  • Error copying file from app bundle

    - by Michael Chen
I used the FireFox add-on SQLite Manager, created a database, which saved to my desktop as "DB.sqlite". I copied the file into my supporting files for the project. But when I run the app, immediately I get the error "Assertion failure in -[AppDelegate copyDatabaseIfNeeded], /Users/Mac/Desktop/Note/Note/AppDelegate.m:32 2014-08-19 23:38:02.830 Note[28309:60b] Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Failed to create writable database file with message 'The operation couldn’t be completed. (Cocoa error 4.)'.' First throw call stack: "... Here is the App Delegate Code where the error takes place -(void) copyDatabaseIfNeeded { NSFileManager *fileManager = [NSFileManager defaultManager]; NSError *error; NSString *dbPath = [self getDBPath]; BOOL success = [fileManager fileExistsAtPath:dbPath]; if (!success) { NSString *defaultDBPath = [[ [NSBundle mainBundle ] resourcePath] stringByAppendingPathComponent:@"DB.sqlite"]; success = [fileManager copyItemAtPath:defaultDBPath toPath:dbPath error:&error]; if (!success) NSAssert1(0, @"Failed to create writable database file with message '%@'.", [error localizedDescription]); } } I am very new to Sqlite, so I maybe I didn't create a database correctly in the FireFox Sqlite manager, or maybe I didn't "properly" copy the .sqlite file in? (I did check the target membership in the sqlite and it correctly has my project selected. Also, the .sqlite file names all match up perfectly.)

  • Need example of how to create/manipulate image pixel data with iPhone SDK

    - by whiskeyspider
Looking for a simple example or link to a tutorial. Say I have a bunch of values stored in an array. I would like to create an image and update the image data from my array. Assume the array values are intensity data and will be updating a grayscale image. Assume the array values are between 0 and 255 -- or that I will convert it to that range. This is not for purposes of animation. Rather the image would be updated based on user interaction. This is something I know how to do well in Java, but am very new to iPhone programming. I've googled some information about CGImage and UIImage -- but am confused as to where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Is it good choice to move a Sublayer around a view using UIPanGestureRecognizer?

    - by Pranjal Bikash Das
I have a CALayer and as sublayer to this CALayer i have added an imageLayer which contains an image of resolution 276x183. I added a UIPanGestureRecognizer to the main view and calculation the coordinates of the CALayer as follows: - (void)panned:(UIPanGestureRecognizer *)sender{ subLayer.frame=CGRectMake([sender locationInView:self.view].x-138, [sender locationInView:self.view].y-92, 276, 183); } in viedDidLoad i have: subLayer.backgroundColor=[UIColor whiteColor].CGColor; subLayer.frame=CGRectMake(22, 33, 276, 183); imageLayer.contents=(id)[UIImage imageNamed:@"A.jpg"].CGImage; imageLayer.frame=subLayer.bounds; imageLayer.masksToBounds=YES; imageLayer.cornerRadius=15.0; subLayer.shadowColor=[UIColor blackColor].CGColor; subLayer.cornerRadius=15.0; subLayer.shadowOpacity=0.8; subLayer.shadowOffset=CGSizeMake(0, 3); [subLayer addSublayer:imageLayer]; [self.view.layer addSublayer:subLayer]; It is giving desired output but a bit slow in the simulator. I have not yet tested it in Device. so my question is - Is it OK to move a CALayer containing an image??

  • Big trouble after app update. CoreData migration error

    - by MrBr
this morning we had a big trouble with our iphone app. We had to even take it off the store. The thing is that we made real small changes to our xcdatamodel. We thought that the update process is automatically taking care about exchanging it the right way until we found out something like CoreData migration exists. We are using the UIManagedDocument to connect to the persistent store. How is it possible to exchange this file with the new one? While we were developing we just uninstalled the whole app from the device and then installed it again and everything worked. How can we simulate this process in the app store with updates? UPDATE I try to set the migration option like this _database = [[UIIManagedDocument alloc] init]; NSMutableDictionary *options = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; [options setObject:[NSNumber numberWithBool:YES] forKey:NSMigratePersistentStoresAutomaticallyOption], _database.persistentStoreOptions = options; but the app is still crashing with ** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'This NSPersistentStoreCoordinator has no persistent stores. It cannot perform a save operation.'

