AngularJS: How to make angular load script inside ng-include?

Hey I am building a web page with angular. The problem is that there are somethings already build without angular and I have to include them as well The problem is this. I have something like this in my main.html: <ngInclude src="partial.html"> </ngInclude> And my partial.html has something like this <h2> heading 1 <h2> <script type="text/javascript" src="static/js/partial.js"> </script> And my partial.js has nothing to do with angularjs. nginclude works and I can see the html, but I can not see the javascript file being loaded at all. I know how to use firebug/ chrome-dev-tool, but I can not even see the network request being made. What am I doing wrong? I knwo angular has some special meaning to script tag. Can I override it?

Facebook Like Meta Tags not showing Images

I have implemented the Facebook Like button on all our pages and it works properly by posting to Facebook with the correct meta tags. However, the images do not show in Facebook. The image meta tags show up properly when I use the Facebook Linter, but they don't show on someone's facebook page where the Like is posted on their wall. Also, is there any way to have the info recache more often? The tags take forever to update. Our site is built with CakePHP. Using struts.xml with convention plugin

This seems like it should be easy to do, but I just can make it work. I'm hooked on the convention plugin in Struts 2.1. However, I need to define some package-level configuration such as a new interceptor stack and exception mappings. I'd like to use the struts.xml file for this, but I can't get the convention-based packages matched to the struts.xml packages. Using Scala and StringTemplate, how do I loop through a Map

I have my environment setup nicely using Scala, StringTempalte within the Google AppEngine. I am having trouble looping through a Map and getting it to display in the template. When I assign a simple List of just Strings to the template it works using: In Scala Servlet: var photos = List[String]() //... get photo url and title ... photos = photo_url :: photos template.setAttribute("photos", photos: _*) In Template: $photos: { photo| <div><img src="$photo$_s.jpg"></div> }$ The above works. However, any attempt of creating a Map using url and title and assigning to the template gives me an error. Z-index broken in IE8?

Hi there This code works in every other browser I've tried, except IE8. IE8 appears to ignore the z-index - and the pop-up becomes a pop-under. Downloading javascript Without Blocking

The context: My question relates to improving web-page loading performance, and in particular the effect that javascript has on page-loading (resources/elements below the script are blocked from downloading/rendering). This problem is usually avoided/mitigated by placing the scripts at the bottom (eg, just before the tag). The code i am looking at is for web analytics. Placing it at the bottom reduces its accuracy; and because this script has no effect on the page's content, ie, it's not re-writing any part of the page--i want to move it inside the head. Just how to do that without ruining page-loading performance is the crux. From my research, i've found six techniques (w/ support among all or most of the major browsers) for downloading scripts so that they don't block down-page content from loading/rendering: (i) XHR + eval(); (ii) XHR + 'inject'; (iii) download the HTML-wrapped script as in iFrame; (iv) setting the script tag's 'async' flag to 'TRUE' (HTML 5 only); (v) setting the script tag's 'defer' attribute; and (vi) 'Script DOM Element'. It's the last of these i don't understand. The javascript to implement the pattern (vi) is: (function() { var q1 = document.createElement('script'); q1.src = 'http://www.my_site.com/q1.js' document.documentElement.firstChild.appendChild(q1) })(); Seems simple enough: inside this anonymous function, a script element is created, its 'src' element is set to it's location, then the script element is added to the DOM. But while each line is clear, it's still not clear to me how exactly this pattern allows script loading without blocking down-page elements/resources from rendering/loading?

JQuery object expected error when accessing page via url routing.

In my global.asax I have url routing setup like below: routes.MapPageRoute("User Logon", "{Vendor}/Logon", "~/Logon.aspx"); In the logon.aspx page, I have a script that "stylizes" the logon button: <link href="jquery/css/flick/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="images/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script src="jquery/js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="jquery/js/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('#<%= ButtonLogon.ClientID %>').button(); }); </script> When I access the page us a url (in debug mode) http://localhost/logon.aspx?v=1 the page loads correctly and the jquery button command loads correctly. But then I access the page using the new url route, I get this error. Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object expected Anyone have an idea why this occurs? Thanks.

Hello I got a menu which can foldout and show some content based on the menu item. Loading Jscript files into Firefox extension

Hi ! Let's get directly to the problem : I'm actually doing a firefox extension in which i would like to implement the jWebsocket API in order to build a small chat. I got my main script file, named test.js, and the jWebsocket lib into a js folder. Just for you to know, this is my first firefox extension ever. So in my XUL file I got this (for the script part only of course, the interface code is not shown) : <overlay id="test-overlay" xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"> <script type="application/x-javascript" src="chrome://test/content/test.js" /> <script type="application/x-javascript" src="chrome://test/content/js/jwebsocket.js" /> jwebsocket.js being the file I need to call according to jWebsocket website. In my main script file test.js I start with : if (jws.browserSupportsWebSockets()) { jWebSocketClient = new jws.jWebSocketJSONClient(); } else { var lMsg = jws.MSG_WS_NOT_SUPPORTED; alert(lMsg); } jws being the namespace created into the jwebsocket.js file. Of course I've got the required stand-alone server running in background, and working. So from what I understood looking on various websites, is that if a js file is loaded into the javascript allocated memory space (with the tag), all namespace/function should be available between each file. But this was mostly for HTML-oriented issues, so I'm not sure if it applies to XUL/Firefox environment. But the script keep failing at the first jws call. Any ideas on what goes wrong here ? I'm stuck for 2 days now :/

How to place an element at the bottom of a page, without declaring a position?

