• BASH Install Of Wordpress, Without Visiting wp-admin/install.php

  I wrote this little BASH script that creates a folder,unzips Wordpress and creates a database for a site. The final step is actually installing Wordpress, which usually involves pointing your browser to install.php and filling out a form in the GUI. • Jetty 7 Continuations: How to *not* redispatch the request?

  I'm using Jetty 7 continuations to implement some asynchronous processing. What I'm trying to do is start off the continuation (via .suspend()), and then hand the continuation off to some other object that will compose the response, which works fine. But Jetty keeps redispatching the response (with isInitial = false) to the servlet, and I don't want or need that, because the response is being dealt with by some other object. So, I'd like to find a way to explicitly not redispatch the request on timeout or expire, because I'm using an event-driven series of callbacks to actually produce the response.

  Hi Friends, I am using AVAudioPlayer object to play an audio. I create an audioPlayer object initially. I play an animation and when ever animation starts I play the audio and pause the audio when the animation is finished. I initially found three memory Leaks using Instruments. (The responsible caller mentioned was RegisterEmbedCodecs). After suggestion from a "ahmet emrah" in this forum to add MediaPlayer framework, the number of leaks reduced to one. • Quick / Built-in method for detecting table change in SQL Server?

  Is there a quick and easy way of telling if a table has changed in SQL Server? (I'm using SQL Server 2005). Something like an incrementing ID somewhere that updates on each INSERT, DELETE or UPDATE that I can keep track of. I noticed there is a sys.objects.modify_date column for each table, but I don't think it's quite what I want because the docs say: Date the object was last modified by using an ALTER statement. If the object is a table or a view, modify_date also changes when a clustered index on the table or view is created or altered.

• How to read the response stream before the Http response completes

  When making a request using HttpWebRequest object, I need to call the method GetResponse() to send the request and get the response back. The problem with this method is that it doesn't return the response object until all data has been received. Say I am downloading a 100 MB file, I won't be able to read it until the response finish and all the 100 MB is downloaded. What I want is to be able to read the response stream bytes as soon as they arrive, without waiting for the response to complete. I know I can use the Range Http header, but it won't work on my situation.

• Entity Relationship Multiple 1:1's

  I have an application where I have a generic object (table) called Hull. Each hull in the table is unique. I have another object that has three hulls, but they are specifically the Port_Hull, Center_Hull and Starboard_Hull. Rather than create a One to Many relationship, I was trying to create a one to one relationship for each one, but this results in numerous errors unless I make the relationship from Hull to Vessel one to many (which it is not). Any idea how I go about this, or should I abandon the concept and make the vessel to hull relationship one to many and deal with lists that always have three entries? p.s. Using uniqueidentifiers as many users can be adding records while disconnected. • Problem with filling dataset

  This is a small portion of my code file. Each time my debugger reaches the line 'NewDA.Fill(NewDS);' at runtime it jumps to the catch. I'm positive the daynumber variable gets a value that's present in the database and I've tried the query outside of the codefile on my database and it works fine.   Hello, We are using SQLite in a multi processes and multi threaded application. The SQLite database files are encrypted using the embedded SQLite encryption. The FAQ states that SQLite should be able to manage multi process accesses using locks mechanism. We are experiencing a strange problem: When many threads are accessing the same database file, sometime constrains violations occur, more specifically - a field with a unique constrain is getting duplicate values after calling "insert or replace" statement. It happens quite often now, that we are using the encryption. Before we started using SQLite encryption we did not notice such a behavior. Are there any specific known issues with this?

  Hi, Here is a question about IMFActivate::ActivateObject and IMFActivate::ShutdownObject in Media Foundation. According to MSDN, the component that calls ActivateObject is responsible for calling ShutdownObject. But there are two examples not following this rule: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd388503%28VS.85%29.aspx and http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd317912%28VS.85%29.aspx In these two examples, they call ActivateObject and then release IMFActivate interface without calling ShutdownObject method. This is going to lead to memory leaking, right? Or there is another way to release the resource occupied by the object? (Can I use IMFMediaSource::Shutdown to release the object instead of using IMFActivate::ShutdownObject) Thanks in advance.

  Hi there. I'm trying to use XSL-stylesheets in order to transform some generated XML-data to HTML-output. The architecture that I'm using is as follows: [Client Side] Web-Browser = [Server Side: Glassfish v3] JSP-pages - Web-Services. My web service generates some XML-data, then I want to format it with XSL-stylesheet, pass the result to JSP-page and show to user. I'm using JAXP for XSL-transformations and I want to create a javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamSource object with XSL-file stream for the javax.xml.transform.Transformer object, but I'm having a difficulty with specifying the path/URL for the XSL-file. So the question is: where should I put my XSL-stylesheets in a project and how should I access them from code? I'm using Glassfish v3 and NetBeans 6.8. Thanks.

• Is it really wrong to version documents using CouchDB's default behaviour?

  This is one of those "I know I shouldn't do this but it's oh so convenient." questions. Sorry about that. I plan to use CouchDB for storing a bunch of documents and keeping their entire revision history. CouchDB does the versioning automatically, but it is strongly discouraged for programmer's use: "You cannot rely on document revisions for any other purpose than concurrency control." From what I've found on the CouchDB wiki, the versions can get deleted either during compaction or during replication. As far as I can tell, Compaction must always be triggered manually and Replication occurs only when there's more than one database server. The question is: if I won't run compaction and will use only single database instance for my documents, can I just use CouchDB's document versioning and expect it to work? What other problems I might run into? E.g. does not running compaction hurt the performance or consume significantly more disk space (than if I did handle the versioning manually)?

  I'm writing a database of all DVDs I have at home. One of the fields, actors, I would like it to be a set of values from an other table, which is storing actors. So for every film I want to store a list of actors, all of which selected from a list of actors, taken from a different table. Is it possible? How do I do this? It would be a set of foreign keys basically. I'm using a MySQL database for a Django application (python), so any hint in SQL or Python would be much appreciated. I have following code in my model. class Company include Mongoid::Document include Mongoid::Timestamps references_many :people, :stored_as => :array, :inverse_of => :companies end class Person include Mongoid::Document include Sunspot::Mongoid references_many :companies, :stored_as => :array, :inverse_of => :people end Now in Company object we get person_ids as a result of stored_as array and company_ids in Person object. Now initially I inserted lots of person in company and the ids in person_ids fields is huge. Now I deleted most of person from company down to 8 people. Now I don't get why person_ids fields of Company object storing all the deleted ids of person. • Retrieving Gtk::Widget's relative position: get_allocation() doesn't work

  I need to retrieve the position of a Gtk::Widget relative to its parent, a Gtk::Table. Most sources (e.g. http://library.gnome.org/devel/gtk-faq/stable/x642.html) say that one needs to call Gtk::Widget::get_allocation(). However, the returned Gtk::Allocation object always contains x = -1, y = -1, width = 1, height = 1. I have to note that this happens before the Gtk::Table object is actually exposed and rendered. A call to show_all_children() or check_resize(), which I would expect to recalculate child widget geometry, doesn't help. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