  • Unicode data from NSData to NSString

    - by Jeff
So if I have NSData from an HTTP request, then I do something like this: NSString *test = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:data encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; This will result in null if the data contains weird unicode data (title is from reddit): {"title":"click..¦¦me..and..then¦¦________ ¦¦check¦¦_.your...¦¦.__...¦¦____ ¦¦....¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦....¦¦____ ¦¦¦¦¦¦....¦¦¦¦¦¦....¦¦¦¦¦¦____ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦____ ....¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦______ ........¦¦..._recently....¦¦________ ....¦¦....viewed....links....¦¦_____"}, How would I convert the data to a string? Ideally, it would best if the string wasn't null so I could parse it as JSON, but even a lossy conversion is fine with me in these cases. I'm not familiar with unicode (naive American I am), so any enlightenment about that would be a nice bonus :)

  • How to use the Response from PHP in Objective-C?

    - by iMohammad
I've managed to post and get datas from PHP thru objective-c. However, the response from the server looks like the following: ["ARC101","ARC112","ARC124","ARC203","ARC222","ARC251","ARC281","ARC305","ARC314","ARC344","ARC353","ARC363","ARC408","ARC416","ARC426","ARC482"] And, some responses could be more complicated like the following: [{"Code":"ARC101","Title":"Design Studio-I: Design Princi","Instructor":"Mike Cohen","Activity":"LAB","Days":"MW","Room":"B01","Bldg":"19","Section":"1","StartTime":"1310","EndTime":"1550","CallNo":"20438","Priority":null,"Open":"Open","HasAct":false,"CodeAct":null,"TitleAct":null,"InstructorAct":null] What would be your suggestion if I want to play with these datas? for example, putting them on a table ,etc. Thanks in Advance!

  • UIButton custom font vertical alignment

    - by Willshaw Media
I've got a UIButton which uses a custom font, which is set when my view loads: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; self.searchButton.titleLabel.font = [UIFont fontWithName: @"FONTNAME" size: 15.0 ]; } The problem I've got is that the font is appearing to float up of the center line. If I comment out this line, the default font appears vertically centered fine. But changing to the custom font breaks the vertical alignment. I'm getting the same issue on a Table Cell with a custom font too. Do I need to tell the view somewhere that the custom font is not as tall as other fonts? EDIT: I've just realized that the font I'm using is a Windows TrueType Font. I can use it fine in TextEdit on the Mac, only a problem with the alignment in my App

  • Are CMAttitude and CATransform3D related by rotational matrices?

    - by Alex Stone
I'm looking at the core motion class CMAttitude, it can express the device's orientation as a 3x3 rotational matrix. At the same time I've taken a look at the CATransform3D, which encapsulates the view's attitude, as well as scaling. The CATransform3D is a 4x4 matrix. I've seen that the OpenGL rotational matrix is 4x4 and is simply 0001 padded in the 4th row and column. I'm wandering if the CMAttitude's rotational matrix is related to CATransform's matrix? Can I use the device's rotation in space obtained via a rotational matrix to transform a UIView using CATransform3D? My intention is to let the user move the phone and apply the same transform to a UIView on the screen. Bonus question: if they are related, how do I transform a CMAttitude's rotational matrix to CATransform3D?

  • How to use NSArray of NSArray object in objective c?

    - by user1306926
I declared a NSArray object in .h file as @property (nonatomic, assign) NSArray *scnArray; and in .h file under - (void)viewDidLoad I created three different NSArray objects as NSArray *obj1 = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"1",@"0",@"0",nil]; NSArray *obj2 = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"0",@"3",@"0",nil]; NSArray *obj3 = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"0",@"0",@"5",nil]; scnArray = [[NSArray alloc] initWithArray:obj1]; [scnArray arrayByAddingObjectsFromArray:obj2]; [scnArray arrayByAddingObjectsFromArray:obj3]; and if I access this scnArray from any other function NSArray *caseArray = [scnArray objectAtIndex:index];//index will be 0, 1, 2... I am getting BAD_ACCESS_ERROR. What is the problem here and how can I correct to use it?

