  • MySql TEXT column?

    I ran this using MySql and it appears to not like TEXT. With SQL server i use nvarchar(max) What should i use in MySQL? In other tables some fields will be descriptions and may be long so ATM i am thinking fixed length is bad. create table if not exists misc_info ( id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTO_INCREMENT NOT NULL, key TEXT UNIQUE NOT NULL, value TEXT NOT NULL)ENGINE=INNODB;

  • c# string format issue

    Hi guys I need to convert a string to a monetary format of {###}.###.###,## that is a value of 5461497702600 would become 54.614.977.026,00 The numbers become excessively large. I am using return string.Format(string.Format("{0:#" + (val < 1000 ? "" : "\\.") + "##0.00}", val)); which returns for the example 54614977.026,00 (only one dot) Any help would be appreciated

    I have a very big list of file names that end with a the following: .c .h .cpp and much more. I need to extract file names that end with .c and .h How do I do that? Also, how could I add quotation marks to the beginning and end of the word, followed with a comma? For example, if I have this in the list: mi_var.c How could I extract it from a very big list, and everything else that ends in .c and replace it to have quotation marks and a comma at the end? Like this: "mi_var.c", I'm new to this, any help is greatly appreciated.   • Input type "Text" to have a blurred text, which dissappears onFocus?

    Some websites have forms with input type="text". And inside these textboxes there is a blurred text, which says for example: "Enter your name here". And then onClick or OnFocus or whatever, the text dissappears and you can type into the textbox. Like the title of posting a question here at stackoverflow, same thing. How is this done easiest way? Would prefer if there was not too much js involved. Thanks

  • MySQL TEXT field performance

    I have several TEXT and/or MEDIUMTEXT fields in each of our 1000 MySQL tables. I now know that TEXT fields are written to disk rather than in memory when queried. Is that also true even if that field is not called in the query? For example, if I have a table (tbExam) with 2 fields (id int(11) and comment text) and I run SELECT id FROM tbExam, does MySQL still have to write that to disk before returning results or will it run that query in memory? I am trying to figure out if I need to reconfigure our actual db tables to switch to varchar(xxxx) or keep the text fields and reconfigure the queries.

(terrific, but IE works fine with it) Why not in Opera?!!! And what can I do to make Opera 12.02 believe that all text in "Container" is selected?

  • How to find text in images with the browser control+F

    Have HTML pages with many sections and each section has a section title displayed as an image (to use nice font). The problem is that even if I specify an 'alt' and 'title' text on each image/title the Ctrl+F browser functionality does not find the text. Thought two possible solutions but not very happy about them 1) Use embed fonts. Problem: Can not find the font required by client to use and not sure about copyrights. 2) Have the text in the image in DIV near the image but hidden from user view. Problem: Can search engines consider this keyword stuffing? Will browser find text if display:none Does anybody has a better solution? Thanks Riga

  • Background text in a Bootstrap WELL

    I have a problem putting a text in the background of a Bootstrap well. I first posted the problem in this question, but that was a too simple representation of my problem. I'm looking for an effect created in this jFiddle, a text in the background of a menu. The example works how I want to to work, but when I put this in a Bootstrap Well I get this (http://jsfiddle.net/aBqw8/21/). The background text disappears, it's probably behind the Well. When I remove the background color from the well I can see the text. If I remove the "position:relative" from the span it shows the title, but then it interferes with the menu, which is what I am trying to avoid. Thanks for your help!
