• jQuery jPicker path issues when used in WordPress Theme Options

  Anyone with experience using jPicker colorpicker in a WordPress Custom Theme options panel. I believe that the default path for the jPicker resources is /jPicker/ relative to the location the js file appears, however, I'm not seeing the picker.gif icon, so I tried changing the path in the js file like so... images:{clientPath:"../wp-content/themes/myTheme/images/" Everything else appears to be working at first load. My bound input field's background color is the same as the currently selected color. However, the picker.gif icon is missing. Where it should appear, I've just got a 2px wide by 20px tall color element (looks like a div perhaps).

• Creating/Handling events for controls when added during runtime.

  I am using a Repeater which contains a placeholder. The placeholder is bound to my database and each ItemTemplate contains 1-6 radiobuttons depending on what the database returns. • Silverlight datagrid don't show any data with anonymous query RIA services

  Hi all! I have an anonymous linq query that I bind to a datagrid, when I debug it brings alright the data but it doesn't show in the datagrid, I suspect that the request to RIA services isn't completed before I bound it to the datagrid. I could use the LoadOperation<() Completed event. But it only works with Defined Entities so how can I do that? When the gridview is sorted by the, I get the incorrect values (1st selection of the sorted view return 1st row of unsorted Table). How could I solve this...   I'll just go straight to the point. Let's say we have this markup: <span href="">Text <a href="">Link</a></span> We have events bound to both elements. How do I make it such that when I click on the anchor tag, the event on the parent will not be triggered? I've tried using the Jquery method stopPropagation() but still no luck. Any thoughts? • Php is stripping one letter "g" from my rtrim function but not other chars

  I'm trying to trim some youtube URLs that I am reading in from a playlist. The first 3 work fine and all their URLs either end in caps or numbers but this one that ends in a lower case g is getting trimmed one character shorter than the rest. for ($z=0; $z <= 3; $z++) { $ythref2 = rtrim($tubeArray["feed"]["entry"][$z]["link"][0]["href"], '&feature=youtube_gdata'); The URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuE88oVCVjg&feature=youtube_gdata .. and it should get trimmed down to .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuE88oVCVjg but instead it is coming out as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuE88oVCVj. I think it may be the ampersand symbol but I am not sure.

• Can I bind multiple forms to a single model using the default model binder?

  I have a complex page with several forms on it. The page is divided into sections, and each section has a continue button on it. The page is bound to a pageViewModel, each section addresses a different set of properties on the model. The continue button makes an ajax call to the controller, and the model binder binds it appropriately to the appropriate sections of the model. The section is refreshed appropriately. Finally, I would like to have a save button at the bottom of the page that takes all the forms, and binds all of the forms to the model. The model, at this point has all of the properties filled out, and can be processed accordingly. Can I accomplish this by some ASP MVC magic?

  For example: Cardinality and optionality are orthogonal properties of a relationship. You can specify that a relationship is optional, even if you have specified upper and/or lower bounds. This means that there do not have to be any objects at the destination, but if there are then the number of objects must lie within the bounds specified. What exactly does "orthogonal" mean? I bet it's just a fancy soundig nerd-style word for something that could be expressed a lot easier to understand for average people ;) From wikipedia: In mathematics, two vectors are orthogonal if they are perpendicular, i.e., they form a right angle. The word comes from the Greek ????? (orthos), meaning "straight", and ????a (gonia), meaning "angle". Anyone?

  I'm looking for a regex to validate initials. The only format I want it to allow is: (a capital followed by a period), and that one or more times Valid examples: A. A.B. A.B.C. Invalid examples: a. a A A B A B C AB ABC Using The Regulator and some websites I have found the following regex, but it only allows exactly one upper (or lower!) case character followed by a period: ^[A-Z][/.]$ Basically I only need to know how to force upper case characters, and how I can repeat the validation to allow more the one occurence of an upper case character followed by a period.

I am thinking that ptr returned by test.c_str() will be a temporary and if i bound it to a reference that reference will not be valid. • Why would a TableAdapter populate a DataSet with "1/1/2000" for an entire timestamp column?

  I have a TableAdapter filling a DataSet, and for some reason every select query populates my timestamp column with the value 1/1/2000 for every selected row. I first verified that original values are intact on the DB side; for the most part, they are, although it seems a few rows lost their original timestamp because of update queries performed programmatically before the issue was discovered. The DataColumn type is DateType, while the database (Postgres) column type is timestamp. Up until recently, this was all playing very nicely. I noticed the issue in a bound DataGridView control, and verified that this is not related to data binding by utilizing the 'Preview Data' option in the VS DataSet Editor. Usually when I notice unexpected values popping up in my application it's related to a mis-configured property, type conflict, or another silly mistake I've made. So after checking properties and types, and even recreating the TableAdapter from scratch, to say I'm a little baffled is an understatement. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to fix the issue and/or diagnose the cause?