  • Release an object without a pointer?

    - by Kai Friis
    I’ve just started developing for iPhone and am trying to get my head around memory management. I made a small program that shows a map and an annotation on the map. For the annotation I made a simple class that implements the MKAnnotation protocol. To create and add the annotation I wrote this: [self.myMapView addAnnotation:[[MyAnnotation alloc] init]]; It worked fine until I tried to release the object. Nothing to release. This is what I would have done in C#, I guess it doesn’t work without garbage collection? So is this the only way to do it? MyAnnotation *myAnnotation = [[MyAnnotation alloc] init]; [self.myMapView addAnnotation: myAnnotation]; [myAnnotation release];

  • win32 sdk: how to make the caption/border of a child window transparent

    - by Eric
I'm creating a child window within the main window. I assigned these styles to the child window: WS_CHILDWINDOW | WS_VISIBLE | WS_VSCROLL | WS_HSCROLL | WS_SIZEBOX | WS_CAPTION The child window I get has a caption and a resizable border. However there's no close button in the caption, and the caption/border of the child window is not transparent (I'm using the aero theme in windows 7). Here is the screen snap: How to add close button to the caption? How can I make the caption/border transparent?

  • "didChangeSection:" NSfetchedResultsController delegate method not being called

    - by robenk
I have a standard split view controller, with a detail view and a table view. Pressing a button in the detail view can cause the an object to change its placement in the table view's ordering. This works fine, as long as the resulting ordering change doesn't result in a section being added or removed. I.e. an object can change it's ordering in a section or switch from one section to another. Those ordering changes work correctly without problems. But, if the object tries to move to a section that doesn't exist yet, or is the last object to leave a section (therefore requiring the section its leaving to be removed), then the application crashes. NSFetchedResultsControllerDelegate has methods to handle sections being added and removed that should be called in those cases. But those delegate methods aren't being called for some reason. The code in question, is boilerplate: - (void)controllerWillChangeContent:(NSFetchedResultsController *)controller { NSLog(@"willChangeContent"); [self.tableView beginUpdates]; } - (void)controller:(NSFetchedResultsController *)controller didChangeSection:(id <NSFetchedResultsSectionInfo>)sectionInfo atIndex:(NSUInteger)sectionIndex forChangeType:(NSFetchedResultsChangeType)type { NSLog(@"didChangeSection"); switch(type) { case NSFetchedResultsChangeInsert: [self.tableView insertSections:[NSIndexSet indexSetWithIndex:sectionIndex] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; break; case NSFetchedResultsChangeDelete: [self.tableView deleteSections:[NSIndexSet indexSetWithIndex:sectionIndex] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; break; } } - (void)controller:(NSFetchedResultsController *)controller didChangeObject:(id)anObject atIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath forChangeType:(NSFetchedResultsChangeType)type newIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)newIndexPath { NSLog(@"didChangeObject"); UITableView *tableView = self.tableView; switch(type) { case NSFetchedResultsChangeInsert: [tableView insertRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:newIndexPath] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; break; case NSFetchedResultsChangeDelete: [tableView deleteRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:indexPath] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; break; case NSFetchedResultsChangeUpdate: [self configureCell:[tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath] atIndexPath:indexPath]; break; case NSFetchedResultsChangeMove: [tableView deleteRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:indexPath] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; [tableView insertRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:newIndexPath]withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; break; } } - (void)controllerDidChangeContent:(NSFetchedResultsController *)controller { NSLog(@"didChangeContent"); [self.tableView endUpdates]; [detailViewController.reminderView update]; } Starting the application, and then causing the last object to leave a section results in the following output: 2011-01-08 23:40:18.910 Reminders[54647:207] willChangeContent 2011-01-08 23:40:18.912 Reminders[54647:207] didChangeObject 2011-01-08 23:40:18.914 Reminders[54647:207] didChangeContent 2011-01-08 23:40:18.915 Reminders[54647:207] *** Assertion failure in -[UITableView _endCellAnimationsWithContext:], /SourceCache/UIKit_Sim/UIKit-1145.66/UITableView.m:825 2011-01-08 23:40:18.917 Reminders[54647:207] Serious application error. Exception was caught during Core Data change processing: Invalid update: invalid number of sections. The number of sections contained in the table view after the update (5) must be equal to the number of sections contained in the table view before the update (6), plus or minus the number of sections inserted or deleted (0 inserted, 0 deleted). with userInfo (null) As you can see, "willChangeContent", "didChangeObject" (moving the object in question), and "didChangeContent" were all called properly. Based on the Apple's NSFetchedResultsControllerDelegate documentation "didChangeSection" should have been called before "didChangeObject", which would have prevented the exception causing the crash. So I guess the question is how do I assure that didChangeSection gets called? Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Error while compiling pjsip 2 for cxode 4.3.2 and SDK 5.1

