• Why so Long time span in creating Session Factory?

  Hi My project is web application running in the tomcat container. This application is a spring framework based hibernate application. My database is mysql and database server is running on the local machine only. The container environment is Centos Linux system. I am clueless about why it takes that much of time in executing these process, But when i do the same task from under eclipse it does not take that much of time. Development environment is Windows.

• jquery with ASP.NET MVC - calling ajax enabled web service

  This is a bit of a continuation of a previous question. Now I'm trying to make a call to an AJAX enabled web service which I have defined within the ASP.NET MVC application (i.e. the MovieService.svc). But the service is never being called in my getMovies javascript function. This same technique of calling the AJAX web service works ok if I try it in a non ASP.NET MVC application, so it makes me wonder if maybe the ASP MVC routes are interfering with things somehow when it tries to make the AJAX web service call. Do you have any idea why my web service isn't getting called?   Hi, I am creating a WCF service which is to be hosted in Windows Service. I created a console application as follows I went to management console (services.msc) and started the service. But I got the following error "The LijosWindowsService service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service" I went to the event viewer and got the following "Service cannot be started. System.InvalidOperationException: Service 'Lijo.Samples.WeatherService' has zero application (non-infrastructure) endpoints. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no service element matching the service name could be found in the configuration file, or because no endpoints were defined in the service element." Could you please let me know what is the missing link here? • REST web service keeps first POST parametrs

However, when I run the client and add some info, parameters go OK, but in next time I input different parameters it'll input the same. I run this several times and I can't get the reason of it. • MVC SiteMap - when different nodes point to same action SiteMap.CurrentNode does not map to the correct route

  Setup: I am using ASP.NET MVC 4, with mvcSiteMapProvider to manage my menus. I have a custom menu builder that evaluates whether a node is on the current branch (ie, if the SiteMap.CurrentNode is either the CurrentNode or the CurrentNode is nested under it). The code is included below, but essentially checks the url of each node and compares it with the url of the currentnode, up through the currentnodes "family tree". The CurrentBranch is used by my custom menu builder to add a class that highlights menu items on the CurrentBranch. The Problem: My custom menu works fine, but I have found that the mvcSiteMapProvider does not seem to evaluate the url of the CurrentNode in a consistent manner: When two nodes point to the same action and are distinguished only by a parameter of the action, SiteMap.CurrentNode does not seem to use the correct route (it ignores the distinguishing parameter and defaults to the first route that that maps to the action defined in the node). Example of the Problem: In an app I have Members. A Member has a MemberStatus field that can be "Unprocessed", "Active" or "Inactive". To change the MemberStatus, I have a ProcessMemberController in an Area called Admin. The processing is done using the Process action on the ProcessMemberController. My mvcSiteMap has two nodes that BOTH map to the Process action. The only difference between them is the alternate parameter (such are my client's domain semantics), that in one case has a value of "Processed" and in the other "Unprocessed": Nodes: <mvcSiteMapNode title="Process" area="Admin" controller="ProcessMembers" action="Process" alternate="Unprocessed" /> <mvcSiteMapNode title="Change Status" area="Admin" controller="ProcessMembers" action="Process" alternate="Processed" /> Routes: The corresponding routes to these two nodes are (again, the only thing that distinguishes them is the value of the alternate parameter): context.MapRoute( "Process_New_Members", "Admin/Unprocessed/Process/{MemberId}", new { controller = "ProcessMembers", action = "Process", alternate="Unprocessed", MemberId = UrlParameter.Optional } ); context.MapRoute( "Change_Status_Old_Members", "Admin/Members/Status/Change/{MemberId}", new { controller = "ProcessMembers", action = "Process", alternate="Processed", MemberId = UrlParameter.Optional } ); What works: The Html.ActionLink helper uses the routes and produces the urls I expect: @Html.ActionLink("Process", MVC.Admin.ProcessMembers.Process(item.MemberId, "Unprocessed") // Output (alternate="Unprocessed" and item.MemberId = 12): Admin/Unprocessed/Process/12 @Html.ActionLink("Status", MVC.Admin.ProcessMembers.Process(item.MemberId, "Processed") // Output (alternate="Processed" and item.MemberId = 23): Admin/Members/Status/Change/23 In both cases the output is correct and as I expect. What doesn't work: Let's say my request involves the second option, ie, /Admin/Members/Status/Change/47, corresponding to alternate = "Processed" and a MemberId of 47. Debugging my static CurrentBranch property (see below), I find that SiteMap.CurrentNode shows: PreviousSibling: null Provider: {MvcSiteMapProvider.DefaultSiteMapProvider} ReadOnly: false ResourceKey: "" Roles: Count = 0 RootNode: {Home} Title: "Process" Url: "/Admin/Unprocessed/Process/47" Ie, for a request url of /Admin/Members/Status/Change/47, SiteMap.CurrentNode.Url evaluates to /Admin/Unprocessed/Process/47. The routes are interpreted by Html.ActionLlink as I expect, but are not evaluated by SiteMap.CurrentNode as I expect. In other words, in evaluating my routes, SiteMap.CurrentNode ignores the distinguishing alternate parameter.

