... Any suggestion? Thanks a lot UPDATE So I did use this: (defmacro nsecs [expr] `(let [start# (. System (nanoTime))] ~expr (- (. System (nanoTime)) start#))) And then modified this: (def elapsedtime (nsecs (run-my-function argument1 argument2))) but doesn't work, what am I doing wrong? "Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Wrong number of args (1) passed to: main$fn--105$nsecs"

  • How to modify the HTML and BODY tags in an ASP.NET page without adding runat=server to the elements?

    - by jon333
In an ASP.NET web forms project that is not quite ready to be upgraded from 2.0 to 4.0 , there is a change that needs to be made to allow modifications to the HTML and BODY tags on the pages without adding runat=server to the tags which results in the 2.0 styled "ugly ids" like "ctrl_100..." For example, how could we change these using JavaScript, a Response Filter (the regex to find these specific tags would really help on this one), or something else...from: <html xmlns="//www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <body> To: <html lang="jp=JP" xmlns="//www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="rtl"> <body dir="rtl"> JavaScript seems like a possibility, but functions from the server-side could would determine the language and direction the page should have.

  • Why people are so afraid of using clone() (on collection and JDK classes) ?

    - by Bozho
A number of times I've argued that using clone() isn't such a bad practice. Yes, I know the arguments. Bloch said it's bad. He indeed did, but he said that implementing clone() is bad. Using clone on the other hand, especially if it is implemented correctly by a trusted library, such as the JDK, is OK. Just yesterday I had a discussion about an answer of mine that merely suggests that using clone() for ArrayList is OK (and got no upvotes for that reason, I guess). If we look at the @author of ArrayList, we can see a familiar name - Josh Bloch. So clone() on ArrayList (and other collections) is perfectly fine. (Just look at the implementation). Same goes for Calendar and perhaps most of the java.lang and java.util classes. So, give me a reason why not to use clone() with JDK classes?

  • How do you fix "Too many open files" problem in Hudson?

    - by Randyaa
We use Hudson as a continuous integration system to execute automated builds (nightly and based on CVS polling) of a lot of our projects. Some projects poll CVS every 15 minutes, some others poll every 5 minutes and some poll every hour. Every few weeks we'll get a build that fails with the following output: FATAL: java.io.IOException: Too many open files java.io.IOException: java.io.IOException: Too many open files at java.lang.UNIXProcess.<init>(UNIXProcess.java:148) The next build always worked (with 0 changes) so we always chalked it up to 2 build jobs being run at the same time and happening to have too many files open during the process. This weekend we had a build fail Friday night (automatic nightly build) with the message and every other nightly build also failed. Somehow this triggered Hudson to continuously build every project which failed until the issue was resolved. This resulted in a build every 30 minutes or so of every project until sometime Saturday night when the issue magically disappeared.

  • cannot convert to object

    - by Dazz
    if i execute the following code i get a cannot convert to object error; Uncaught exception: TypeError: Cannot convert 'validation.messages.field' to object $.fn.validate = function(validation) { $.each(validation.rules, function(field, fieldRules){ $.each(fieldRules, function(rule, ruleValue){ var fieldValue = $('[name=' + field + ']').val(); if (eval(rule + '(fieldValue, ruleValue)') == false){ alert(validation.rules.field.rule); return false; }else{ return true; }; }); }); } the problem is the alert(validation.messages.field.rule); 'field' = 'persoon_voornaam' and 'rule' = 'required' and validation.messages.persoon_voornaam.required works just fine. What am i doing wrong? validation is a JSON that look like this: { rules: { persoon_voornaam: { required: true, minlength: 5, }, postcode_bestemming: { required: true, minlength: 7, }, }, messages: { persoon_voornaam: { required: 'Dit veld is verplicht', minlengt: 'Dit veld moet minstens 5 lang zijn', }, } }

  • why don't more programming languages have builtin interfaces to the window manager?

    - by Naveen
Programming is at the heart about automating tasks on a computer. Presumably those tasks would normally be done manually by a human. Humans use the computer through the keyboard, mouse, and interaction with the console or the window manager. But very few languages have built in functions that provide an interface to these basic computing objects. A notable exception is autohotkey, an open source language on windows, providing builtin functions that allow the following simple tasks: * Get Pixel Information * Get mouse position * Keyboard macros * Simulate key strokes * Simulate mouse click * Window management See examples on rosettacode. There have been various attempts on linux, many of which were stopped without explanation. One is the inactive tcl library: android. Search google code for android, lang:tcl

  • Getting NoClassDefFoundError only with TestCases

    - by Teja

If I use same API from normal java program (within that plugin itself), it can able to create excel file without errors. But, when I try to create from testcase, I am getting the following error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/poi/hssf/usermodel/HSSFWorkbook I have added required jar file into lib folder and added to build-path. Why its working from normal java program, but not working from WindowTester generated testcase. Could anyone help me.

  • Nested for loop error with !null checking an element that doesn't exist

    - by Programatt
I am currently using nested for loops in a 2D array of size 4,2. When I run my program, I get index out of bounds Exception on the following line else if (state[i][j+1] != null && state[i][j].getFlash() <= state[i][j].getCycleLength() && state[i][j+1].getCycleLength() == state[i][j].getCycleLength()){ } It says the index out of bounds is 2. I would understand the error if I wasn't checking to see if [i][j+1] wasn't null, but I don't understand the exception with the check? I tried moving around the !null check but the program still fails on this line. Any help would be greatly appreciated. • diff implementation in Java

    - by Frór
Hi, I'm looking for a diff implementation in Java. I've seen that Python has its own SequenceMatcher (with difflib), which is exactly what I need... in Java. Is there any portage? Or is there any other class/library that performs the same in Java? If not, where can I find the source code of that difflib (if free as in speech) to make my own implementation of SequenceMatcher in Java ? Unfortunately, Apache Commons Lang doesn't help me much. Thanks!

  • httpOnly Session Cookie + Servlet 3.0 (e.g. Glassfish v3)

    - by chris_l
By default, Glassfish v3 doesn't set the httpOnly flag on session cookies (when created as usual with request.getSession()). I know, there is a method javax.servlet.SessionCookieConfig.setHttpOnly(), but I'm not sure, if that's the best way to do it, and if yes, where the best place would be to put that line. BTW, of course it can't be done in the servlet itself (e.g. in init()): java.lang.IllegalStateException: PWC1426: Unable to configure httpOnly session tracking cookie property for servlet context /..., because this servlet context has already been initialized Generally, I would prefer to use a configuration option e.g. in web.xml.