    - by Linus Persson
I'm trying to compile pjsip version 2 using the terminal and I'm getting constant error no matter what I try. Been looking for the answer all over the internet including stackoverflow. I downloaded pjsip version 2 using their subversion repository today so all files should be up to date. • Xcode: Display Login View in applicationDidBecomeActive

    - by Patrick
In my app I would like to show a login screen - which will be displayed when the app starts and when the app becomes active. For reference, I am using storyboards, ARC and it is a tabbed bar application. First off, I have this method which returns the topViewController. - (UIViewController *)topViewController:(UIViewController *)rootViewController { if (rootViewController.presentedViewController == nil) { return rootViewController; } if ([rootViewController.presentedViewController isMemberOfClass:[UINavigationController class]]) { UINavigationController *navigationController = (UINavigationController *)rootViewController.presentedViewController; UIViewController *lastViewController = [[navigationController viewControllers] lastObject]; return [self topViewController:lastViewController]; } UIViewController *presentedViewController = (UIViewController *)rootViewController.presentedViewController; return [self topViewController:presentedViewController]; } And I call this method here: - (void)applicationDidBecomeActive:(UIApplication *)application { if ( ... ) { // if the user needs to login PasswordViewController *passwordView = [[PasswordViewController alloc] init]; UIViewController *myView = [self topViewController:self.window.rootViewController]; [myView presentModalViewController:passwordView animated:NO]; } } To an extent this does work - I can call a method in viewDidAppear which shows an alert view to allow the user to log in. However, this is undesirable and I would like to have a login text box and other ui elements. If I do not call my login method, nothing happens and the screen stays black, even though I have put a label and other elements on the view. Does anyone know a way to resolve this? My passcode view is embedded in a Navigation Controller, but is detached from the main storyboard.

  • I'm trying to pass a string from my first ViewController to my second ViewController but it returns NULL