Error: CGContextDrawImage: invalid context Error: CGBitmapContextCreateImage: invalid context Currently, I have in application that runs perfectly in OS 4.0, but I have been trying to get it to work properly in 3.1.3 and I keep getting the errors mentioned above. I am fairly new to iPhone development and am not exactly sure what the problem would be. I am using image resize code that I found in another post on stackoverflow. • MIME "Content-Type" folding and parameter question regarding RFCs?

  Hello, I'm trying to implement a basic MIME parser for the multipart/related in C++/Qt. So far I've been writing some basic parser code for headers, and I'm reading the RFCs to get an idea how to do everything as close to the specification as possible. Unfortunately there is a part in the RFC that confuses me a bit: From RFC882 Section 3.1.1: Each header field can be viewed as a single, logical line of ASCII characters, comprising a field-name and a field-body. For convenience, the field-body portion of this conceptual entity can be split into a multiple-line representation; this is called "folding". The general rule is that wherever there may be linear-white-space (NOT simply LWSP-chars), a CRLF immediately followed by AT LEAST one LWSP-char may instead be inserted. Thus, the single line Alright, so I simply parse a header field and if a CRLF follows with linear whitespace, I simply concat those in a useful manner to result in a single header line. Let's proceed... From RFC2045 Section 5.1: In the Augmented BNF notation of RFC 822, a Content-Type header field value is defined as follows: content := "Content-Type" ":" type "/" subtype *(";" parameter) ; Matching of media type and subtype ; is ALWAYS case-insensitive. • Optimizing Python code with many attribute and dictionary lookups

  I have written a program in Python which spends a large amount of time looking up attributes of objects and values from dictionary keys. I would like to know if there's any way I can optimize these lookup times, potentially with a C extension, to reduce the time of execution, or if I need to simply re-implement the program in a compiled language. The program implements some algorithms using a graph. It runs prohibitively slowly on our data sets, so I profiled the code with cProfile using a reduced data set that could actually complete. The vast majority of the time is being burned in one function, and specifically in two statements, generator expressions, within the function: The generator expression at line 202 is neighbors_in_selected_nodes = (neighbor for neighbor in node_neighbors if neighbor in selected_nodes) and the generator expression at line 204 is neighbor_z_scores = (interaction_graph.node[neighbor]['weight'] for neighbor in neighbors_in_selected_nodes) The source code for this function of context provided below. selected_nodes is a set of nodes in the interaction_graph, which is a NetworkX Graph instance. node_neighbors is an iterator from Graph.neighbors_iter(). Graph itself uses dictionaries for storing nodes and edges. Its Graph.node attribute is a dictionary which stores nodes and their attributes (e.g., 'weight') in dictionaries belonging to each node. Each of these lookups should be amortized constant time (i.e., O(1)), however, I am still paying a large penalty for the lookups. Is there some way which I can speed up these lookups (e.g., by writing parts of this as a C extension), or do I need to move the program to a compiled language? • Hardware/Software inventory open source projects

  Dear Stackoverflowers I would like to develop a Network Inventory application that works on any operating system. Reports on every possible resource attacehd to a network. Reports all pertinent details of hardware and software. Thats (and i hate to use the phrase) my "End Game". However I am running before i can crawl here. I have no experience of this type of development, e.g. discovering a computers hardware and software settings. I've spent almost two weeks googling and come up short! :-(. So I am turning to you to ask these questions:- My first step is to find an existing open source project i can incorporate into my own code that extracts the fine grained details i am after, e.g. EVERYTHING there is to know about the hardaware and software on a single machine. Does this project exist? or do i have to develop that first? Have i got to write all this in C? I am guessing getting this information about a computer is going to be easier than for printers, scanners, routers etc... e.g. everything else you would find attached to a network. Once i have access to a single computers details i then need to investigate how i can traverse an entire newtork of printers, scanners, routers, load balancers, switches, firewalls, workstations, servers, storeage devices, laptops, monitors, the list goes on and on One problem i have is i dont have a 1000 machine newtork to play on! Is there any such resource available on theinternet? (is that a silly question?) Anywho, if you dont ask you wont find out! One aspect iam really looking forward to finding out how to travers the entire network, should i be using TCP/IP for this? Whats a good site, blog, usergorup, book for TCP/IP development? How do i go about getting through firewalls? How many questions can i ask in one go? :-) My previous question on this topic ended up with PYTHON being championed as the language/script to go with to develop this application in. Having looked at a few PYTHON examples they all seemed to be related to WINDOWS networks and interrogating Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). I had the feeling you cant rely on whats in WMI, and even if you can that s no good for UNIX netwrks. Surely there exist common code for extracting hardware and software details from a computer? Why cant i find it on the internet? Pease help? • UI not updated while using ProgressMonitorInputStream in Swing to monitor compressed file decompress