I have a row of icons that need to be at the bottom of the page, they also need to be fixed. Simple, right? Not. When you position them fixed, the icons fall into one another so only one icon shows. Well there goes that, but there also goes the chance of placing them at the bottom of the page since I need #icons { position:fixed; bottom:0; } I could always manually place them, but this means they cant be fixed like I need them too, and I would have to declare it for different browsers. Help? jquery image fading with tabs

Hey all, i am trying my best to figure out how to go about doing this: I have 2 tabs. When the page loads tab1 is selected automatically. This shows the tab as 1.0 transparency while tab2 stays at 0.7. Once the user clicks on tab2, tab1 goes to 0.7 transparency and tab2 goes to 1.0. However, i can not seem to get it to do that! Django Template For Loop Removing <img> Self-Closing

Django's for loop seems to be removing all of my <img> tag's self-closing...ness (/>). In the Template, I have this code: {% for item in item_list %} <li> <a class="left" href="{{ item.url }}">{{ item.name }}</a> <a class="right" href="{{ item.url }}"> <img src="{{ item.icon.url }}" alt="{{ item.name }} Logo." /> </a> </li> {% endfor %} It outputs this: <li> <a class="left" href="/some-url/">This is an item</a> <a class="right" href="/some-url/"> <img src="/media/img/some-item.jpg" alt="This is an item Logo."> </a> </li> As you can see, the <img> tag is no longer closed, and thus the page doesn't validate. This isn't a huge issue since it'll still render properly in all browsers, but I'd like to know how to solve it. I've tried wrapping the whole for loop in {% autoescape off %}...{% endautoescape %} but that didn't change anything. All other self-closed <img> tags in the document outside the for loop still properly close.

Is this the best practice? Do I have to create the separated js file to add event on the return text?? I have been trying to get a simple example of the jquery-ui autocomplete to work. I have a controller setup to handle the query, and it returns the json that looks to be in order, but I am getting no suggestions showing up. But I get no joy at all. Any thoughts?

Hello, I know that there are multiple issues with jQuery Tabs and using Maps. And I have seen the multiple fixes and I am half-way there. But I have the most obscure issue and hoping that someone might understand why. juqery image fading with tabs

Hey all, i am trying my best to figure out how to go about doing this: I have 2 tabs. When the page loads tab1 is selected automatically. This shows the tab as 1.0 transparency while tab2 stays at 0.7. Once the user clicks on tab2, tab1 goes to 0.7 transparency and tab2 goes to 1.0. However, i can not seem to get it to do that! Generated HTML word document not displaying image correctly

I'm trying to add an image to a generated html word document that is embedded in a classic ASP page. Your computer may not have enough memory to open the image, or the image may be corrupted. Restart your computer, and then open the file again. If the red x still appears, you may have to delete the image and then insert it again. If i copy the html code and try to open the word document on my local machine, it displays the image correctly. It just doesn't work when retrieving the document from the server. This happens for any images I try to add. Is there another way to add images to html-generated word documents that can be output from an asp page? Thanks.

ASP.NET/C#: How to use a Subclassed Control on a Page?

I've subclassed DropDownList to add functionality specific to my application: public class MyDropDownList : DropDownList { ... } ... then referenced it in Web.Config, which is where I figure things start to go wrong: <pages theme="Main"> <controls> <add tagPrefix="bob" tagName="MyDropDownList" src="~/Components/MyDropDownList.cs" /> </controls> </pages> my reference to it does not work: <tr><td>Category</td> <td><bob:MyDropDownList runat="server" ID="Category"... /> and my best clue is the complier error message: "The file 'src' is not a valid [sic] here because it doesn't expose a type." I figure I'm misapplying knowledge of how to create a Web User Control here. What I want to be able to do is refer to this control on an ASP.NET page just like I would the parent DropDownList. Refactoring back into a Web User Control that contains a DropDownList is not desirable, because I want to apply a RequiredFieldValidator to it.

maven and unit testing - combining maven surefire plugin AND testNG eclipse plugin

Hey, could you please share your way of unit testing in eclipse ? Are you using surefire plugin, m2eclipse & maven, or only testNG eclipse plugin ? Do you combine these alternatives ? I'm using testNG + maven surefire-plugin and I had been using the testNG eclipse plugin a year ago so that I could see the results in testNG view. Then I started using Maven, but when I do "maven test phase" using m2eclipse, there is only console output and surefire reports that I can check in browser and to choose what test suite, test, or test method can be set up only via testng.xml. On the other hand, if you use only surefire plugin and you have some specific settings regarding classpath etc., that you rely on, then running tests via testNG eclipse plugin doesn't have to be compatible with your code. Using surefire plugin, the classpath is different - target/test-classes and target/classes - than using testNG plugin, that is using the project classpath. How do you go about what I was just talking about? Is it possible to synchronize "maven test" using m2eclipse and surefire plugin WITH testNG eclipse plugin and view ? EDITED: I'm also wondering, why the Maven project ("Java build path") output folder is target/classes for src/main and src/test whereas surefire plugin makes two locations target/test-classes and target/classes Thank you very much for your your opinions.