    - by Dashony
In my first view controller I have 3 input fields each of them take the user input into and saves it into a string such as: address, username and password as NSUserDefaults. This part works fine. In my second view controller I'm trying to take the 3 strings from first controller (address, username and password) create a html link based on the 3 strings. I've tried many ways to access the 3 strings with no luck, the result I get is NULL. Here is my code: //.h file - first view controller with the 3 input fields CamSetup.h #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> @interface CamSetup : UIViewController <UITextFieldDelegate> { NSString * address; NSString * username; NSString * password; IBOutlet UITextField * addressField; IBOutlet UITextField * usernameField; IBOutlet UITextField * passwordField; } -(IBAction) saveAddress: (id) sender; -(IBAction) saveUsername: (id) sender; -(IBAction) savePassword: (id) sender; @property(nonatomic, retain) UITextField *addressField; @property(nonatomic, retain) UITextField *usernameField; @property(nonatomic, retain) UITextField *passwordField; @property(nonatomic, retain) NSString *address; @property(nonatomic, retain) NSString *username; @property(nonatomic, retain) NSString *password; @end //.m file - first view controller CamSetup.m #import "CamSetup.h" @interface CamSetup () @end @implementation CamSetup @synthesize addressField, usernameField, passwordField, address, username, password; -(IBAction) saveAddress: (id) sender { address = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:addressField.text]; [addressField setText:address]; NSUserDefaults *stringDefaultAddress = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; [stringDefaultAddress setObject:address forKey:@"stringKey1"]; NSLog(@"String [%@]", address); } -(IBAction) saveUsername: (id) sender { username = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:usernameField.text]; [usernameField setText:username]; NSUserDefaults *stringDefaultUsername = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; [stringDefaultUsername setObject:username forKey:@"stringKey2"]; NSLog(@"String [%@]", username); } -(IBAction) savePassword: (id) sender { password = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:passwordField.text]; [passwordField setText:password]; NSUserDefaults *stringDefaultPassword = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; [stringDefaultPassword setObject:password forKey:@"stringKey3"]; NSLog(@"String [%@]", password); } - (void)viewDidLoad { [addressField setText:[[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] objectForKey:@"stringKey1"]]; [usernameField setText:[[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] objectForKey:@"stringKey2"]]; [passwordField setText:[[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] objectForKey:@"stringKey3"]]; [super viewDidLoad]; } @end //.h second view controller LiveView.h #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> #import "CamSetup.h" @interface LiveView : UIViewController { NSString *theAddress; NSString *theUsername; NSString *thePassword; CamSetup *camsetup; //here is an instance of the first class } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSString *theAddress; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSString *theUsername; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSString *thePassword; @end //.m second view LiveView.m file #import "LiveView.h" @interface LiveView () @end @implementation LiveView @synthesize theAddress, theUsername, thePassword; - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; theUsername = camsetup.username; //this is probably not right? • Rotate rectangle around center

    - by ESoft
    I am playing with Brad Larsen's adaption of the trackball app. I have two views at a 60 degree angle to each other and was wondering how I get the rotation to be in the center of this (non-closed) rectangle? In the images below I would have liked the rotation to take place all within the blue lines. Code (modified to only rotate around x axis): #import "MyView.h" //===================================================== // Defines //===================================================== #define DEGREES_TO_RADIANS(degrees) \ (degrees * (M_PI / 180.0f)) //===================================================== // Public Interface //===================================================== @implementation MyView - (void)awakeFromNib { transformed = [CALayer layer]; transformed.anchorPoint = CGPointMake(0.5f, 0.5f); transformed.frame = self.bounds; [self.layer addSublayer:transformed]; CALayer *imageLayer = [CALayer layer]; imageLayer.frame = CGRectMake(10.0f, 4.0f, self.bounds.size.width / 2.0f, self.bounds.size.height / 2.0f); imageLayer.transform = CATransform3DMakeRotation(DEGREES_TO_RADIANS(60.0f), 1.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f); imageLayer.contents = (id)[[UIImage imageNamed:@"IMG_0051.png"] CGImage]; imageLayer.borderColor = [UIColor yellowColor].CGColor; imageLayer.borderWidth = 2.0f; [transformed addSublayer:imageLayer]; imageLayer = [CALayer layer]; imageLayer.frame = CGRectMake(10.0f, 120.0f, self.bounds.size.width / 2.0f, self.bounds.size.height / 2.0f); imageLayer.transform = CATransform3DMakeRotation(DEGREES_TO_RADIANS(-60.0f), 1.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f); imageLayer.contents = (id)[[UIImage imageNamed:@"IMG_0089.png"] CGImage]; imageLayer.borderColor = [UIColor greenColor].CGColor; imageLayer.borderWidth = 2.0f; transformed.borderColor = [UIColor whiteColor].CGColor; transformed.borderWidth = 2.0f; [transformed addSublayer:imageLayer]; UIView *line = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, self.bounds.size.height / 2.0f, self.bounds.size.width, 2)]; [line setBackgroundColor:[UIColor redColor]]; [self addSubview:line]; line = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, self.bounds.size.height * (1.0f / 4.0f), self.bounds.size.width, 2)]; [line setBackgroundColor:[UIColor blueColor]]; [self addSubview:line]; line = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, self.bounds.size.height * (3.0f / 4.0f), self.bounds.size.width, 2)]; [line setBackgroundColor:[UIColor blueColor]]; [self addSubview:line]; } - (void)touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { previousLocation = [[touches anyObject] locationInView:self]; } - (void)touchesMoved:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { CGPoint location = [[touches anyObject] locationInView:self]; //location = CGPointMake(previousLocation.x, location.y); CATransform3D currentTransform = transformed.sublayerTransform; //CGFloat displacementInX = location.x - previousLocation.x; CGFloat displacementInX = previousLocation.x - location.x; CGFloat displacementInY = previousLocation.y - location.y; CGFloat totalRotation = sqrt((displacementInX * displacementInX) + (displacementInY * displacementInY)); CGFloat angle = DEGREES_TO_RADIANS(totalRotation); CGFloat x = ((displacementInX / totalRotation) * currentTransform.m12 + (displacementInY/totalRotation) * currentTransform.m11); CATransform3D rotationalTransform = CATransform3DRotate(currentTransform, angle, x, 0, 0); previousLocation = location; transformed.sublayerTransform = rotationalTransform; } - (void)touchesEnded:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { } - (void)dealloc { [super dealloc]; } @end