  I'm working on swing application that relies on an embedded H2 database. Because I don't want to bundle the database with the app(the db is frequently updated and I want new users of the app to start with a recent copy), I've implemented a solution which downloads a compressed copy of the db the first time the application is started and extracts it. Since the extraction process might be slow I've added a ProgressMonitorInputStream to show to progress of the extraction process - unfortunately when the extraction starts, the progress dialog shows up but it's not updated at all. It seems like to events are getting through to the event dispatch thread. I haven't implemented this as an SwingWorker since I need to wait for the extraction anyways before I can proceed with the initialization of the program. I don't won't a solution based on SwingWorker + property changed listeners - I think that the ProgressMonitorInputStream is exactly what I need, but I guess I'm not doing something right. The converter seems to work correctly. I found this similar question from stackoverflow and this article about selectOneMenu and converters, but I was not able to find the problem in my code. Why is List<SelectItem> used in the example from the second link. Gives the same error for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

• Spring Security and the Synchronizer Token J2EE pattern, problem when authentication fails.

  Hey, we are using Spring Security 2.0.4. We have a TransactionTokenBean which generates a unique token each POST, the bean is session scoped. The token is used for the duplicate form submission problem (and security). The TransactionTokenBean is called from a Servlet filter. Our problem is the following, after a session timeout occured, when you do a POST in the application Spring Security redirects to the logon page, saving the original request. After logging on again the TransactionTokenBean is created again, since it is session scoped, but then Spring forwards to the originally accessed url, also sending the token that was generated at that time. Since the TransactionTokenBean is created again, the tokens do not match and our filter throws an Exception. I don't quite know how to handle this elegantly, (or for that matter, I can't even fix it with a hack), any ideas?   I am trying to create a very generic generics repository for my Entity Framework repository that has the basic CRUD statements and uses an Interface. I have hit a brick wall head first and been knocked over. Here is my code, written in a console application, using a Entity Framework Model, with a table named Hurl. Simply trying to pull back the object by its ID.   Hi, I'm using the MailService feature of Google App Engine in my application. It works fine in one application without any issues. But the same code doesn't work in another app. I'm not able to figure it out. Please help. The mail is not sent. At times I get the following error after the above statement is printed (and the mail is not sent). com.google.appengine.repackaged.com.google.common.base.internal.Finalizer getInheritableThreadLocalsField: Couldn't access Thread.inheritableThreadLocals. Reference finalizer threads will inherit thread local values. But the mail quota usage keeps increasing. Remember, this works fine in one application, but not in other. • Android passing an arraylist back to parent activity

  Hi there. I've been searching for a simple example of this with no luck. In my android application I have two activities: 1. The main activity which is launched at startup 2. A second activity which is launched by pressing a button on the main activty. When the second activity is finished (by pressing a button) I want it to send back an ArrayList of type MyObject to the main activity and close itself, which the main activity can then do whatever with it. How would I go about achieving this? I have been trying a few things but it is crashing my application when I start the second activity. • No improvement in speed when using Ehcache with Hibernate

  I'm getting no improvement in speed when using Ehcache with Hibernate Here are the results I get when i run the test below. The test is reading 80 Stop objects and then the same 80 Stop objects again using the cache. On the second read it is hitting the cache, but there is no improvement in speed. Any idea's on what I'm doing wrong? • AIDL based two way communication

  I have two apps between which I want some data exchanged. As they are running in different processes, so, I am using AIDL to communicate between them. Now, everything is happening really great in one direction (say my apps are A and B) i.e. data is being sent from A to B but, now I need to send some data from B to A. I noticed that we need to include the app with the AIDL in the build path of app where the AIDL method will be called. So in my case A includes B in its build path. For B to be able to send something to A, by that logic, B would need A in its build path. This would create a cycle. I am stuck at this point. And I cannot think of a work around this loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated :) . • Why does sending post data with WebRequest take so long?

  I am currently creating a C# application to tie into a php / MySQL online system. The application needs to send post data to scripts and get the response. When I send the following data username=test&password=test I get the following responses... Starting request at 22/04/2010 12:15:42 Finished creating request : took 00:00:00.0570057 Transmitting data at 22/04/2010 12:15:42 Transmitted the data : took 00:00:06.9316931 <<-- Getting the response at 22/04/2010 12:15:49 Getting response 00:00:00.0360036 Finished response 00:00:00.0360036 Entire call took 00:00:07.0247024 As you can see it is taking 6 seconds to actually send the data to the script, I have done further testing bye sending data from telnet and by sending post data from a local file to the url and they dont even take a second so this is not a problem with the hosted script on the site. Why is it taking 6 seconds to transmit the data when it is two simple strings?   How to force Tomcat to save logged users, so that the they kept logged in even after Tomcat has restarted? Right now the user has to login again everytime. • ASP.NET Login Page Redirection Problem

  Hello everyone! I'm building a silverlight application hosted on ASP.NET Web App. / IIS7 / SSL-enabled website. For security, I put my silverlight page inside a Members folder in the ASP.NET Web Application, and restricted access from anonymous users.(see web.config below) when users try to access pages under Members folder, they get redirected to https://www.ssldemo.com/authenticationtest/login.aspx.