  I want a read only column bound to a boolean that shows a check mark image when true and nothing when false. The problem is the false value; I just want to show whatever the background of the datagrid is, but I don't see how to clear the image source. What should the Value of the image source be to do this?   I would like to use autoload to use an existings database. Pass an engine to the Table via autoload_with=<someengine>, or associate the MetaData with an engine via metadata.bind=<someengine> The problem here is that I don't know where to get the engine from (to use it in autoload_with) at the stage of importing the model (it's available in init_model()). I tried adding meta.Base.metadata.bind(engine) to environment.py but it doesn't work. Anyone has found some elegant solution?

  I have an NSArrayController which is bound to a class in my Managed Object Context. During runtime the NSArrayController can have a number of different filter predicates applied. At certain intervals, I want to iterate through my NSArrayController's contents regardless of the filter predicate applied to it. To do this, I set the filterPredicate to nil and then reinstate it after having iterated through my array. This seems to work, but I'm wondering if it's best practice? Should I instead be polling my Managed Object Context manually? • Android MapView with High Res tiles?

  I have created a simple map app that shows the local garage sales in my town. It was simple enough to create and I parse out the Google Maps (html) xml doc that the local paper uses on their google maps mashup on their website. I have noticed that the Map Tiles used in the MapView class are not as high-res as the tiles used in the real Android Google Maps app (I have a Droid). I have searched the docs and google, but I cannot find any info on this. Actually, I can't even find anyone mentioning this, which surprises me and makes me think I am missing something simple. Is this a case of Google making the APIs available, but at a lower quality, or am I missing some setting that enables higher quality map tiles?

• jQuery live() and stopPropagation() issue

  I know that the live() event handles event bubbling different than all other jQuery events. jQuery recommends using 'return false', but in my case that doesn't work. The issue is: I have a DIV which contains an anchor tag. The DIV is bound using live(). Whenever I click the anchor tag inside this DIV it bubbles and calls the DIV's event. If I bind an event to that A tag which returns false it prevents the link from opening. Neither stopPropagation() or return false work in this case. Are there any other options? Ideally I'd like to keep the live() event around.

• I'm not sure if I should use a redirect

  Hi there, I have an affiliate link on my webpage. When you click on the link it follows the href value which is as follows: www.site_name.com/?refer=my_affiliate_id This would be fine, except that the site offers no tracking for the ads, so I can't tell how many clicks I am getting. I could easily implement my own tracking by changing the original link href value to a php script which increments some click stats in a database and then redirects the user to the original page. But I have read some articles that say that using redirects may be seen by google as a sign of 'blackhat' techniques and they might rank me lower, unindex my site or even hurt the site that I'm redirecting too. Does anybody know if this is true, or have any idea of the best way I could go about this? Many thanks in advance Joe

• Cocoa : Remove Item from NSArrayController

  I have a NSArrayController bound to a NSTableView. With this I have the typical Add/Remove buttons. While Adding an item is very straight forward (I call a method, create an object with default values and add it) I have problems deleting objects from the controller. I know I can do this the easy way when connecting the button with the remove action from the ArrayController. But this is not what I want. I need to remove the object manually because I have some additional code to process. Anway, removing objects seems far more complcated then I expected. It already tried: NSArray *items = [doToItemsArrayController selectedObjects]; [doToItemsArrayController removeSelectedObjects:items]; or NSIndexSet *iSet = [doToItemsArrayController selectionIndexes]; [doToItemsArrayController removeSelectionIndexes:iSet]; None of them seems to work. How do I remove the selected Object from an NSArrayController with Objective-C code?

• Max tcp/ip connections on Windows Server 2008

  I have .Net service that listens on single port over TCP protocol. Clients connect and then transmit data for some time (from few minutes to several hours). Is there any limit on number of connections on Windows 2008 server? I did not hit any, since now there is up to 50 users. Plan is to have thousands of users, so I'd like to know if there will be problems in future. Edit: As Cloud answered, it seems that there are some limits in some versions of Windows Server 2008. Is there any reference on those limits? I tried Google, but it returns articles on limit on half-bound tcp connections.

• Problem with onscreen keyboard on Droid

  Hi all i am developing an application which has a general text entry form. So while testing on my moto droid, i am facing a strange issue-- when i touch an input field ( which is at lower end of the screen) -- the on screen keyboard pops up and hides the input field. So user have to enter blindly. So is this a sdk issue OR it is particular for droids OR am i doing something wrong??? I have tested this same form on G1, Hero..i see no issues at all. Please help...

• How to change the BlackBerry volume, or mute it?

  My current code is this: int volume = Alert.getVolume(); // reads 100 Alert.setVolume(0); It DOESN'T change the volume setting, like it would be supposed to do :( Even calling Alert.mute(true) doesn't produce any good effect. Audio.setVolume(0) also doesn't work! I'm running this on a Curve 8310. I have another software installed though that successfully manages to lower the volume setting a lot...so I suppose I'm doing something wrong. Any idea?