I have to get out of the app and come back in and this time, based on the previously entered credentials, facebook redirects appropriately to my app. My login url: url = {https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?client_id=____&redirect_uri=https://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html&response_type=token&display=wap&scope=user_about_me, user_birthday, friends_birthday, friends_status, friends_photos} The Error page url: __&type=external&refid=9&m_sess=xQ9hV-HbwXg64o&_rdr"http://m.facebook.com/developers/login_error.php?app_id=__&type=external&refid=9&m_sess=xQ9hV-HbwXg64o&_rdr What am I missing? Has something changed? Thanks, Kushal.

  • populate uipicker view with results from core data DB using an NSArray

    - by Chris
I am trying to populate a UIPickerView with the results of a NSFetchRequest. The results of the NSFetchRequest are then stored in an NSArray. I am using Core Data to interact with the SQLite DB. I have a simple class file that contains a UIPickerView that is associated with a storyboard scene in my project. The header file for the class looks like the following, ViewControllerUsers.h #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> #import "AppDelegate.h" @interface ViewControllerUsers : UIViewController <NSFetchedResultsControllerDelegate, UIPickerViewDelegate, UIPickerViewDataSource> { NSArray *dictionaries; } @property (nonatomic, strong) NSFetchedResultsController *fetchedResultsController; // Core Data @property (strong, nonatomic) NSManagedObjectContext *managedObjectContext; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSArray *users; @property (strong, nonatomic) IBOutlet UIPickerView *uiPickerViewUsers; @property (weak, nonatomic) IBOutlet UIBarButtonItem *btnDone; @property (weak, nonatomic) IBOutlet UIButton *btnChangePin; // added for testing purposes @property (nonatomic, strong) NSArray *usernames; - (IBAction)dismissScene:(id)sender; - (IBAction)changePin:(id)sender; @end The implementation file looks like the following, ViewControllerUsers.m #import "ViewControllerUsers.h" @interface ViewControllerUsers () @end @implementation ViewControllerUsers // Core Data @synthesize managedObjectContext = _managedObjectContext; @synthesize uiPickerViewUsers = _uiPickerViewUsers; @synthesize usernames = _usernames; - (id)initWithNibName:(NSString *)nibNameOrNil bundle:(NSBundle *)nibBundleOrNil { self = [super initWithNibName:nibNameOrNil bundle:nibBundleOrNil]; if (self) { // Custom initialization } return self; } - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; // Do any additional setup after loading the view. // Core Data if (_managedObjectContext == nil) { _managedObjectContext = [(AppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate] managedObjectContext]; NSLog(@"After _managedObjectContext: %@", _managedObjectContext); } NSFetchRequest *request = [NSFetchRequest fetchRequestWithEntityName:@"Account"]; NSEntityDescription *entity = [NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"Account" inManagedObjectContext:_managedObjectContext]; request.resultType = NSDictionaryResultType; request.propertiesToFetch = [NSArray arrayWithObject:[[entity propertiesByName] objectForKey:@"username"]]; request.returnsDistinctResults = YES; _usernames = [_managedObjectContext executeFetchRequest:request error:nil]; NSLog (@"names: %@",_usernames); } -(NSInteger)numberOfComponentsInPickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView { //One column return 1; } -(NSInteger)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView numberOfRowsInComponent:(NSInteger)component { //set number of rows return _usernames.count; } -(NSString *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView titleForRow:(NSInteger)row forComponent:(NSInteger)component { //set item per row return [_usernames objectAtIndex:row]; } - (void)didReceiveMemoryWarning { [super didReceiveMemoryWarning]; // Dispose of any resources that can be recreated. } - (void)viewDidUnload { [self setBtnDone:nil]; [self setUiPickerViewUsers:nil]; [self setBtnChangePin:nil]; [super viewDidUnload]; } - (IBAction)dismissScene:(id)sender { [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; } - (IBAction)changePin:(id)sender { } @end The current code is causing the app to crash, but the NSLog is show the results of the NSFetchRequest in the NSArray. I currently think that I am not formatting the results of the NSFetchRequest in the NSArray properly if I had to take a guess. The crash log looks like the following, 2013-06-26 16:49:24.219 KegCop[41233:c07] names: ( { username = blah; }, { username = chris; }, { username = root; } ) 2013-06-26 16:49:24.223 KegCop[41233:c07] -[NSKnownKeysDictionary1 isEqualToString:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0xe54d9a0 2013-06-26 16:49:24.223 KegCop[41233:c07] Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[NSKnownKeysDictionary1 isEqualToString:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0xe54d9a0' First throw call stack:

