  • What if I change my Android App price to free and after i change idea?

    - by Skatephone
Hi, i have read on the market support that "If you have previously published an application for free, you cannot change it to have a price." But I was wondering, if at the contrary I change my app from payed to free and some time after i want to re change it from free to payed! Can I? And if yes, Have I to wait some period (I have read something like this in the contract)? Tnk's Valerio From Italy

  • Opening Macro definitions: tdfx_span.c: lvalue required as left operand of assignment

    - by anttir
    Hi, I'm trying to compile X11R6-7.0 under Ubuntu maverick and got some weird compilation errors I'm unable to resolve myself. I needed X11R6-7.0 as ati catalyst drivers don't support newer xorg and oss drivers don't support 3d acceleration of my hardware. Anyone know what this error message means? I know some C but I got a bit confused. Does it mean GET_FB_DATA macro returned NULL or some method/property not set? Any further insight how to "debug" preprocessor definitions at this point would be great. I don't think I can print anything useful with #error. The error I get: tdfx_span.c: In function ‘tdfxDDWriteDepthPixels’: tdfx_span.c:976: error: lvalue required as left operand of assignment tdfx_span.c:1008: error: lvalue required as left operand of assignment tdfx_span.c: In function ‘write_stencil_pixels’: tdfx_span.c:1242: error: lvalue required as left operand of assignment the Code: 958- switch (depth_size) { 959- case 16: 960- GetBackBufferInfo(fxMesa, &backBufferInfo); 961- /* 962- * Note that the _LOCK macro adds a curly brace, 963- * and the UNLOCK macro removes it. 964- */ 965- WRITE_FB_SPAN_LOCK(fxMesa, info, 966- GR_BUFFER_AUXBUFFER, GR_LFBWRITEMODE_ANY); 967- { 968- LFBParameters ReadParams; 969- GetFbParams(fxMesa, &info, &backBufferInfo, 970- &ReadParams, sizeof(GLushort)); 971- for (i = 0; i < n; i++) { 972- if (mask[i] && visible_pixel(fxMesa, x[i], y[i])) { 973- xpos = x[i] + fxMesa->x_offset; 974- ypos = bottom - y[i]; 975- d16 = depth[i]; 976: PUT_FB_DATA(&ReadParams, GLushort, xpos, ypos, d16); 977- } 978- } 979- } 980- WRITE_FB_SPAN_UNLOCK(fxMesa, GR_BUFFER_AUXBUFFER); 981- break; 982- case 24: And relative macros: #define GET_FB_DATA(ReadParamsp, type, x, y) \ (((x) < (ReadParamsp)->firstWrappedX) \ ?   • Simulate Offline Mode for HTML5 Cache Testing

    - by Kevin Sylvestre
I have an HTML5 application that requires offline support. I am using a local Apache server for the application, and am trying to figure out what the best way is to simulate offline mode (currently, in Firefox I disable my Air-Port to simulate offline mode, but this is a pain). Any suggestions? I am open to using other browsers if a method exists that doesn't require turning off my Internet.

  • Are there any new/updated Java web development frameworks to watch for?

    - by predhme
I know recently Spring 3.0 was released which brought about a nice new set of features and ease of web development with their MVC package. However are there any new frameworks on the horizon and/or new versions of other frameworks that a web developer should have their eyes on? I heard about the Stripes framework, but it seems as though development has stopped. It also seems grails has a new release coming out as well which that looks like it is just an update to support the new features in the latest groovy release.

  • .Net 4.0 Memory-Mapped Files verses RDMS Storage

    - by Harry
I'm interested in people's thoughts comparing storing data in a traditional SQL based Database or utilising a Memory-Mapped File such as the one in the new .Net 4.0 runtime. The data in question would be arrays of simple structures. Obvious pros and cons: SQL Database Pros Adhoc query support SQL Management Tools Schema changes (adding more columns and setting default values) Memory-Mapped Pros Lighter overhead? (this is an assumption on my part) Shareable between process threads Any others? Is it worth it for performance gains?

  • What's the best way to add scripting to an Android app?

    - by Omega
I have an XML based file format that I'm using to store and load instances of objects. I'm interested in adding some scripting support to those objects so that they can respond to events. That said, I also don't want to cripple performance. Are there any well known scripting options for Android - maybe even ones where while loading, I can pre-compile and cache the scripts?

  • CSS filter for IE6 standard mode and quirk mode?

    - by jackysee
Is there any CSS filter can be applied to detect IE6's standard mode and quirk mode? The story is that a jQuery script is using $.support.boxModel to handle different rendering mode. But the CSS use the *width hack to define the dimension. But this hack can only filter whether the browser is IE but not the real rendering mode IE is on.

  • Scalable chat site in python

    - by user346572
Hey guys, I have an idea that I'd like to start implementing that at the crux of it, will basically be a chat website, and will need to support multiple rooms. Quite frankly, I'm not too sure where to begin with regards to setting up a very sturdy/scalable chat system in python (or another language if you guys believe it to be a better alternative), so any suggestions that can get me pointed in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I tell [G]vim where to look for python26.dll?

    - by Ariel
I have a version of Vim compiled with python 2.6 support enabled (from here). however vim cannot find the python26.dll. :version confirms +python/dyn :version and gvim.exe confirms DYNAMIC_PYTHON_DLL="python26.dll" echo PATH confirms python26.dll is in the search path. (both c:\windows\system32, and C:\python26) What could I be missing? Did I skip something silly?

  • Store CSPC and UPC Codes in Rails

Due to lack of Mercurial support in several tools, and managerial oppression it has become necessary to convert several trial Mercurial repositories to Subversion in order to conform with the company standard. Are there any tools or suggestions for how to achieve this without a loss of revision history and the like?

  • What is the current state of the art in HTML canvas JavaScript libraries and frameworks?

    - by Toby Hede
I am currently investigating options for working with the canvas in a new HTML 5 application, and was wondering what is the current state of the art in HTML canvas JavaScript libraries and frameworks? In particular, are there frameworks that support the kind of things needed for game development - complex animation, managing scene graphs, handling events and user interactions? Also willing to consider both commercial and open source products.

  • Issue building C++ DLL with Visual Studio 2010

    - by Jon Tackabury
I have a very simple DLL written in unmanaged C++ that I access from my application. I recently switch to Visual Studio 2010, and the DLL went from 55k down to 35k with no code changes, and now it will no longer load in Windows 2000. I didn't change any code or compiler settings. I have my defines setup for 0x0500, which should include Windows 2000 support. Has anyone else run into this, or have any ideas of what I can do?