  • How to eval javascript code with iPhone SDK?

    - by overboming
I need to fetch some result on a webpage, which use some javascript code to generate the part I am interesting in like following eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c};if(!''.replace(/^/,String)){while(c--)d[c]=k[c]||c;k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return'\\w+'};c=1;};while(c--)if(k[c])p=p.replace(new RegExp('\\b'+e(c)+'\\b','g'),k[c]);return p;}('5 11=17;5 12=["/3/2/1/0/13.4","/3/2/1/0/15.4","/3/2/1/0/14.4","/3/2/1/0/7.4","/3/2/1/0/6.4","/3/2/1/0/8.4","/3/2/1/0/10.4","/3/2/1/0/9.4","/3/2/1/0/23.4","/3/2/1/0/22.4","/3/2/1/0/24.4","/3/2/1/0/26.4","/3/2/1/0/25.4","/3/2/1/0/18.4","/3/2/1/0/16.4","/3/2/1/0/19.4","/3/2/1/0/21.4"];5 20=0;',10,27,'40769|54|Images|Files|png|var|imanhua_005_140430179|imanhua_004_140430179|imanhua_006_140430226|imanhua_008_140430242|imanhua_007_140430226|len|pic|imanhua_001_140429664|imanhua_003_140430117|imanhua_002_140430070|imanhua_015_140430414||imanhua_014_140430382|imanhua_016_140430414|sid|imanhua_017_140430429|imanhua_010_140430289|imanhua_009_140430242|imanhua_011_140430367|imanhua_013_140430382|imanhua_012_140430367'.split('|'),0,{})) How do I get the evaluation output?

  • Store an array of UIViews in NSUserDefaults

    - by Mona
I'm trying to add an array of uiviews to NSDefault but it doesn't seem to be keep the array. Does any one know why? I also tried to store each view in nsvalue before storing it in nsdefault which still didn't work. NSArray *arr = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:[NSValue valueWithNonretainedObject:myView], nil]]; NSUserDefaults *defaults = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; [defaults setObject:arr forKey:@"myKey"]; NSArray *resultArray = [defaults objectForKey:@"myKey"]; and resultArray is nil! Thanks the reason why I'm trying to do this is because these are the header views of my uitableview. Since it takes time to create them I wanted to create them only once and store them for future access.
